Bound By Agreement: The Alpha's Contract Wife And Twins Chapter 36

CHAPTER 37

ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV

Sean and I were both amazed that Malachar had actually been able to make that Locket. But still knowing about what the Locket would do, that was the most important thing now, how it can be activated.

It is so confusing because werewolves and sorcerers are different. Why did he then give this to werewolves instead of his kind?

“Go on, Lincoln”, we will figure out the questions later, it's running late, and we need to be done with this book and start getting prepared to go get that Soul bound Locket.

I nodded and started reading from where I had stopped.

It said that Malachar was now stronger than before or than he ever was with his New Locket. He could manipulate different things, the mind, earth, and fire. He could manipulate memories, etc.

Likewise, he stayed in his little hiding space for months, getting ready for what he was about to accomplish. The funny thing was that all those months, he had not once heard of anyone looking for him.

The pain he felt had already turned into hate and anger anyway, so that did not matter to him again.

Malachar finally paid his family a visit. His family, only at first sight, started saying bad things to him, how he disappeared and was useless, belittling him again.

“You have not seen one of your own, your child, your brother for months and the first thing you can do when I walk in is this???!!” Malachar was very upset when he spoke and with the flick of his hand, he rendered them powerless.

Even though they tried to use their powers, it will hurt them first.

As a form of retribution, he altered their memory, reshaping their recollections of him. When he was done, his oppressive family members now remembered him not as the weak outcast they had mistreated but as a person worthy of forgiveness and reverence.

“That is more like it”, Malachar laughed out loudly like someone whose brain was messed up.

“His brain was actually messed up though!”, Sean said, and I agreed.

Then Malachar did what he had always wanted to do. He made them face the echoes of the suffering they had once inflicted on him. Which made them remember him again as the one they maltreated, he wanted them to remember once more and then enjoy the pain.

Everything he felt, he made them feel. They sometimes screamed when the pain was told much getting weak.

It was a lesson for them. Well, in the end he made them submit to him and soon in his town, word spread of Malachar's supremacy and power.

Whenever he entered the heart of the community, a hushed reverence would usually fall upon its inhabitants. They all bowed to him in submission.

Malachar was enjoying it all, the power, the control he now had. Soon he became their King, and in a year, he became their king. That hate, and anger he felt, turned him into something else and so as his power increased, his aim for more power increased.

Malachar would always say, Now how does it feel to be treated the way I do, Laughing and controlling anyone he comes across with.

The things he had done left a lasting legacy, but he did not manage it well, he got too deep into it that he did not realize, he was destroying himself in the process.

One day, as all these went down, he met someone, someone who had his heart even though it was the first time he was seeing her.

He was not sure who she was, but there was no stopping him from speaking to her and that's what he did.

Soon this lady became the only one that Malachar treated differently, with care, love, and respect. Everything was going so well between them until they had this argument where she tried to talk to him about what he was doing. Trying to advise him that he would get lost in these powers if he doesn't figure it out.

She wanted him to stop and do it for good or just go somewhere with her, that it did not have to be the way it was.

But Malachar became furious, just a single suggestion, he flamed up, saying that she was not on his side, although she tried explaining what she meant, he let his anger cloud his judgment, and so she decided to leave to give him some space, maybe he will change his mind.

Malachar had told her not to leave, but she did not listen and kept going, that was when he sparked. He did something he will never forgive himself for. He got into her head manipulatively.

She pleaded for forgiveness as her hands found a weapon, a knife that she had used to slit her throat, blood gushing out.

Before he could stop himself, it was already too late. She had dropped dead to the floor, her eyes wide open but dead.

Malachar was shattered by loss, guilt, and remorse. He did not mean to, he just got so angry. It's like the more power he had, the more he wanted, and it had taken the love of his life.

Malachar mourned her for a year, but no one saw him anymore and finally, he decided to do what she asked him to do her last wish. Maybe this Locket he made was not a blessing but a curse.

He tried destroying the Locket, but it was not working, he researched and researched, but he never found a way to destroy it, and so he decided to divide it.

If the two parts of the Locket are not together, then it won't work and that was when he had the idea.

He's kind would probably be the only one to be able to control such magic. Because the Locket will need to be activated with magic.

So he decided to leave it in the hands of two powerful werewolves.

That was how the Vincintore Family got one part and the Monteforte got the other.

And when it was done.

Malachar hanged himself!

After I finished reading this out loud, I sighed and closed the book. Even Sean rubbed his face.

I looked at him, thinking, and finally said, “We need a plan.”
