CHAPTER 40
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
As my blood touched the sigil, it triggered the astral unveiling. The box responded to the familial connection and its lid gracefully opened, revealing the gleaming half of the Soul bound Locket that rested within it.
It was exactly like the drawing in the book. Although more enchanting in real life.
I took the Locket and closed the box, "Let's go", I put the locket into a small bag for safety and held on to it.
We found the portal and went back. Montana stood up from where she was seated immediately, "You are back. How did it go? Were you able to find it?"
"Yes we were, now we have to go and get Victoria, whatever way we can, you stay at home," I said to her while Davina was closing the portal.
As soon as Davina was done, we all left the chamber.
"Wait, where exactly are we going?", I stopped in my tracks and looked at Sean for answers as he was the one who brought the package.
"I don't know, there was no address on the letter. When you read it?", Sean asked me back, and I shook my head.
“None”, I hummed and then pulled out my phone, "Hold on", I said to them and called Victoria's line.
And as expected, someone picked, not Victoria but a woman, "Alpha, what a pleasure. How's my hunt for my Locket going?"
I scoffed in my mind. Her Locket like she was the one who made it, "Give me sister the phone, I want to make sure she is alright."
"Of course", The woman said.
"Brother!", I heard Victoria call, but before I could say anything, the woman was back on the phone, "You heard her voice, now tell me, how is the hunt for my Locket going?."
"I have it, but I do not have a location", I said to her.
"You are smart enough to call this line. I was going to send you a text of the address anyway. I will do that now, do not do anything funny Alpha, I am a witch, a powerful one, just bring my Locket, get your sister, and leave, and everyone wins", As soon as she said all that, the line cut.
Immediately a text came in, "I have the address, Let's go", I informed the others, but I would be going only with Sean.
Sean and I went there alone. The place was secluded as expected, but looked a bit comfortable. I had a feeling that it was not a permanent place for her.
We went in, alert, of course. Reaching the door of the place, before we could even knock, it opened by itself.
Sean inspected the place first before we went in, "Do you know why I like you?", I heard a voice say, the same voice, but we could not see her or where she was speaking from, "I like you because you get the job done, even quickly."
"We have your Locket, okay? Now bring my sister out", I said calmly.
Elowen stepped out from her spot and now we could see her clearly and what she looked like. She looked like she was aging though, "Bring her", Elowen said as her men dragged my sister out.
"Brother", Victoria called out.
"Are you okay? You hurt?", I asked her while searching her body with my eyes.
"I am fine, just the cut on my arm," Victoria said, and it made me angry. Looking around, I noticed that there were only five of me here with the witch.
I used my werewolf hearing and could not hear anything else.
"Let her come to me and I will give you the Locket. You are a witch, obviously none of us can run out. Deal?", I asked Elowen, and she smiled.
"Good to know your limits, Alpha Lincoln", She gave the order with her hand and my sister was given to me.
I caught Victoria in my arms and hugged her. Her body shook a bit, but she was okay and the cut on her arm seemed to be healing just fine.
"My Locket", the witch said, and I brought it out from my pocket and gave it to her.
"Can we leave now?", I asked her.
But the witch had ignored us and brought out her other Alpha. She did have both. She put them together, but the funny fact is, it was not working.
"What?? What is this? Why is it not working", she said angrily.
"Maybe it does not work in your hands", Sean said, "maybe certain people can't use it, seeing as it was divided into half due to some reasons."
" Do I look like a fool to you Alpha Lucien?", Elowen inspected the other half I gave her, she threw it on the ground and crushed it, "The other half will never crush the way this fake half you gave to me just did. Do you have a death wish? How dare you try to deceive me??!!!", Elowen shouted angrily, and I could feel her powers emanating from her.
"Do not even think about it," Sean said as he blocked the witch's aim against us. She had used her powers and picked up a sharp object, directing it at us.
Elowen was taken aback, "How-."
"My name is Davina", Davina said with a smirk as she returned to her old self. Then with a flick of her finger, she waved it and Elowen hit the wall hard.
Her back was against the wall as Davina used her other hands and magic to hold Elowen's neck, suffocating her.
I, on the other hand, was well-prepared and quickly rushed to the men, easy for me. They had their asses down in no time.
I was already seeking people to crush, and they were the perfect candidates, I made sure to break every single bone in their body, snapping their neck and rendering them lifeless.
When I was done I watched how Davina handled Elowen well Elowen seemed to be muttering something none of us could understand, but Davina immediately snapped her neck, killing Elowen.
Elowen dropped to the floor, her body caught fire and turned to ashes.
Davina made sure to light the other bodies on fire, and we left after I took the other half of the Locket.
We got back home, and Montana and the real Sean were waiting for us. Montana, on seeing Victoria, both embraced themselves in a tight hug.
Everything was going so well and Montana and Victoria were in the dining room when I heard a scream.
