CHAPTER 46
MONTANA'S POV
Victoria started laughing as she came inside the kitchen after she almost gave me a heart attack, "Montana what has gotten over you, this is new", she chuckled.
I removed one of my AirPods to hear her properly, "Well I decided to make breakfast today."
"And sing and dance, looking all pretty and cute, huh?" Victoria gave me a suspicious smile.
I was not sure about things between me and Alpha Lincoln, so when I am sure, I will tell her everything that went down, but for now, it will be mine and Alpha Lincoln's little secret, "Oh please! Can't a girl have fun while cooking sometimes", I flipped my hair and winked at Victoria.
Finally, a real person to wink at.
"Alright alright", she raised her hand in surrender, "Is there anything I can help you with?", she offered, and I gladly accepted.
"Yes, please, just help me set the table, I am already done cooking just to arrange everything, then you can come to help me take the food out to the dining," I informed her.
"Yes Chef, on it," Victoria said while laughing softly.
ALPHA LINCOLN'S POV
I woke up refreshed, showered, put on something comfy as I did not have work today, and headed downstairs.
Today all I had planned was to move around the pack, check out how everything and everyone was doing, etc.
Downstairs I could perceive something very delicious, I took a sit at the dining table.
"Alpha your coffee," Montana said from behind me, my heart skipped a bit. She was so close, "Good Morning, Alpha Lincoln."
"Morning Montana," I said, not looking at her as she set the coffee on the table and I carried it.
I drank my coffee and to my greatest surprise, it was just the way I loved it, “Thank you”, I muttered
Victoria, on the other hand, came out, talking about how Montana was the only one who prepared the whole meal.
I had no idea how to react.
Well, breakfast was served, and the kids had showered on their own and gotten dressed, although my mum was with them.
So everyone was now seated on the dining table as Montana and Victoria served the food.
"Where are my workers?", I asked, still sipping my coffee.
"I gave them a morning break since I wanted to use the kitchen by myself. I hope that's okay," Montana answered politely, and I nodded.
"Yeah, it is okay. I will have someone call them back to clean up the kitchen," I said.
"Oh, don't worry, I have already done that. I gave them a time to be back, so they will be back then", she smiled and walked over to her seat.
That was when I was able to get a good look at her. No point lying, she looked beautiful, and she was glowing.
Was I glowing?
I looked down at my clothes.
Well, we started eating and breakfast was spectacular. Montana was indeed a good cook. I just feel like there are so many things that she could still surprise us, my family and I included.
Everyone complemented her as they ate, and she smiled all through.
Even the twins looked so proud of their mother.
"Um, Alpha Lincoln, do you have anything planned for today?", Montana asked me out of the blue.
"Not exactly, I will check around the pack and all that," I answered eating some pork, "why do you ask?"
"I was hoping we could step out today, maybe show me around or something like that," She said.
"That sounds like a lovely idea", Of course, my parents would love that, seeing as they love Montana like their own.
"Yeah people might start to ask questions because you both hardly hang out, so I agree that would be a good idea," Victoria added.
I admit what Victoria said was true but… I rolled my eyes in my mind, "Fine."
"Thank you Alpha", Montana smiled and went back to eating while I hummed.
"Zane, do not rush your food so you do not choke", My attention went to Zane who was rushing his food so much that he spilled some on himself.
"Sorry Dad, just Mummy's food is so delicious", He giggled while I handed him a wipe to wipe himself.
I had gotten used to them calling me Dad, I loved it.
I chuckled and ruffled his hair, "Still don't rush, the food is not going anywhere."
He nodded and continued eating happily.
Soon we were all done with breakfast and Victoria offered to spend some time with the kids, teach them lessons, and all that.
Yeah, Montana and I had agreed that they could take home lessons and some training. She was thrilled that her kids would be getting that, especially from the strongest pack in the world.
"Done?", I asked Montana while wiping my out clean.
She nodded, "Yes", and drank a glass of water, I'm ready."
"Alright, let's go", I got. So did she.
"Have fun!", My mum said.
"And Enjoy your time together", This was my dad talking.
Those two old couples will not concentrate on the food they are enjoying.
Montana and I moved around the pack. I could feel as though Montana was a bit of a shell, like she had a guard up while walking with me, "Relax, Montana," I said to her and only that startled her, to make what I was thinking right.
"Sorry", she muttered softly, "I just do not think anyone likes me you know, they are only doing all this because I'm walking with you."
"That is not true Montana, I'm sure they like you. Maybe a few do not, but a large majority do. The few is even tricky, just a tiny bit", I told her, "Plus when I came that day, the day when you fought with my warrior? Almost everyone had a worried look on their face for you."
MONTANA'S POV
I wanted to believe what he said about everyone and me in this pack, but it was so hard, too. I hardly interacted with anyone because of him and because I somehow ended up doing something wrong without thinking.
I wanted to believe him, but I guess we will see how it goes.
"Alright", I simply said, not wanting that to make me think.
So now we were both quiet, just taking a stroll, and so I wondered…
Should I ask him about us or not?
I turned to him and stopped him by reaching for his arm, "Alpha…."
