CHAPTER 83
MONTANA'S POV
As I shut the door, I rested my back on the door and took a deep breath. My heart still always skipped a bit when I am close to him.
I do not know what this man is doing to me, but I want to be free from this, it is better not to expect anything anymore.
It is so annoying how much I have worked to kill any lingering feeling and-
A knock came in!
I sighed and opened it, "Lincoln I thought we agreed-oh, Vicky."
She laughed and let herself in.
"Come in," I said, bowing and shaking my head, before shutting the door.
Victoria had her back against me, and immediately I jumped in her, hugging her tight. We giggled and fell down on the bed.
"I have missed you a lot," I told her while pouting as we hugged each other.
"Me too, you have no idea how worried I have been, we have been, even Lincoln…", she started.
But I stopped her, "Let us not talk about him please, I guess you know everything now, I would really like if we do not," I said softly.
Victoria nodded and pull my cheeks, "Well, fill me in on everything you have been up too, since you left."
And of course, I did, we spent all night gisting and talking. It was not time for me to reveal myself yet, so I did not say much about that part, but I had told her that I got some training and was excellent now.
We finally slept off together while cuddling. I really missed Victoria a lot, she had no idea how badly and how hard it was to stay away.
I knew it was hard too, and the pain in her eyes when we saw each other for the first time. I will make sure to make it up to her, even though I know she is not upset anymore.
I still want to spend lots of time with my best friend.
Victoria and I woke you very late the next morning. I did not even want to get up because I needed more sleep and so when Victoria woke up and woke me, I told her, and she let me sleep some more.
Even when breakfast was served, I skipped it while she went down to eat. I just wanted to sleep.
But I could not get any sleep anymore as I have been wakened up on two different occasions for two different things. So I just got into something comfy and went down to joined everyone else for breakfast.
I pecked Zane and Zendaya on their forehead. I was going to sit down at the same place I usually sat on the dining, but Victoria pushed me to go forward and sat there.
Where she had pushed me to sit was close to Lincoln. I was at his left-hand side as he was seated at the head of the table.
"Morning," I said to him and went on with eating.
"Morning, did you sleep well?", He asked, and I nodded, not wanting to form any conversation with him or even invite one.
After breakfast, I decided to take a stroll around the pack. I went alone, everyone else had something they were doing and right now, I am free, although not sure about that later.
I walked around, greeting people. It was certain that word had gone around that was I back. That was to be expected.
I decided to go over to the training section in the pack. See how they were doing, it has been a long time.
The last time I came here I was beaten to a pulp or close. I laughed at the thought.
I really did hope, I will not see that lady again. The one who did beat me to a pulp and mocked me, just wanting to disgrace me in front of everyone.
I went into the area and stood quietly, watching as they trained. How I was, was enough not to draw any attention to myself until someone did.
"Well, well, well", She turned and looked at me, clapping her hands, "The prodigal Luna returns."
Of course that same lady was here and of course she would do anything to insult me or humiliate me both indirectly and directly.
"Has your money finished? Is that why you are back?", She said coming closer to me as everyone had now focused their attention to us, "Come back to ask our Alpha for money and suck him dry, huh?"
Not today. I turned around to leave. Definitely not today.
"It is sad enough that he takes care of your bastard twins", I heard her say, but I noticed she did not say it directly to me but to the other two warriors who were with her, and they joined her in laughing too.
Absolutely today! I turned around and walked to her slowly, "What did you just say?"
She stared at me challenging, not blinking, wanting me to see that she was the boss of me, "You heard me. Or have you gone deaf?"
I laughed and looked away, wow!
The next turn I made to look at her was followed by a dirty and sounding slap on her face, "How about that slap disfigures that mouth and face of yours. Huh? Rearrange it a bit."
Immediately she attacked me, wanting to punch me in the first, but I caught her fist in my hands, squeezing it tightly. The shock on her face was priceless, "You were just lucky the first time. This time, I will teach you respect."
I squeezed her fist more, bending her wrist to an angle that was not comfortable at all and very painful as she winced in pain, "The next time you raise your hand at me, I assure you, you will never make use of that hand again."
That was my warning to her as I released her fist by pushing her away harshly. Rubbish!
"What is going on here?", A voice said, Lincoln's voice.
I smiled and turned to him, "Just fixing some attitude and ah, you want to see me, right?"
Of course, he was not a fool to know what had happened just by looking at the whole scene, "Yes I do", he responded.
We had a talk, and it ended with Lincoln getting very close to me in a way that my heart raced a million miles and whispered in my ear,
"You can go on your little date with Finn but know this, you are mine, you will always be. And I will make sure of that!"
