Veronica was speechless, but seeing Ava's severity, she didn't try to resist the idea that Veron would do the right thing. She was giving him the benefit of the doubt, but that didn't mean that she would trust him like she trusted her sister.
"I distinguished that he might use you to fight with Alpha Jaxon since he already knows that you are Alpha Jaxon's mate. There's nothing special with us; we are only ordinary, so what makes him do everything to help you?" Ava didn't want to stop, which made her mind almost want to explode. She disliked the idea that Ava was right.
She was in denial.
"If he asks you to go out with him even though he already knows that you have plans to have your revenge, it means he already knows that Alpha Jaxon is serious about having you back. It's a competition, Alpha. Since his whole life, it's been Jaxon who has been suitable for everything. He's thinking that the competition started when he asked you to be his date."
She gasped. She didn't want to think that way because there was a part of her that didn't like the idea that Veron was only using her. She bit her lips and clenched her teeth in irritation.
"I don't think that he's having a competition with Jaxon. I'm nobody in Jaxon's life." She tasted the bitterness on her tongue. She swallowed and looked away when she caught Ava arching her brow at her.
"Did you know that having a mate made someone stronger but had a weakness at the same time? Did you think that you didn't have any use when he used you against Alpha Jaxon?" Ava asked.
"I'm only nothing." She whispered and pursed her lips when it were trembling. She closed her eyes and licked her lips before she continued, "I don't have any special position in his heart. Helene is the woman he loves, Ava. I don't think that Veron will use me to hurt him."
"Are you telling me that he can fuck with his sister if he truly uses you?" Ava was being sarcastic, that made her frown. She disliked that her sister was being vulgar. She pouted her lips and walked slowly away from Ava.
She was distressed whenever she heard what Ava might be thinking, but she needed to understand. Her relationship with Ava turned smooth after she met Alpha Jaxon.
"Are you mad at me because I'm telling you those words? I'm only thinking about you, our pack.." Ava didn't have a plan to stop, that made her stop walking. She sighed.
"Ava, I understand. I know you're only telling me what you think is good for us. I will make sure that I find out if he's only using me."
"Did he ask you to have a date? I know he sees you with Alpha Jaxon. There's a chance that he feels that he competes, and you're the trophy!"
"Yes, he asked. However, I already declined his invitation because I knew it wasn't a good idea. Aside from that, we need to find Morgan, right?"
"Okay, I already have some leads about Morgan. There's a possibility that the Alpha King has him. Please do what you think is the easiest way to get him."
Her eyes widened in bewilderment. She didn't know what she was going to say after she discovered that it was the Alpha King who took Morgan.
Her hands trembled violently, and she felt how her chest clenched in so much anger. She wouldn't forgive the Alpha King if something terrible happened to her son.
"Are you sure about that? I know that you're investigating these, but why do you only say the outcomes of the investigation?" She tried to hide her resentment because of the Alpha King.
"I didn't tell you because I know that you might be reckless by coming back here. That's what we guessed for now; we're still looking for where he puts Morgan. He has a lot of properties, if you know that, and we can't investigate those things too fast. It's too risky." Ava whispered and grabbed her hand to discuss it inside their pack house.
"I want to know everything that you find out."
"It's a long story. Someone sees his Beta carrying Morgan. I don't know if it's true, and I learned that Alpha Jaxon is investigating it secretly."
She hardly groaned when she heard Ava mention Jaxon once again. She couldn't understand why Jaxon had been looking for Morgan. Does he think that she would give Morgan to him once he had to find him?
Until she went to her bedroom, her mind was active, and she kept thinking about what she might do with Jaxon. She bit her lips when she remembered their intimacy with each other, and that made her feel how the heat rose in her body.

"It seems Alpha Ava didn't like you for her sister. She's a pain in the ass; it's better if you remove her. She's a stumbling block for your achievement."
"I don't care about her. What is essential for me is only Veronica. She's the woman I needed. I want to have this potion again once I finally have time to stay with her. She will surrender herself willfully to be with me."
"You are so full of yourself, Veron. Did you think that she's too stupid not to see your intention?"
"I want to see if she's already intelligent now. It's not my fault if she quickly believes what I always told her."
Jaxon gnashed his teeth, and he didn't even inform the Alpha King that he would leave. He shifted into his werewolf form and ran fast to Veronica's pack.
He wanted to make sure that Veronica would be okay. It took him fifteen minutes before he finally reached the borders of Veronica's pack.
Veronica crawled as her wolf kept howling in pain. She didn't know what she was supposed to do.
