"Ava, you should stop talking about them. Did you even see that Alpha Jaxon isn't in his good mood now?" James said while Ava kept talking about Uriel and Veronica when they were children. Ava's eyes flickered several times. She was confused about why Jaxon would react that way, especially since Uriel was his beta.
"He doesn't need to get mad at him. Uriel is our friend, and Veronica is still not marked yet. There's a possibility that they might choose each other like they always did when we were kids." Ava smirked. She finally exposed that she was intentionally spitting on those events while she was with Alpha Jaxon.
"I'm sorry, Alpha Jaxon, if I hit the nerves on you. I intentionally did those things to make you feel better." Ava pursed her lips. She crossed her arms when Jaxon growled in anger because of her. She was pleased to witness how Jaxon had been glaring at her as if he wanted to choke her.
Since Jaxon had been trying to be with Veronica, she would make sure he would regret even the tiniest bad things he had ever done to her sister.
However, he was surprised that Uriel was working with Jaxon. She didn't see him around, which made her think that Uriel might move away to ensure their family wouldn't locate them.
"What's the matter with Uriel? Is there something wrong that they have done to get them kicked out of your pack?" James was curious. He wanted to know more about Uriel because he seemed familiar.
"They got kicked out of our pack because we found out that they were traitors in this pack. I didn't know what the actual reason was aside from that. He was too young at that time, and his father died, based on what I recalled."
Jaxon frowned. He was confused when Ava mentioned that Uriel's father had died because he was sure that he was alive at that time. He only died when he got older and got killed in their pack.
"What's the reason that he died?" he asked. He wanted to make sure that Ava was talking about the sudden attack in their pack.
Ava shrugged and tried to think about the reason behind Uriel's father's death. She could still remember how Veronica cried that day.

His father is missing, but we discover he's been working under the Alpha king. That's why we concluded that they are traitors. You know that our family didn't have a good relationship with the Alpha King then."
Ava's turned pale. She remembered that when she saw the Beta of the Alpha King, he was so familiar that she had seen him somewhere.
She gasped. It was a questionable idea that Morgan was taken away while Uriel was in their pack. Veronica informed her that it was Uriel who had always taken care of Morgan.
Her nephew even wished that he had a father like him. She swallowed hard when she realized that Uriel was the key to getting Morgan back.
"Alpha Jaxon, didn't you even think that it was Uriel who kidnapped your son?" James asked with curiosity. Jaxon was stunned, and he tried to hide what he might be thinking at that time.
"He's the one who's investigating everything, but I asked someone to analyze how he got kidnapped to make sure that no one might betray me," Jaxon replied. He didn't want them to know why he did those things. He only wanted to get some proof to prove his claim that Uriel was the one who betrayed his pack.
He heard some of the guards mention that Uriel wasn’t in his pack when Morgan got taken away from them. They didn’t even know where he was, but when he came back, there was something strange about him.
"It means you are suspecting that he’s one of the culprits. You did the right because I realize why he’s too familiar with me. He’s the son of the Beta of the Alpha King!" James exclaimed, that made Ava and Jaxon stunned for a moment. They both didn’t know why James had known the Beta of the Alpha King.
"My family is close with the Alpha King. It doesn’t mean that I will betray you all. We are only connected with them because my mother was a friend of Luna at the time. We were with them when Helene got kidnapped, too. We are one of those packs that tried to help them." James explained when he noticed that Ava had been staring at him weirdly. He hardly sighed when Ava nodded her head as if she were telling him to continue what he was about to say.
"When the Luna died, we stopped communicating with them because the Alpha King changed. We didn’t like being connected with their family. I had known Veron; he’s the one who suggested me to Veronica. I met Uriel several times at the private party with the Alpha King. He’s with his father, and they both seemed serious. They are fighting, but Uriel left the party. He was upset." He added.
Ava hardly breathed. She couldn’t believe that Uriel was part of the investigation that she needed to fix. He was her friend, and he even acted like her brother.
"We need to know the truth. There are two reasons why Uriel is the suspect. He might be the key to our investigation or a suspect in the case of the one who kidnapped Morgan. It’s better if we act like we still don’t know the truth." Ava suggested.
Jaxon agreed with her. He didn’t want Uriel to know that he was trying to investigate him. There was a possibility that Uriel might try everything to escape his grasp. It was better that his prayer was still in his territory.
"I will do anything to make him stay in my pack. Ava, is it okay if you ask someone to investigate his father to make sure that no one will ever think that I’m trying to reopen the case?" Jaxon uttered, and Ava only nodded. Ava didn’t think that it was weird if she was with Jaxon when she investigated. She only wanted to know what happened to Morgan.

"Uriel, you are late. I’ve been waiting for you here in our bed," Helene mumbled when Uriel came to the private house that she had. She locked herself in her robe and grinned when Uriel sighed heavily. He seemed stressed, which made her excited even more.
Uriel had a weird habit, and that was that he always expressed his frustration to her whenever they had sex. Uriel was more manly whenever he was too ruthless with her. She liked his side, even though she risked everything.
"I’m sorry. I’m working late, and I thought that you would not come back here. Are you scared that your father might find out about what you’re doing, Helene?" he asked, worried.
Helene gasped. She still couldn’t believe that she had dared to disobey her father for the sake of Uriel. She was happy whenever she was with him, and she thought and wished that it would be Uriel who would end up with her in the end.
She was hurt that Jaxon had always chosen Veronica over her. It was her pride that he always stepped on, and as the Alpha King’s daughter, it was a great slap to her. She pursed her lips and chuckled.
"It’s fine. I’m not even waiting for an hour here. I didn’t even know that you would come here, especially since you have a room in Jaxon’s pack." she mumbled something that made Uriel chuckle coldly.
"Yes, I have a room in his pack. I still wanted to have privacy, Helene. I don’t think that I can have it once someone invades my room and tells me that there is something wrong in the pack. I’m so done with it."
"Oh, Uriel!" She felt bad for him. They were both unfortunate to have had a useless father who always used them for his own gain. It seemed they only conceived a child to use them once they grew up.
She rushed in his direction and massaged his shoulders while there was a seductive smirk on her lips. She wanted to enjoy her day with Uriel, and she was sure that Uriel felt the same way. She closed her eyes when Uriel groaned because of her touch.
