She was flabbergasted when Jaxon pulled him away in her bedroom. Everything was unusual for her. She wasn’t sure that Jaxon wanted her to sleep with her in one bed. Then what made her more surprised, it was his bed!
Jaxon seemed excited that he didn’t even let her protest. He was happy, and acting like a child. She doesn’t have a choice but to follow him. She doesn’t like to ruin his mood but what made her unhappy was she wished that Morgan would see that she was having a good time with Jaxon.
Since she stayed in Jaxon’s pack, all Morgan had witnessed was her suffering. She wanted him to see that his father could do better for her. After all, Jaxon was the father of Morgan, and he was the role model in his eyes.
“Do you want to sleep or….”
She frowned. She felt disappointed. She hoped that Jacon would think about having sex with her while they were in the same room. She was such a dumb woman for thinking that Jaxon might forget his libido.
Her lips were in a thin line. She doesn’t like what she was thinking. She hoped that she was wrong because she was still giving him the benefit of the doubt. She pursed her lips, and tried to control her temper. She doesn’t like to outburst her anger.
“Why do you look mad?” Jaxon asked, which made her go back to her senses. She forgot that Jaxon was talking to her because she was preoccupied.
“What are you saying?” she asked.
Jaxon looked away and he massaged his nape. He seemed embarrassed about the unknown things. He cleared his throat before he finally said, “Well, I’m asking you if you want to talk with me until we finally feel sleepy. I know it seems mushy but I want us to fully know each other. What is your favorite color? When do we meet? Did we date? Some of those questions..”
Veronica didn’t know what she was going to say. She felt bad that she was thinking something bad about what Jaxon wanted to do with her. She was guilty of accusing him for the things that he didn’t even want to do.
“If you didn’t like it, it’s fine with me. I know how busy you are, and you seem exhausted from taking care of me.” Jaxon whispered. He pouted his mouth like a child before he proceeded from walking towards their bed. He seemed disappointed that made her more guilty.
“It’s fine with me. I’m still not yet sleepy and I want to have a talk with you. Seriously, we don’t even know each other anymore. Aside from that you like to eat the ice cream that I always prepared for you. You are one of the powerful Alpha that I know, you are more respectable..” She whispered. She didn’t like Jaxon to know that he was such a heartless Alpha when he was with her.
“I heard that I’m cruel.” Jaxon finally decided to be honest with her.
Veronica was stunned. She doesn’t know what she must say to him to make him feel better. However, she didn’t like to lie just to make Jaxon feel better.
“Yes, you are.” she finally admitted.
“Okay, I truly understand why you didn’t want to get married to me. It’s because I’m heartless, and you didn’t want me to be with you.” Jaxon seemed upset that he even went to bed, and took the sheet to cover his body. Veronicca groaned. She didn’t even know that being honest made Jaxon feel upset.
“That’s not it!” she exclaimed. She cleared her throat, and went closer to Jaxon. He was heartbroken, and she felt that she was heartless for not thinking about what he might feel.
“You didn’t like it. It’s always Helene who you love the most. Maybe, you forget her today but once you find her, you will still fall in love with her.” she muttered.
“Veronica, you don’t even know what my heart says. It’s me who knows it.” He was getting more upset.
“I am only telling you the truth. Jaxon, she’s the one that you always love.” She repeated that and made him remove the sheet from the covering and hugged Veronica tightly. She gasped when their body bumped.
“I don’t want to love if it’s not you…” Jaxon whispered, before he pulled her closer to him. He locked Veronica from his hug, and closed his eyes. What made Veronica more surprised that they didn’t even do some more. Jaxon fell asleep while he was hugging her and that made her have a good sleep too.
When she woke up, Jaxon wasn’t beside her anymore. She was unhappy that she left his room, and went towards the first floor to see Helene was with Jaxon. Helene was smirking, and she kept touching Jaxon shoulders but Jaxon seemed upset, and kept pushing her away.
“Go away from me!” Jaxon whines. He was irritated that he couldn’t stop from pushing Helene too hard that led her to fall on the floor.
“Jaxon!” She screamed his name that made Jaxon’s face turn happy. He quickly went towards her, and embraced her. Uriel was stunned when he saw Veronica standing in their pack.
“Finally, you are awake. I’m planning to exercise when this woman keeps saying that she’s my girlfriend!” Jaxon exclaimed that Veronica arched her brow at Helene.
“Helene, you are still desperate. Did you forget that you cried because you found me having sex with Jaxon? Did you already move on fast?” she twitched her lips, and grinned. She held Jaxon's hand that made Jaxon’s mouth parted in surprise.
Jaxon was flabbergasted but he didn’t say anything and let Veronica do what she wanted. He was secretly supporting Veronica from defending him.
“Veronica, we both know that Jaxon loves me. You are only his mate but he still ends up with me.” Jaxom smirked, which made Veronica’s face blank.
“Did you think so? He forgot about you but it seems his heart didn’t even know you? Why don’t you spread your legs so he will fuck you while I’m still here? That’s what you always do, right?”
