Helene gasped because of her vulgarity. Her eyes became fierce, which made her laugh. Seeing Helene being dumbfounded because of what she had said made her think that she was such a joke.
Helene smirked, but her eyes were full of anger towards her. She crossed her arms and tried to hide her resentment towards her.
“Veronica, did you think that you are good enough? Aren't you ashamed that you are here after he cheated on you? I'm the one that he loves, but you are always trying to ruin our relationship.” Helene forced herself to smile, especially when Jaxon seemed starstruck because of what she had said. She pursed her lips and chuckled before she held Jaxon's arms again. She clung to him.
“Jaxon, did you hear what I have said? You cheated on her multiple times, but she's too desperate to get your attention. I'm the one you truly love, and she's only a whore in your eyes..” She whispered, which led Jaxon to groan before he aggressively pushed him.
Jaxon was agitated. He quickly rushed towards Veronica, but there was a trace of sadness in his eyes. He was scared. That was what he was sure.
“I can't believe that you dare to be proud that you are such a wrecker. Helene, you are the Alpha King's daughter, but continue acting like you are one of the rogues.” Veronica's mount twitched before her eyes flickered in anger. She disliked Helene so much that she wanted to pull her hair.
“Is that the result of being the exclusive slut of the Alphas who will sign an agreement with your Alpha? I can't believe you will let your father use your body so he can have an ally.”
Helene was stunned when she heard what Veronica said. She was confused. Everything was confidential, and his father promised her that. She gritted her teeth before she spoke, “What are you talking about? Are you slandering my name? Veronica, you are so stupid. If you are accusing me of being a slut then you must have proof that I am a slut? Well, you are known as slut because the pack members think that you don't deserve him. He's too powerful.“
“You don't deserve him either. Your father seems so desperate to get him that he even asks you to spread your legs.” Veronica chuckled before she encircled her arms on Jaxon's nape. Her eyes were focused on him, which made him have difficulty looking at him.
She caressed Jaxon's hair, and he already gasped and swallowed in nervousness.
”Jaxon, I don't like it when you are with her. She's not as innocent as you think she is. I think you should avoid him. She's a leech, and she likes someone who is powerful. I want you to know that her father is your greatest rival.”
Jaxon was listening to what Veronica had been saying carefully before he nodded. He glared at Helene before he shouted, “Uriel, kick her out of my pack. I don't want to see someone like her trespassing my pack!”
Helene was surprised. She didn't even predict that Jaxon would easily believe Veronica than her. Uriel avoided his gaze and asked the troops to kick Helene out of the pack.
“Jaxon, this is only a misunderstanding. I can't believe that you easily believe her. She's a bitch! We have a relationship after you---”
“Shut up. Veronica is my mate, I'm sure of it. My heart says that she's too important to me. But when I looked at you, I was truly mad at you for an unknown reason.” Jaxon said.
“It's because you still have feelings for me. Jaxon, there's a thin line between love and anger. You are mad at me because I chose my family when you asked me to elope with you!”
“No, what you are saying is only not essential reason. I don't think that I will love someone like you. I don't like a woman who is too cunning. Kick her out now!”
“Jaxon!” Helene tried to struggle from the guard's hold, but she failed. She was forced to leave the pack even though she wanted to stay.
“Jaxon!”
Jaxon didn't seem affected but wrapped his hands around Veronica's waist. He could do everything for Veronica so she could trust him again.
Veronica flashed a grin on her lips before she commented, “What will you do if I'm only lying to you? Will you be mad at me?”
Jaxon was speechless. He couldn't believe that Veronica was only trying to test him. He pouted and placed his head on her neck. He sniffed her.
“I don't think that you are lying. It's my heart who is telling me what I need to do. My heart believes in you, Veronica.”
“I'm only lying.”
“No, I don't think so. Let's have a breakfast.” He whispered while he began kissing her neck.
“Aren't you affected that I'm such a slut?”
“Why would I? Helene mentioned that you are my exclusive woman, which means I'm the only one for you!”
Veronica didn't know what to say and glanced at Uriel, who was watching her from a distance.
She forced herself to smile and tried to act naturally. She didn't want Uriel to notice that there was something strange that changed their relationship.
“Uriel, I'm happy to see you!” She rushed towards Uriel and hugged him. Jaxon's nostrils almost smoked in anger. He was severely jealous that Veronica was hugging another man before him.
“Veronica!” He called her name angrily. He followed Veronica and pulled her away from Uriel.
His blood was boiling because of his beta. He couldn't understand how Uriel was his Beta, especially since he had been staring at Veronica with love and compassion.
“Jaxon, what are you doing? He's your Beta.” Veronica sounded agitated, but she truly enjoyed how Jaxon acted whenever she was closer to another man.
