Covet Me, My Heartless Alpha Chapter 55

Morgan didn’t even flinch after Jaxon informed Uriel about the punishment that Morgan might face. Morgan gave Jaxon an emotionless expression so he would see that he wasn’t affected by his decision.

"Did you hear what I said to Uriel? You are not allowed to eat for two days. I want you to reflect on every sin you committed against me." Jaxon clenched his teeth. He was trying to stop himself from feeling how affected he was, especially when Morgan gave him a nasty look. Morgan was his flesh. He was his son, but why does Morgan act as if he is more powerful than him?

Morgan shrugged and acted like he didn't even care what his father had told him. He hated Jaxon so much for not treating his mother like a treasure. Morgan loved Veronica so much. He wanted to do everything to make Veronica escape his father's pack, but how? He was only a child and didn't have the power to complain to his father since he was known as the Alpha of their pack.

"Take him away from this hospital. I don't want him to see him now." Jaxon ordered Uriel, which gave Uriel no choice but to obey the Alpha, wildly when Jaxon growled as if warning him to do what he wanted.

Morgan closed his eyes. He was hurt, but he didn't want Jaxon to see the satisfaction that he wanted to see in him. He wished he had another father, or he might as well have chosen a better man.

"Prince Morgan. Let's go." Uriel mumbled. He was hurt by how Jaxon treated his son. Aside from that, Morgan was the son of Veronica, so he had a lot of concerns about him, too.

Uriel felt sorry that Morgan had been experiencing this kind of punishment even though he was a child. It looked like Jaxon wasn't scared that he might create a monster in Morgan's body.

Before Morgan walked closer to Uriel, he glanced at Veronica. His tiny heart was aching, which made him unable to breathe correctly. Morgan gave Jaxon a simple look before he uttered, "I wish... you are not my father. You are a selfish, egotistic bastard. I'm ashamed to be called your son."

Morgan didn't look back, but tears came out of his small eyes when Uriel dragged him out of the hospital. The sobbing that he was trying to stop came out, which made him almost unable to breathe correctly.

Uriel took a deep breath before he took the bottle of water that he had. "Drink a lot. You need to look presentable when your mother wakes up. I will give you something to eat, so you will still be strong after two days. Morgan, don't tell this to your father."

Uriel mumbled before he hugged Morgan tightly. Uriel pitied Morgan even more. He felt how Morgan tried to stop his cries to make Jaxon see that he was strong enough and not too easy to break.

Jaxon was stunned when he heard what Morgan had told him. He was dumbfounded when Morgan dared to treat him that way.

Jaxon didn't even know that his son was mad at him. Jaxon felt that he had done the right thing, but slowly he regretted what he had done to his son. Morgan was his! He loved him even though Morgan thought that he might not love him.

Whenever he was on the battlefield, all he thought about was the happy face of Morgan, who would greet him in the end. He was excited to see Veronica, too. Jaxon always remembered how Veronica gave him happy family vibes. After everything he had experienced, only Veronica made him feel complete with a family.

"What do I have this time, Veronica? Why do I feel guilty that I treated Morgan like this? Why did he say those words as if I didn't need to feel hurt? I loved Morgan." Jaxon kneeled on the floor and began weeping like a child.

When was the last time he cried? When was the last time he felt that calling wasn't a sin to commit?

"I'm sorry for being a bad father to Morgan." Jaxon stopped when he hoarsely spoke those words. He took a deep breath as his tears flowed down his face.

"Wake up, Veronica. I'm scared that Morgan will be like me once you wake up. I didn't even know how to make him feel I loved him. I don't know what to do next once you leave us." Jaxon added.

Jaxon was busy crying like a child when Veronica's finger jerked.

A tear came out of Veronica's eyes. She couldn't even move her eyes to open. She tried, but her body didn't even let her do it. Veronica didn't know that Jaxon knew how to cry. She was hoping that there would be a miracle when her finger jerked.

Veronica didn't know that Jaxon knew how to cry. She was hoping that there would be a miracle. Veronica was in such deep sorrow that she wanted to grieve.

Morgan... it was only Morgan that she thought. Her child was breaking, and Jaxon did those things to their son. Veronica felt a sudden urge in her body. She felt the heat that was about to come out. What was happening?

The heat was growing until Veronica felt her bones cracking.

"Ahhh!" Veronica heard a loud scream from her head. She didn't know what was happening, but what made her notice it was the pain that she felt that night. When Veronica opened her eyes, Veronica noticed how clear her vision was. She was shocked when she saw that she wasn't in the hospital.

"Veronica!!" Jaxon screamed her name, making her return to her human form. Veronica was speechless. She had a wolf; she wasn't wolfless like other people thought about her.

Veronica turned around, and when her sight locked on Jaxon, They felt the mate bond surge them to unite.

"Mine!" Jaxon growled.
