As Meggie had expected, this was a battle of attrition, the dead spirits around her were not too strong.
However they were numerous, Meggie didn’t used her magic to attack them but no matter how many times she did they just came back.
’ This is pointless, I need to either find the Bloody Mary or break out of this semi-divine realm.’
She gritted her teeth so hard she felt like they would break. Meggie didn’t have an infinite amount of esper.
So she stopped attacking and focused on defending, she infused lightning on top of the solar energy.
Her lightning elemental magic was significantly more powerful than her solar magic.
So the strength of her barrier grew significantly stronger than before, the ghosts crumbled upon touching it.
This significantly slowed down the expenditure of her esper but it wasn’t a permanent solution.
Meggie took out multiple things out of thin air, she started drawing a magic circle on the ground.
The speed at which she was doing it was extremely slow, her hand was shaking as if th chalk was heavy.
This magic circle was part of a ritual magic of the conjuration magic, the creature she was trying to summon was beyond her current power.
She made the contract with it when she was at the peak of her power. However she couldn’t summon it now, not without a sacrifice.
’ And I had just increased my lifespan after that ritual, what should I give this time?’ normally her price would be just esper.
However that was under the condition of being on the same level as the contracted outer being.
She was not at its level right now so she had to pay a steeper price. Instead of her self she searched amongst her possessions.
She found a black egg half her own size, the egg had red spots all over it. She hesitated for some time.
This egg belonged to one of the ancient races even older than races like Shaggathan and Shalaxin.
It was an egg of a Void Toad, a creature with natural attunement to the space element and a stomach that can digest anything.
These things were so powerful even Dragons and Phoenix of old made sure to avoid them.
According to legends, they died because food eventually ran out, they consumed so much of the world nothing was left.
So they ate each other to extinction, she wanted to give it to Adrian to raise as a pet, something like this would’ve been a huge help to him.
Especially when it comes to escaping from enemies, its attunement to the space element made it hard to catch.
Meggie continued drawing the magic circle and when she was done she placed the egg at its centre.
Then she placed the other material for the ritual and started chanting. A space rift appeared above her.
The entire semi-divine realm shook and a hand crawled out of the space rift. The hand was glowing purple.
A wave of destruction energy spread out with its presence destroying all the dead spirits around her.
Slowly, more and more of the creature crawled out until its entire body was standing before her.
It was a massive fifty metres tall giant with four hands, its head had a large mouth that stretched from one end to the other.
It had no nose, ears or eyes. The giant roared as soon as it appeared and the fog around it was pushed away.
’ Okay, now get me out of here.’ the giant looked down at her then at the semi-divine realm.
It grabbed the air on both of its sides as if it was fabric and pulled. The air shifted and wrinkled.
The entire semi-divine divine realm shook like there was an earthquake. The fog surged and gathered together.
It formed a humanoid female standing nearly four hundred meters tall, floating above her head was the Bloody Mary.
As soon as Meggie saw her she was attacked. Two rings on her fingers broke and scattered into particles of light.
Suddenly a giant iron spike appeared directly above the Bloody Mary, before she could react it descended.
It pierced through her body, upon closer look the iron spike had white particles all over it, this was natural pure salt.
The Bloody Mary looked hurt but instead of screaming her eyes turned cold. She pointed her finger at Meggie.
The giant woman made of fog attached, its hand stretched out towards Meggie, she looked slow but she was anything but.
Meggie’s own giant responded with a punch, two of its hands let go of the air and punched the hand in succession.
Boom boom boom boom, dozens of punches collided with the giant hand of fog reaching a stalemate.
The shockwaves spread out ripping the ground of the semi-divine realm apart but it healed a moment later.
Meggie frowned, it was obvious her own giant was weaker which she supposed made sense.
She was in the Bloody Mary’s semi-divine realm, her own power was severely limited in here.
However Meggie wasn’t fighting to win, she knew that was impossible, she was fighting to survive and escape.
The woman attacked again, her palm created giant gales of freezing cold winds that pierced down to her bones.
Meggie found herself shivering but no matter how much fire she created with her elemental magic it didn’t help.
The giant creature she summoned was no help either, it was only a brute, amongst her level 9 summons, it was the weakest.
However that also meant it was the only one she could summon at her current power, she grinded her teeth in frustration.
’ Stupid demon, if I still had my power, I could’ve easily felt with a Mary vessel even if it had become a demigod.’
She thought to herself in frustration, Meggie had tried using teleportation magic even though she knew that was futile but she was desperate.
Her giant continued pulling on the space around them. The cold winds around pierced deeper into her body.
Her skin cracked but barely any blood came out, it took had been frozen by the extremely cold winds.
The worst part was that, the winds weren’t just cold, their coldness came as a result of the death aura.
This made them more pervasive and harder to block out, fire alone could barely do anything.
Lightning worked better but it was not enough here and her sunlight magic was too weak.
Still, as little effective as they are, they were the only reason she was still alive. Rip, suddenly she heard the sound of ripping cloth.
A tiny spatial rift appeared, she didn’t waste a moment and jump through leaving the semi-divine realm then immediately used teleportation magic.
