Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf Chapter 227

Vincent cleaned Sane’s body then sat next to it waiting. He watched as more people died in this town.

Those who weren’t killed by fate transfer were directly murdered by Bloody Mary’s spirit guards.

For normal humans, the spirit guards were monsters impossible to deal with, Vincent still had no idea how Mary chooses who to kill.

He surrounded their room with salt and iron bars he ripped out of windows.

-----------------------------------

Back at base, Adrian received the voice transmission from Vincent three days after it was sent.

Immediately he and Annie left, going from the realm beyond the mist to the human world was easy.

You could either use a spell that opens the wall of mist or find the anchor points connecting the two realms.

Unfortunately they didn’t know that spell, even Annie who can use occult magic didn’t know it.

Fortunately though, anchor points were everywhere and not very hard to find but they were mostly guarded.

This was to prevent Gadra from passing through to the human world. Before leaving he called Meggie.

She had given him a way to contact her, he told her everything before they went through the wall.

It didn’t take them long to reach the coordinates Vincent had sent them. They floated kilometres in the sky looking down.

Below them was a dome of mist, it was faint yet they still couldn’t see through it but they could feel it.

Inside that mist was a terrifying power. Adrian sent a voice transmission to Vincent, due to the distant, it reached him in seconds.

Unfortunately Vincent wasn’t powerful enough to pierce through the mist that quickly even though Adrian was so close.

So Adrian had to wait for hours before he received a reply, he sighed, " It seems his partner has fallen, I’ll go down there to check things out."

" I’ll come with you." Annie suggested but Adrian shook his head.

" No, I’ll go alone." He closed his eyes for a few seconds, when he opened them they were as cold as ice.

" I really think I should come with you, we have a better chance together." Annie tried to argue.

He gave her a cold emotionless glance, " You’re too empathic, you’ll just be a burden to me." He answered coldly.

Annie felt a pang in her heart then shook her head, she knew what he had done and agreed with it but hearing those words didn’t hurt any less.

Unfortunately she didn’t have that ability to lock her emotions in a cage and turn herself into a robotic human.

She watched as Adrian dropped towards the town surrounded by mist, as soon as Adrian entered the mist he was attacked.

A spear pierced through the air heading for his heart. It was too fast, so fast he barely had a chance to react.

Fortunately he didn’t need to dodge, he saw the spear shooting at him like lightning and teleported.

He appeared inside Vincent’s room and looked at him coldly then at the woman lying on the bed.

" Useless." He whispered but Vincent caught that, he was surprised for a moment then saw his eyes and understood.

While his boss wasn’t exactly a kind man he cared about the pack, he wouldn’t call one of them useless for dying to the Bloody Mary.

" Boss." He stood up and greeted him. Adrian didn’t respond, he walked towards the werewolf on the bed.

Then touched her neck, " She’s still alive it seems." He whispered softly then walked towards the window and looked out.

Outside he saw hundreds of ghosts dressed like an ancient military force carrying spears and swords.

Some carried bows, they looked like a proper army but their presence created a layer of frost over the entire building.

Seeing them he felt nothing, even when he felt their overwhelming power equaling level 8 Gadra he felt nothing.

It wasn’t long before Adrian started seeing the visions of a ghosts, the Bloody Mary was using her ability on him.

Unfortunately in his current state he wouldn’t bat an eye if the person he loved the most died, let alone a stranger.

Adrian functioned by the logic and knowledge of former emotions. He knew he should care about these Werewolves.

That’s why he was here to begin with or he would’ve just stayed out of this town, why bother himself with something so troublesome?

" Bring it." He walked out and Vincent followed carrying the body of Sane on his shoulder.

Adrian grabbed Vincent’s shoulder and was about to teleport out when something appeared in front of him.

A familiar face looking as pale as snow with long pure white hair cascading like a waterfall behind her.

She was barefooted wearing a pure white dress that reached her ankles, on its tips the dress flowed like mist giving it an ethereal feeling.

" Are you Eve or Mary?" He asked fatly.

The woman smiled, " Would it matter? Would that change your feelings?" She asked.

" No." He answered flatly. She walked towards him with graceful steps as if she was floating.

Her eyes were covered by a white cloth with tears of blood flowing down her cheeks but he felt as if she could see through him.

She reached out, he tried to teleport but her hand was already on his chest. It happened so fast it felt instant.

" So many sins, so many lies, you deserve to die so the world can be cleansed of your sins and lies, unfortunately your heart is too precious for me to touch."

Her words sounded sad as if not being able to kill him truly saddened her. " What do you mean my heart is precious?" He asked.

" It’s not my place to answer your question oh sinful child but you will know when it’s time to know."

She raised her head looking at him through the cloth covering her bleeding eyes. " While I cannot touch you, I cannot let him go.

His sins, they’re like a flame blazing to the sky, as a vast as a sea of blood, even greater than your own by far, I cannot let him stain this beautiful world with his presence any longer."

" I see, is that why you didn’t resurrect those whose fate you transferred, they were sinners too?" He tried to get information out of her.

" Yes, all of them were liers, why are there so many liers? They did not deserve to walk upon this earth once more."

He nodded, " I see." Before Bloody Mary could react Adrian teleported out with Vincent and Sane’s body.

He appeared next to Annie, let go. She didn’t get a chance to say anything before she found herself somewhere else.

Left in that small town, Mary looked down with sadness. " So much evil, I must cleanse it all." She whispered sadly.
