Falling for two alphas Chapter 30

Three days later

I snapped open my eyes, my mouth went completely dry as I nervously swallowed. My heart beats as it pumps my blood through my veins. The blood rushes to the tips of my fingers, the pulse coming in hot waves that cause everything else to pulse...

My blurry vision couldn't see anything but darkness and my brain trying to process the information.

I was laying on the ground. The ground was covered in pieces of rock, shards of glass, dirt in some places, and sand in others. It was quiet in the hallway, the same quiet that comes with the snowfall when every living animal is hiding at home where it’s warm. The Dungeon looked like hell but felt like Heaven.

I tried to get up but I was too weak to stand on my own. I took the support of the wall and got up.

I was barely standing straight as I looked above. The Dungeon was a long, and dark hallway, the lights were hanging from the ceilings swinging back and forth, flickering on and off with the motion.

" Where am I? How I got here? How long I have been here?" all these questions made me go crazy but the question was how did I get out of here? I couldn't see but an endless dark hallway.

I don't know whether should I go there or not. I don't know what danger lurks at the end of the hallway but if I won't go. I'll be stuck here forever.

" Come on, Aisling you don't want to spend the rest of your life in this creepy, dark dungeon." I forcefully swallow a big lump in my throat. As I gathered all my courage and made up my mind that I am not going to sit here and do nothing.

I stepped into the hallway and collided with an object that seemed vaguely like a box or that's what I assumed. The hallway was bleak, cold, and completely dark. It was quiet and somber in there and I felt a chill as the darkness engulfed me. It was the most piercing darkness ever-it was not merely the darkness that came out of the absence of light, it was much more sinister.

The pitch-black atmosphere was impenetrable and I stood rooted to the spot, trying to stretch my eyes as wide as possible but I could barely make out a feeble outline of some distant object. There was nothing warm about that place. It smelled of something evil and the darkness was surreal. Cold and clammy I tried to creep out but it was futile, I was neither in nor out-too terrified to move lest I make a loud racket.

The darkness and quiet pressed into my ears and I drew out a chilling scream that seemed to warm my lungs with an inhuman warmth in the overwhelming darkness…

And from a distance, I could footsteps approaching my direction and I paused and find a rock on the ground and pick up for my protection.

And the footsteps were getting closer and closer second by second. The booming was furious and incessant. It was my heart, which seemed to swell into a mallet and swing against my rib cage, a drum full of dirt that might burst at any moment.

At last, he came into my sight, making his way toward me. His eyes...his eyes were what captivated me. Rings of gold encased the pupils of his eyes, like a craftsman who made the vessel that was his body and poured pure, melted gold into that vessel leaving only his eyes to show what was held within. And yet his eyes showed that the melted gold never hardened...but rather shifted and moved as his eyes did, giving it life, showing strength as well as warmth. It was enchantingly beautiful...the mesmerizing rich color that resided in his golden eyes. He can burn my skin with those eyes all he wants. He can whisper sweet, scorching nothings into my ear when he thinks nobody can see. He can tear down the walls I've built around my heart with his bare hands. but I can't let him without a fight.

A faint memory came into my mind like a storm and I remembered that he found me when Benny attacked me, wait where is Benny? And everyone else.

" Don't come closer! " I demanded.

A faint smile on his face as he paused just a few feet away from me. His eyes travel down to my hand in which I was holding the rocks.

" What are you going do? kill me!" he taunt me which made me furious even more.

" What have you done with my friends?" I demanded an answer from him and he stepped forward until he stop so closer to me that I can feel his breath on my face.

His lilac scent coated my nose.
