Kira had been sneaking glances at Damien any chances she got.
After her conversation with her aunt yesterday, she had decided to think things through and hear from Damien.
Anytime Damien turned to meet her eyes, she would immediately look away to avoid getting caught staring too much.
They were currently having a meeting but she could barely remember anything that had been said because the only thing that she had been thinking about all the while, was Damien and she wasn't paying attention to anything else but him.
Damien was having a feeling that Kira was staring at him and at first, he thought that he was simply imagining things, he just kept getting the feeling that someone was staring at him but whenever he turned to stare at Kira and maybe confirm if she was looking at him, he noticed that she wasn't looking at him and she seemed to be very concentrated on what her aunt was saying to them.
After expressing himself and letting Kira know that he had feelings for her, he felt like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders and he felt very relieved but the downside was that Kira didn't believe him.
He didn't exactly blame her for not believing him because he understood that she would probably find it very hard to trust his words especially since he had on several occasions told her to her face that he would never consider her as his mate and he would never look at her as a woman.
"I know this probably sounds very difficult since we have not really been acquainted with each other for very long and there is still a lot of bad blood between our people but we have to put to make things right amongst ourselves because I believe that if we don't settle our differences, we can't possibly get into a fight with the vampires because they certainly prey on the fact that we are not as united as we should be. So to wrap this up, let's all make an effort," Layla said.
Sebastian clapped his hands. "Finally something I agree with. As much as I don't like the Silvermoon pack and I don't trust them either, I completely agree with the fact that we need to do better and work on settling the differences between us completely because I feel like the reason why the creatures cursed by the sun have been able to get to us is that they know that we're divided and they're using that against us," he replied.
"That is true. I feel like they've been living amongst us for such a long time now that you know quite a lot of things about us and that is why they've been able to successfully attack us without us even realising what was going on and I think that the best thing that we can do right now is just to make sure that we are a step ahead of them and be prepared for the absolute worst," Draco seconded.
"That's great then. Alpha Kira and Alpha Damien, is there anything either one of you would like to add?" Layla asked.
Damien and Kira were not exactly paying attention to anything that they were saying so they were pretty much lost and had no idea what Layla was asking.
Draco leaned in and whispered what they had just said to Damien cause he could tell that Damian had not paid attention.
"I am down for whatever," Damien said firmly.
"Kira?" Layla called.
Kira took a deep breath and exhaled.
"Anything is fine by me," she replied, taking another glance at Damien and this time, their eyes met.

"What the fuck do you mean by Damien isn't back?" Sheila growled when the maid assigned to her room informed her that Damien had still not returned to the pack.
She was still very furious over the fact that Damien had walked out on her all of a sudden and when she had tried looking for him, she ended up finding out that he had left the pack without even telling her that he was leaving.
Her insides churned and she clenched her fists, frustrated that everything wasn't going the way she wanted it to. She has been trying to come up with a solution to all of this but how was she supposed to change how things were at the moment when Damien wasn't even here?
She desperately needed things to turn around because she knew that Nathaniel was going to kill her if she didn't have Damien eating at the palm of her hands again. Nathaniel did not think she had any other uses besides keeping Damien in check and making sure that the plan was running smoothly and if she was unable to do that, he was just going to get rid of her without thinking twice about it.
She knew exactly who to blame for all of this and it was no one else but Kira who had walked into her life and had done nothing but ruined her life ever since she came into the picture.
"Just get out!" she hissed harshly at the maids and they scurried away, not wanting to be in her presence for too long so that she wouldn't find a reason to punish them.
"Damn you Kira!" she said through her teeth as she sat at the edge of her bed.
If Kira had not shown up from anywhere, Damien would still very much be in love with Sheila and Sheila wouldn't have to be worrying about how to get Damien's attention back. She hated this very much and wished Kira did not exist in the first place.
She shook her head vigorously. She refused to accept defeat. She refused to believe Damien had slipped through her finger in just a short period.
"You are more than this Sheila. You can't lose to that useless good for nothing brute, you just can't! How in the world am I supposed to face Nathaniel and the rest if I can't even get rid of a stupid bitch? Who is going to respect me if I feel such a simple task?" she said to herself, attempting to up her spirit.
She needed to act fast before Nathaniel did or he wouldn't spare her life and everything that she had worked for in all these years would just turn out to be a waste.

"I don't understand what you mean by that Nathaniel. Can you please explain to me what exactly you're talking about?" Sheila asked, visibly confused by her brother.
Nathaniel had suddenly sent her and she was a little confused as to why she was there. He had just said something that she found very weird and she needed him to explain himself because she had no idea what he was talking about.
"I don't think that anything that I just said should be giving you any difficulty at all Sheila but since you want me to repeat myself, I'll go right ahead. I've decided that this whole situation is dragging on for way too long and that we need to begin with our plans of taking out the werewolves," he said and Sheila simply listened quietly.
"As we speak, there is no authority that is currently protecting the Silvermoon pack besides that weak excuse for a third in command and I think that this is the best time for us to attack them and wipe a good number of them out even if we can't wipe all of them out," Nathaniel explained and Sheila frowned.
"I know that we already had a plan of wiping all of them out but I thought the initial plan was to start with the Red Moon pack before eventually finishing with the Silvermoon pack? What's with the sudden change? Just because Damien and Draco are not available at the moment does not mean that we can just jump to the conclusion that the Silvermoon pack is unprotected. Olivia is not exactly as weak as you think she is and I'm pretty sure that Damien and Draco must have planned something before leaving," Sheila said, trying to reason with him.
"You don't have to worry about anything Sheila because what we are going to do is not anything too serious. The original plan was to wipe all of them out and that is to just kill them without thinking twice about it but I have made up my mind that instead of killing them, how about we just turn them into one of us and make them into our slaves?" Nathaniel said suggestively.
"I need you to be clear with me brother Nathaniel," Sheila responded.
"We've been able to get a few of the werewolves under our mind control which means that we have the power to control them should we be able to suppress them. My plan is to turn the werewolves by biting them instead of killing them. Some of them might be able to take it while some are probably going to die and for those that are able to take it, we are going to keep them under control and we're going to use them as our warriors," Nathaniel explained.
"So what you're trying to say is, you're going to bite them and turn them into vampires and for the ones that will be able to survive being both a werewolf and a vampire, you're going to make them into one of us?" Sheila asked.
"Those filthy things can never be one of us, Sheila. What I'm going to do is make them kill each other and make things easy for us in the process. They already don't like each other which means that it is very easy to manipulate them and make them nothing but our dogs," Nathaniel clarified.
"By the time we're done with them, there will be no werewolf left in this world and once that is, we'll become unstoppable," Nathaniel added proudly and Sheila simply stared back at him with a small smile on her face.
The first person on her list of people to kill would be Kira.
