I lost it right then and kissed her back. As much as I try to hold back and keep myself from falling for her female wiles, I find I can't anymore. I kiss her with all my pent-up urge for sex. I kiss her like my life depends on how well my tongue can explore every nook and cranny of her mouth.
Her lips are soft. The fresh minty taste of her mouth fuels the urgency to fuck her even more. I slowly push her towards the bed while still kissing, and then from nowhere, I hear a voice crying softly.
Even though I'm sure of what I'm hearing, I know it's not possible. There's no one with me in the room except the woman I'm kissing. And there's no way she can be able to make the crying sound I'm hearing while still kissing me. Absolutely no way.
I kiss the woman in my arms harder, doing my best to block out the strange voice crying. We arrive by the bed and I push her on it before moving to lie on top of her. I place my lips back on hers and we continue to kiss.
The crying suddenly increases in volume. It's unmistakable now.
'Is somebody hiding in my room?' I wonder.
However, before I can pull away from the kiss to search my room thoroughly, a sudden explosion-like sensation goes off in my head, making me quickly push away from her. The sound is piercing and kinda drilling into my brain at the same time. I tightly shut my eyes and hold on to my head as if I can shut the agonizing sound out of my brain but no! It only grows worse.
I clearly hear the crying sound now. Even with the mad pain I'm feeling in my head, I can tell the voice belongs to a woman. A she-wolf to be precise. The human and her beast are wailing and howling inside my head at the same time.
I've fought wars. I've been shot at and stabbed with silver. I've taken vampire's venom and wolf's bane all at the same time, so it's fair to say I know what it means to be in serious pain. The kind of pain that makes your eyes bulge and your nose drips uncontrollable mucus.
But this pain is unlike any pain that I've ever been through before. As the volume of the crying of the human and wolf's voices increases inside my head, so does the pain. My head feels as if it's about to explode and implode at the same time.
Breathing hard, I squint my eyes open and glare at the she-wolf that I'm sure caused my pain.
"What did you do to me!?" I shout at her through the unbearable pain I'm feeling inside my head.
She has the guts to look panic-stricken as if she has no idea what I'm talking about
"Do to you? You think I did something to you, Alpha!? But why? Why would you believe such of me? Why would I want to hurt you, after I've pledged my allegiance to you?" She says and attempts to move closer but I immediately step back from her.
"Get away from me you evil bitch! Don't come any closer! Don't... Ughhhhh!" Another groan bursts out of my mouth while I'm still talking, doubling me over till I fall on my knees under the agonizing pain that is threatening to drive me insane for real.
I'm a proud shifter but I don't know when I start begging and cursing her all at the same time...
"Make it stop! Please make it stop!... Ughhhhh!... Bitch, what are you doing to me! Make it stop dammit! I'm going to fucking kill you! I swear it Victoria, I'll kill you!... Ughhhhh!"
"But I didn't do anything to you. I swear on my life that I didn't do anything, Alpha. Please believe me!" She cries and attempts to touch me again but immediately retreats her hand when she sees the murderous look in my eyes.
"Then why am I in pain if you didn't do anything to me? I was fine before you came! This started immediately after you kissed me!" I forcefully say through clenched teeth.
I'm furious with her and so is Kane. He wants to come out and he will surely kill her if I let him but I don't. I hold him back with all my might. Growling and punching the floor out of the frustration of holding him back while dealing with so much pain.
As much as I want to strangle her right now for causing me so much pain, I resist the desire. She will surely die by my hands but not before I find out her reasons for doing what she did and how she managed to cause me so much pain without lifting a finger.
Eric was right. I trusted and let down my guide around her. I shouldn't have done that. I just pray I don't end up dying because of my mistake.
My fists are now bloody from punching the floor over and over again. I am delirious with pain so much so my vision begins to get blurry and I start to see things that aren't there...
I see the sun setting on a golden wheat field. Amidst the wheat, I see a beautiful she-wolf with long wavy, golden hair that cascades down her back and over her shoulders. She is wailing as if she's grieving for someone dear to her. She also seems furious. I can also see the rage through her tears.
She doesn't look familiar and I wonder who she is and why she's crying so hard. Why am I seeing her? Why am I having this vision?
'Mate!' Kane suddenly growls loudly inside me. 'Mate!'
"Mate?..." I say questioningly
'Our mates. You're hurting our mates.'
Just as I'm about to ponder on Kane's statement another wave of strong pain hits me and I fall in exhaustion. I am completely drained and don't have the strength to stay on my knees any longer. As I fall, I hear Victoria scream and rush towards me. She sits on the floor and lifts my head to rest on her lap.
Crying, she begs,
"Please don't die! I swear I didn't do anything to you! Please don't die! Please don't die! Somebody help me!..." She continued to scream
I don't believe her drama and I don't want her touching me but I can't do anything about it. I don't have the strength to push her away from me. I just wish for the pain to go away.
I feel some kind of liquid trickling down my nose. I slowly reach up with my hands to touch it. Before I can bring my hand closer to my face to see what is coming out of my nose, she alarmingly announces it to me...
"Oh my god! Oh, goddess! You're bleeding from the nose!... Help somebody help!"
I know no one can hear her because my room is soundproof so nobody from outside can eavesdrop on my conversation. I need help and I might die if no one showed up to help me.
I started to call my team through our mind link
"Eric!... Bear!... Henrik!... Ivar!... Ella!... Timothy!– help! I call all their names because I don't know who is too deep in sleep to hear me and who is available among them.
I continue calling all of their names over and over again till I hear the door burst open.
