"Fuck, I badly need this."
I chuckled hearing Olivia. I glanced at her in the mirror and saw her sulking face. They have just returned from their icy vacation. I immediately invited her to the mall because I also have a lot of appointments for pampering stuff.
Ever since we met, she has no story to tell but his boredom on that vacation.
"I'm so glad I had the best vacation, Olivia." I smirked and closed my eyes.
My hair is currently soaked in the treatment. She did not answer me and turned to me with judgmental eyes. Great, now she's interested.
"Right. It's the best vacation that you wouldn't even bother to tell me anything about."
I looked up again. I sniffed and looked at him. I looked at the woman behind her who's fixing her hair. Whether someone is listening or not, I'm sure I have no intention of telling him that either.
"So you're really not gonna say anything?" she narrowed her eyes.
In the mirror we talk.
"Say what?" my innocent question.
"That you and Erato are together in your villa?"
My eyes widened a fraction. I didn’t expect her to know that, but it’s also not surprising how she found out.
"Tss. See?" she hissed.
I sighed and raised a brow. "Yes. You're right, and I'm sure you know who's with us."
I want to look innocent and I'm good at it. But now in front of Olivia…
"Jax and his friends." she stated.
I nodded. I pursed my lips after and she just looked at me suspiciously, apparently still reading my mind.
"See? Everything's just normal." I shrugged.
"You're being silent knowing that you've been with Erato and THAT is not normal." she smirked.
I glanced at her, she caught me a little at what she said, but I kept my face straight. She just smirked at me and shook her head lightly.
Fortunately that was the last time we talked about that. I didn't even know what I was going to do to him. What can I tell her then? That Erato fingered me on that vacation? Jesus.
After our other appointments we just shopped. Olivia's for sure splurging like crazy, that's where she probably poured her frustration on the whole vacation with her aunt while I only bought a few pieces. Feeling tired I just rested on the bench while waiting for Olivia to finish shopping.
I sighed and massaged my foot a bit. I'm bored, so I just use my cellphone while waiting. It was like a dream for me to recall what happened between Erato and me. That vacation was a legit dream for me, alas and we returned immediately. Since we returned here to Cavite, everything has returned to normal.
He seldom visits the house, and if he does visit I can't reach him either. He seemed busy, I also don't know why it seems that every time he comes to us, dad and brother Jax always have something to talk about.
Though, we text sometimes. I bit my lip and read our last conversation. That night, we were talking about a movie I was asking him about.
Me:
But the guy is a bit hot though. He's just bad.
Erato:
Are we still talking about the movie or the guy now?
It was as if my stomach was tickling as I read that message. I was just asking him about this movie and he told me that he didn't like it because the leading man is a sadist and abusing girls.
Me:
The movie. Haha
Erato:
Sleep now. It's late.
"Hey!"
"Huh?"
I quickly put down my cell phone and looked up at Olivia who looked like she had been calling me earlier. Her forehead furrowed and she tried to look at the screen of my phone but hid it immediately. She watched my gesture.
"What? You're done?" I said as if nothing had happened.
She narrowed her eyes, my cheeks getting cold from what she could say.
"Is this good or this one?" She asked, holding the two crop tops.
I pointed to the black color and smiled at her. She raised an eyebrow and turned her back on me and continued shopping. I sighed and giggled inside my head, fortunately she didn't ask any more questions.
I read our messages again.
Me:
How about you?
Erato:
Still digesting.
Me:
What? You just ate?
I touched my lips to hide my smile while scrolling for more messages.
Erato:
Cases, Jade.
I laughed lightly, rubbing my forehead. The messages that followed were me letting him know that I’m going to sleep. Even though I wanted to talk to him, I didn't want to disturb him in his studies. Yes. Summer and he's still studying. I'm still amazed at him, I only recently found out that he is really interested in studying. I'm just wondering why he still seems to have so much time, I can't tell if he's still studying or not.
I typed for the new message.
Me:
Busy?
I turned it off again after a short word. I know he won't reply right away. I only know because sometimes his replies to me take a few hours. Either he’s doing something or he really just doesn’t want to reply right away. My phone vibrated, and to my surprise, I saw his name in there. I slid the screen and read his message.
Erato:
No.
I took a deep breath. It's just two god damn letters, why do I feel like floating or something? Has he affected me so badly?
Me: I
'm in the mall with Olivia. 'bout you?
I actually waited for him to reply, embarrassed that it seemed to prolong the conversation. But damn! He replied right away.
Erato:
Terraza. Night out.
I gasped. He's out? I stared at Olivia who was slightly staring still looking in my direction every few minutes. I pursed my lips typing a new message.
Me:
Can I go?
My cheeks heated after sending the message. Shocks! For sure he will not allow it. I'm just trying my luck. They're just across the mall, I haven't seen him for a few days so I'm just trying. Besides, maybe he's still with my brother Jax.
The phone vibrated after a minute.
Erato:
You want to?
My stomach felt cold at his message. I even refreshed the messages to see if he really did send the right message. Does he agree? I didn't know what to type. I thought for a long time until he had another message.
Erato:
We'll hop in Tagaytay later, you'll spend the night. Your father will look for you.
My shoulder dropped. It's within my reach!
