“Why do we need to go outside if we can talk here inside of my pack house?”
“Okay, I just thought that we could walk for a minute so we could have enough time with each other.”
“Alpha Brandon, you knew that I had a mate, right?”
“Are you still proud that you're mated to a cheater? I couldn't believe it if told me that you didn't even feel that Amoux was fucking Anaya. Alpha Leah, I never thought that you were such a martyr.”
“Alpha Brandon,” I called his name to stop him from telling me about Amoux. I knew that Amoux did that to get his revenge on me for how I treated him but it doesn't make it right. What he did make everything worse.
Alpha Brandon and I walked outside of my pack. We both looked severe. We're waiting for each other to spill everything that we wanted to say.
“When I was in Samantha's house, I discovered that you're a healer.” I was stunned when Alpha Brandon started our conversation. We went straight to the training ground of our pack.
“Samantha told you about me?” Alpha Brandon nodded his head. He avoided his eyes on me and looked at the wide training area.
“At first, I couldn't believe that you're one of the healers. But, I remembered that you used it on me.” Alpha Brandon sat on the ground. The calmness on his face made me think about how we first met each other.
Alpha Brandon may appear cold whenever he is staring at me but there was something in his eyes when he gazed at me. It feels like his eyes were secretly pointing out a message to my soul.
He tapped the ground as if he was cleaning it for me. Did he think that what he was doing was useless? It's too dirty, and more people walked to the ground.
“I thought you wanted us to talk about Anaya? Why are you mentioning me?” I rolled my eyes at him.
Alpha Brandon chuckled when he gazed at me. He shook his head while there was a grin plastered on his lips.
“Alright. Anaya was my mate. She's the woman who rejected me because she wanted Amoux. She wanted to be the Queen.”
“Are you telling me the truth? But how did you know?”
“There was a small party that I visited. And this party was exclusive for werewolves only. That night I met Anaya at the party. We made out, but she rejected me right away after we did that. I never thought that my mate would reject me even though I am an Alpha.”
“Because Anaya wants a Lycan King mate by her side. Nice, I never thought that she had that kind of attitude. When we were in the Nightwalker, she was too innocent.”
“Alpha Leah, I didn't think that she was innocent. She's the woman that needs to be avoided. She was like a snake.”
“You sound bitter, Alpha Brandon.” I tease him. He glared at me as if he was stopping me from what I was planning to do.
“At first, yes. I can't accept that my mate rejected me without doing anything to get to know me. But, I don't think that I am bitter today. I was mad that I saw Amoux fucking Anaya, not because she was my ex-mate, it's because of you. He was cheating on you. He knew that you would feel the burning sensation in your chest if he did that but he still chose to hurt you.” I shrieked when Alpha Brandon pulled me so he could hug me. I heard his heartbeat was too fast. It was pounding like he was in the freaking race.
“Your heart was beating too fast.” Alpha Brandon's face reddened in embarrassment. I saw his ears flush.
“Please, will you stop what you're doing? I knew that my heart was beating for you but I am shy that you're aware of it.”
“Then, if that's what you felt. Your love for me wasn't too deep. Alpha Brandon, I was hurt and I don't know if I could give you a chance to be with me.”
“You're with me, tonight Leah. And this is the chance that you're giving me.”
“Alpha Brandon, I don't like to hurt you. I don't like to tell you that you had a chance but in truth, you aren't.” My voice was too low. I immediately bowed my head to remove my stare at him.
“Alpha Leah, maybe you aren't my mate. I don't know why you had too much of an effect on me. I don't know why my wolf always wants to see you. I wished that I knew the answer to my question.”
“But I was sure that I am madly in love with you. I will do everything to protect you even if it causes my life.” Alpha Brandon added.
“You don't need to do that. Alright, I believed what you're confessing to me.” I quickly surrendered. I was surprised when he moved closer to me. He held my chin and looked into my eyes.
“W-What are you going to do, Alpha Brandon?”
“Your lips were inviting me to taste them. Leah, I want to suck your mouth until you can't stop yourself from moaning my name when you immediately reach your peak.”
Alpha Brandon claimed my lips and I closed my eyes to feel his wet kisses for me. Alpha Brandon deepened his mouth to my mouth. After a minute, he automatically freed my lips.
He was peeking at my lips and gently touched them like a treasure.
“I know that I told you that I will respect you, right? Alpha Leah, I wouldn't force you but I will help you to get the justice that you need.”
“Alpha Brandon, you can help me to win against the Sergios right? I want to get justice for my parents, and Richelle.”
“I believed that there were a lot of werewolves who could fight with them. You see, Lycan Hector may be the Lycan king that he needs to overcome the rules. There are a lot of elders here in this world and I know that they will help us.”
“Tomorrow, we will go to the elder's home.” Alpha Brandon whispered before he attacked my lips with so much passion. I moaned when he began sucking my lips, and he even licked them while I was watching him.
