I was panting so hard, and my clothes had Keer's blood. My body trembled in anger about what he said to me. What does he mean? Is he lying that the disease was in my body without me noticing it?
“Alpha Leah,” Alpha Brandon ran towards me. He hugged me so right that I almost couldn't breathe anymore. I placed my hand on his chest when I heard his heart beating too fast.
“Your heart..” I mumbled. Alpha Bradon's face flushed. I heard him curse that he was embarrassed that I could hear his heart.
“Don't mind it. My heart raced because I am nervous that something bad might happen to you. All I wanted was your safety.”
“Alpha Brandon.” I didn't even know how I would react to his words. I am thankful to the Moon Goddess that Alpha Brandon was fine.
“Favio!” Samantha shouted. She hugged Fabian but Fabian had confusion on his face. I saw Samantha cry while she was hiding her face in Fabian's chest.
So, it's true that Fabia was Favio. But, why didn't he remember everything? He seemed lost, and there was a doubt on his face.
“Fabian, are you alright?” I asked him. He shook his head while he was clutching his chest. It looks like he couldn't breathe properly.
“We need to go. This mansion will disappear and if we're still here, we might disappear too.” I was shocked when Samantha informed us what would happen to the mansion.
“Favio was here. And, I found him. So this mansion will vanish, and we need to hurry!” Samantha added.
“Almera, inform the others that they need to leave this mansion immediately.” I hurriedly connected with Almera using the mind link.
“Alright, Alpha. But, Desmond wasn't here.” I stopped when Almera responded so fast. I glance at Fabian.
“Where did you leave Desmond?” Fabian became worried when he remembered his brother. But we were all alarmed when Samantha screamed. Keer was behind him, and he was pointing the arrow that I used at her. Blood was dripping from his mouth, and even his teeth were coated with his blood.
“Did you think that you would be happy with that man, Samantha? He couldn't even remember you!” We heard him whisper those words to Samantha. He even sucked Samantha's ear while closing his eyes.
Keer was too obsessed with Samantha. I don't know what's their story but it looks like Keer wanted Samantha as his wife but Samantha loved another man.
“You're an idiot. You knew that Favio didn't even recognize you. But what about me? I did everything to forget my feelings for you but I failed. Why did you want a man who didn't even care about you? He forgot you and lived a normal life with Desmond.”
“S-Shut up, Keer. I don't love you! I tried to force myself but—”
“Bitch, if you tried everything, you would let yourself learn to love me,” Keer shouted in anger. He coughed and there was more blood going out into his mouth.
“And, you even asked for help from this freaking bitch. Did you think that you would win over me if she helped you?”
“Alpha Leah, you may be an Alpha but it didn't change the fact that you're a homeless kid that I hoped I killed when I had a chance. How dare you do this to me?” Keer was glaring at me. He grinned at me and I wish that I could wipe his devilish grin plastered on his face.
“Do you want me to tell you how your parents died because of that disease? Did Amoux tell you why his parents slowly killed your parents, Leah?” I was stunned by his questions. So it means that Amoux was aware of why my parents died and he didn't tell me everything.
I clenched my teeth in so much frustration. I blinked when I felt Keer's heart gradually weaken. He must be dead within a minute, I think.
“You're the one who used that disease on my parents. So, you're the one who murdered Richelle?” I asked him. Keer was laughing but he stopped when the blood was coming out inside of his mouth.
“I am not the one who killed her. But, I knew who it was, which forced me to tell you everything that I know about Alpha Leah.”
I understand what game he wants to use. He wanted me to heal him so he could tell me who killed Richelle using that disease. I smirked and shook my head in disbelief. Does he think that I don't even know the truth?
“You want me to use my healing ability to heal you, right? In exchange, you will tell everything that you know.” Keer nodded and he laughed at me. Samantha's face was severe when she looked at me. I even saw her moving her eyes like she was giving me a message.
“Y-Yeah. You're smart. You're too fast to understand what I want.”
“Keer, did you think that I don't even know who commanded you?”
“W-What do you mean?” He stammered. I walked closer to him, and his eyes widened. He grasped Samantha's neck.
“Your nose was bleeding. The poison was too fast, I can't believe that it was effective. Your ears will start to get numb, and you won't hear anything.” I muttered.
“W-What are you saying?” He shouted. He noticed that my mouth was moving but he couldn't hear anything from me.
“You, fucking slut! What did you do to me?” Fear was too evident in his tone. I watched him tapping his chest, and It looked like the poison was too fast.
“Ahh—” Keer's body trembled before he fell on the floor. I screamed when the mansion was shaking like there was an earthquake.
“Let's go!” We were all running to the exit but there were a lot of blocks slowly falling in our direction.
“Almera, did you see Desmond?” Everything in the mansion is scattered and broken. We're too close to the exit but Fabian slumped. Samantha cried out in fear.
“Shit! Samantha, use the magic that you did to me.” Alpha Brandon held my hand. And we run at the same time for our lives. We all reached outside of the mansion but I didn't even see Desmond.
“Shit! Almera, where are you?” But, I didn't even receive Almera's answer. I groaned in frustration and I was about to enter the mansion again but Alpha Brandon stopped me by grabbing my hand.
There was a little cut on his face, but his handsome face was too apparent. I don't know why he looked like that in my eyes.
“You don't need to go there. Please, don't make me worry.” I closed my eyes when I felt his hand touch my face. I was breathing so loud.
“What about Desmond? He wasn't even here. I don't want him—”
“Alpha Leah, I know that Desmond was alright. Trust your beta.”
“But, I don't want them to die either. They're all important to me, and I don't want to lose them.”
“You won't lose them, Leah. I knew that they were all safe.” We heard shouting so I turned around to find who shouted. I saw Almera with our companions. They're all holding Desmond who was unconscious.
“Desmond!” Favio ran towards his brother. The mansion slowly vanished and we watched it disappear.
“Oh, Desmond! You make me worried!” Favio cried while he was embracing his brother. I turned my gaze to Alpha Brandon when he tightened his hold on my hand. He sighed and avoided his eyes on me.
“Don't make me jealous, Alpha Leah. You didn't even take your eyes off of Favio.” I laughed so loud when Alpha Brandon acted like he was jealous of Favio.
“You don't need to get jealous, because I am seeing Favio as my older brother.” I ensured that Alpha Brandon saw my sweet smile for him. He coughed.
“That's good to hear. Because I Don't want to get a rival again.”
“Alpha Brandon, you're acting as if you controlled me.”
“Alpha Leah, you know that I loved you, am I right?” My heart was racing when Alpha Brandon told me those words. I don't even feel irritated because of what he said, and I can't believe that I am glad that he had feelings for me.
“Why are you telling me this, Alpha Brandon? You're aware that Amoux—”
“He's cheating on you, with Anaya.” I was surprised when he mentioned Anaya. It feels like he knew her because his mouth was too comfortable when he mentioned Anaya.
“I know you had a lot of questions inside of your mind. But I will answer everything once we reach your pack. I want to take a rest first.” I nodded to him. I think that I needed to wait for him to confess everything.
Minutes passed when we arrived at my packed house. My members take care of Samantha. I let them use the other rooms that weren't occupied.
Desmond lost consciousness because the cabinet fell to him. I did everything to heal him using herbal medicine but in truth, I was using my ability, so he could heal so fast.
“Thank you, Almera. What happened to Kairo?” I went to the kitchen to eat when I saw Almera cooking something for her mate. My forehead ceased when I saw the food that she prepared for her mate.
“He's alright. I cooked porridge for him.” My face paled when she told me that what she was cooking was porridge. But the porridge that she cooked was colored black.
“Are you sure that it was porridge? Is Kairo too hungry?” Almera gazed at the black porridge on the bowl. She was looking at me while she furrowed.
“Are you insulting the food that I prepared?” She rolled her eyes at me.
“Of course not. I just want to make sure that you're doing right. You know Almera, there's one rule when you're cooking.”
”And what is that? Don't tell me that I need to put my orgasm on this food.”
“Yikes! That's disgusting!” Almera chuckled when her mouth twitched. I knew she was teasing me about it.
“Did you check the taste of the food that you cooked? Don't get me wrong, of course, I know that you want to serve a delicious porridge for your mate.”
“I know it's delicious, Alpha Leah. I trust my instincts.”
“If you're confident that it tastes so good then get a small amount of porridge. There's nothing wrong if you check the taste.” Almera stared at the bowl before she took a small plate, and put a small amount of porridge.
I saw her hands tremble. She was nervous that maybe, the porridge that she cooked had poison or will cause her a stomach ache.
When the spoon touches her mouth. Seconds passed when her face turned sour. She puked.
“Shit! Disgusting! I couldn't believe that Kairo endured eating everything that I cooked for him.” She complained. She grabbed the bowl and put the porridge in the trash.
“I want to give my salute to Kairo. He secretly tortured himself with the food that you cooked for him.”
“It's not funny, Alpha Leah!”
“Okay, I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt you because of this, right? I can help you to cook it.”
I decided to teach Almera to cook porridge for her mate. She was too persistent to learn, and I felt happy for them.
“Taste it. You're the one who cooked that for him.”
I massaged my nape when Almera left me in the kitchen. So, I was about to leave too when Alpha Brandon walked towards me.
“Can we talk?” I nodded immediately. I am scared of what he was about to say.
“Can we walk while we're talking? And it's about Anaya.” My heart was beating too fast. Why did I had this feeling that I Don't want to know everything? I'm scared that I might get hurt, again.
