Leah's point of view
We waited a few hours to get out because we could still feel and hear the Nightwalkers who hadn't left.
"Almera, I was wondering why they can't smell us?" I asked Almera. She was stunned and then wondered why the Nightwalker couldn't smell us.
"This room has a potion that can remove the smell of werewolves. Alpha Giovanni looked for a witch who did the potion for the Red Moon Pack. This witch gives us many options so we can use them for this room. Alpha Giovanni thought this to save the other members who can't fight for themselves."
Does that mean Alpha Giovanni that the Nightwalker will attack the Red Moon Pack anytime? But how did he know about this?
"This is why we also train the children and women here in our pack so that they can defend themselves when the men who go to war are dead. NightWalker were heartless werewolves. They are greedy in power, especially Lycan Hector." Almera added.
"Did you mean the Red Moon Pack and the Nightwalker had been fighting each other for a long time? Alpha Giovanni seems to know that something bad will happen to the Red Moon Pack."
"As far as I know, it's been a long time. It began when Alpha Giovanni's father was the Alpha of this pack. We didn't know what happened that time."
And, to help Alpha Giovanni's father, my father was determined to enter the Nightwalker to spy on them. Unfortunately, the Lycan and his Luna found out about my father's plan, so they killed them slowly using a disease. They used my parents' ability to heal for their profit because they knew that my parents' lives were deducted every time they healed someone. They want them to get weak, so the disease can easily murder them without them knowing about it.
But how did they put the disease on my parent's bodies? It seems like they know what they're doing. The Lycan calculated everything. I thought he was innocent, but he wasn't!
"Did you know who the former beta of Alpha Giovanni's father is? "Almera frowned, then wondered what my parents' names were.
"Sorry, Leah. I was only a child that day, but as I remember, they were one of the 'Vuk' who lived here in the Red Moon Pack." I was holding on to the wall when I heard what Almera said. My parents are indeed members of the Red Moon Pack!
"Vuk… Leah Vuk?" Almera's sights widened as if she had just realized that thing. Even though we were mourning the death of the three Alphas, I couldn't help but laugh at her.
"Does it mean you're the only daughter of the Vuk family? Ha, that's why Alpha Giovanni announced that you are our Luna. He wants us to honor and love you."
I sighed and nodded. Even though a part of me simply wished that Alpha Giovanni was lying when he told me the information about my parents at that time, another part of me believed what he said.
'Why did I allow myself to love you, Amoux? I healed you several times because of my excessive concern for the Nightwalker, but it turned out that I'm helping the culprit of my parent's death.'
'And the Lycan wants me to use it for his interest! I can't believe that I let him use me! I can't think I was too gullible then; maybe they were secretly mocking me behind my back. They're secretly laughing at me for helping that murderer!
Little by little, I was enlightened by everything that happened, especially about my parents. I know they didn't consider me their member, but it hurts to think about that.
"Did you notice, Leah, that on the left side of this land, it's the Nightwalkers? While on the right side of this land belongs to Alpha Giovanni, Alpha Rozen, and Alpha Dylan."
"What do you mean, Almera?"
"This is my insight about the war between the Nightwalker and the three packs. I don't know if I'm right in my speculation, but I thought that the Nightwalker might want to take over the land of the three Alphas. I think they ambush here to get this freaking land. You know that the Lycans were the strongest right? But maybe they're scared that the three packs want to defeat them."
I shut my mouth because of Almera's speculations. Maybe she's right, but why does Lycan Hector want this freaking land? I held my breath when I felt that the Nightwalker had already left.
"I think we can go out now. The enemies were not in the Red Moon pack anymore. Let's find those who survive this attack.
"Almera, I want you to choose those who can help us with the search," I added. I saw Almera follow my instructions.
In a few minutes, Almera was done choosing those who could help us to search for those who survived this ambush. We even brought our weapons so that in case someone attacked us, and we could defend ourselves. We started looking for all of the survivors. We were exhausted while looking for them.
There are a lot of burning trees and houses. I looked at the black smoke that reached the sky.
"Let's group ourselves into two. So we can search fast. Our time is limitless, and we can't take a risk."
"Leah, what if a Nightwalker tries to kill you? We can't leave you like that! We pledge to help and protect you!"
"Almera!"
"You're the luna of this pack. I can't take a risk! I want you to be safe." Almera is a bitch sometimes.
Our companions agreed, so I couldn't do anything but let them protect me. I know they're just thinking about my safety, but I want to fight for them too.
"Over there!"
"Leah, we found some survivors.." I looked at Almera when she spoke behind my back. I just nodded to her, but I was sad. Many members of the Red Moon Pack died, but there were only a few men who survived.
"Then we should fix everything here. The Nightwalkers can't take this land." I heard Almera agree with me. The Red Moon Pack's land is close to Nightwalker, so they want to get it.
'Amoux, did you go here because of me? Or maybe you know what the Lycan wants. You used it as a reason to get the land of the Red Moon Pack.'
"Did the other packs discover what happened to Alpha Rozen and Dylan?"
"They are coming here. We already told them to use the mind link."
I turned around when I heard Almera's words. How is that possible? How do they communicate with other packs using the mind link?
"How do you communicate with them? What did you all do to connect with them using the mind link? Red Moon Pack is different to the packs that Alpha Rozen and Alpha Dylan background?"
"It's part of the agreement. They all know that the Lycan wants this land so badly, and they think they can help each other to stop Lycan Hector's selfishness. Alpha Dylan, Alpha Rozen, and Alpha Giovanni had a blood compact to connect the members with each pack."
I want to sob and shout in agony because of what I found out. It means I am right that Amoux used me as their excuse to assassinate this pack. They want to get the three Alphas' land to become more powerful!
"How were the children?"
"They're doing fine, Leah. But they're afraid that the Nightwalker may come back."
"Almera, ask the other packs for help. We need to secure this land."
When the other members of Alpha Rozen and Alpha Dylan's packs arrived, their faces showed sadness.
"You're Leah, right?" Alpha Rozen's beta asked me.
"Yes..." I showed him the three Alpha rings I was holding. He couldn't believe he saw me holding it.
"We thought William would replace Alpha Rozen. He is starting to spread that information."
"Who is William? Is Alpha Rozen his brother?"
"Yes, he is the eldest son, but because he is pure evil, Alpha Rozen was given to lead the pack..."
"Then who do you want to serve? Are you on our side, or are you on William's side?" Almera started interrogating him. She went right behind Alpha Rozen's trusted beta.
"Calm your pussy, Almera. Leah holds the Alpha ring, meaning she is the next Alpha. But it might not be easy for her to get William to disappear."
"We will help Leah to get William out. Alpha Rozen chose Leah." Almera.
I glanced at Alpha Giovanni's body. I touched his cheek, but my tears slowly fell. I ignored the fight between Almera and Alpha Rozen's beta.
"Alpha Giovanni, I hate you. I know that you know that it might be the last time we meet, but you still didn't run away from your obligation."
"You all, three, help me. I don't think I can lead this three-pack. I'm not good."
"If I agree to be your Luna, won't you fight with Amoux? I hope you are all alive."
I hugged the dead body of Alpha Giovanni. I growled my sobs even more because of the great grief I was feeling. Why is everything important to me taken by the Nightwalker? Don't they want me to be happy for a long time?
"Alpha Giovanni!" I shouted at the same time as our members were crying.
I even saw that Almera had been hugged by Alpha Rozen's beta, which seemed like he liked. At the same time, others fell on the floor.
'Alpha Giovanni, you will never forget from my heart and mind.'
They let me cry next to Alpha Giovanni's corpse, but I knew I couldn't be with him for long because we had to burn every corpse in the Red Moon Pack.
'Amoux, I can't allow myself not to get revenge for what you did to me. I'll make sure I kill your father with my bare hands!'
"Leah, we have to burn the corpses." I stared at Alpha Giovanni for the last moment then I planted a kiss on his lips.
