Leah's point of view
"The members of the Dark pack have arrived, Leah. They're searching for you." I don't know why I can't accept that Amoux used me to kill Alpha Giovanni, but I got to my feet when I heard Almera notify me.
"Are the meals prepared? When we visit the Shadow pack, I want us to be strong. The Shadow Pack won't let us in without a fight; I'm certain of that. William, in my opinion, will do anything to stop us from entering their territory."
"The food preparation is complete. The members of the Dark Pack were waiting for you. Leah, you need to show up. This will be challenging.."
"Almera, do you think that I can do this? I'm just an omega."
"You were the Omega in Nightwalker, but you are now our Alpha since you are the beta. Do you question your abilities? Leah, I'm confident you can pull this off. I'm not speaking as your friend, but as one of the Red Moon Pack members.."
I exhaled loudly. I'm unsure whether I'm doing it correctly; I keep telling myself that I'm cool with it, but as I consider the significant responsibility in each pack, I feel like giving up.
Almera gave my shoulder a gentle tap before inhaling deeply. She continued to sigh as if she were pondering what to say to me.
"I'm not sure why I have such high hopes for you. You are aware of how much I detest that only you can kick me in the ass! Women are not weak, let me tell you that. A woman can lead the pack. Do not allow them to bring you down."
"Whatever happens, the Red Moon Pack will always be by your side, Leah. I can assure you of that. Because we know you'll do everything in your power to strengthen our pack, we'll do everything you ask of us. Lastly, we know that you treat me as part of your family rather than a member. Everyone in the room has seen how you act as our Luna. You have our utmost trust.." Almera added.
As we both stared at each other and my tears began to cease flowing, we chuckled at one another. Almera and I are far closer than I ever expected.
"Almera, would you agree to serve as my beta in the Red Moon Pack?" Upon hearing that, her eyes widened. She merely gave me a pinch, causing me to wince in pain.
"Oh my! Are you sure you want me to serve as your beta here in the Red Moon Pack?" She struck my shoulder, causing me to whimper in tears.
"Ahh, I changed my mind about my—-"
"Don't you dare try to continue what you wanted to say, Leah! Okay, I accept to be the Beta of the Red Moon Pack!"
Almera and I walked to our guest together. The Dark Pack had so many members that it caught me off guard. Now I know that each of the three Alphas successfully leads their packs. I will show the three Alphas how I will accomplish great things because I want to be like them.
I could only hear voices as I drew nearer to them. They conversed at the exact moment as if they hadn't seen each other in a long time.
"Leah is here!" When someone yelled my name, there was a moment of silence. I gave Almera a serious look as I observed her. Almera scowled as Kairo came to us.
It seemed like the world had stopped spinning; they kept watching my actions. Their eyes were focused on me, making me wanted running away.
"Are you the new Alpha?"
I first took the three Alpha rings from my pocket to display them. When they discovered that I was holding it, they were shocked. The Dark Pack members continue to whisper among themselves.
"Leah, this is insulting. But how can we be confident that you got it? What makes us sure that you didn't take it from Alpha Dylan? "
"I was among the witnesses who saw Alpha Giovanni's gift, Leah, with the Alpha rings before he passed away. Alpha Giovanni received his Alpha ring from your Alpha. They decide to appoint Leah as our new Alpha if they all pass away." Almera answered.
The members of the Dark Pack didn't speak. They also seem to be using the mind link, so we can't hear what they're talking about.
"However, the Dark pack only has one restriction: a woman is not permitted to serve as our Alpha. That's one of the previous Alpha enacted laws, and Alpha Dylan cannot change that."
"I don't even give a fuck about those rules. Whether you like it or not, you must accept me as your new Alpha as long as I hold this Alpha ring.." Almera took Beta Dylan's head once I signaled her to give it to me.
The Dark Pack members started screaming in terror instantly. I faced them with a blank stare.
'You can do it, Leah. You got the Alpha rings from Alpha Giovanni because he knows your capability.'
'They will accept you as their new Alpha. We are one, Leah. I know you can lead these three packs.'
When I heard that voice once more, I was at peace. Is my wolf there? Although I lost Alphas Giovanni, Rozen, and Dylan, I still have a wolf by my side.
"Because Alpha Dylan's beta is also deceased, there is nothing you can do but accept me as your new Alpha. What happened to him is probably not something you want to experience, right?"
Their faces indicated shock that I was able to murder their beta, and they nearly retreated in panic. To make them even more frightened of me, I moved closer.
"Would you prefer this beta will be your new Alpha rather than me? Don't you all realize he is working with Lycan Hector to steal the Alpha ring?
"Why should we believe anything you say? Our Beta and Alpha Dylan have been close friends for many years. Since they have known each other since they were little, what you are stating is absurd! You're merely inventing a tale to win our approval as our Alpha."
"We from the Shadow pack witness that the Beta admitted that Lycan Hector gave him the command to take the Alpha ring.."
"Nonsense!" Again, the man yelled aggressively. He was about to attack me when an arrow struck him in the thigh.
"Attack our Alpha if you can. I won't think twice about using these arrows to kill you." I turned to face the woman who was speaking. She was a friend of Leah's and the first female opponent I met in our training session.
"Karen..." When she heard Almera calling her name, the woman turned around. Almera ran over to her and gave her a tight embrace.
"You're still alive! I wonder why I only saw you now."
"I hid the other kids somewhere in the Red Moon Pack. We just arrived here." After turning to face me and approaching me, Karen immediately bowed in respect.
"Karen, you don't have to bow down for me.." Almera grinned as though she had overheard something absurd. I'm sure she would have spoken what she wanted to say if there weren't people in front of us.
"Since you are my Alpha, I must respect you." It's Karen who speaks.
"Do you realize that Leah is merely frightening us, Dark Pack? Will we allow anyone to frighten us?!"
The other members are unsure of whose side they will support. I held my breath in response to the current situation. I anticipated that I would not get accepted right away. The fact that some members refused to recognize me as their Alpha caused the man to smile at me.
"Scared? You might not be breathing right now if I threaten you." I replied fiercely and then turned to face the members who were undecided about which side to choose.
"Come over here and stand by our side, those who accepted me as Alpha." Only the jealous one didn't come to me, so I couldn't believe that the entire Dark Pack had come to me.
"Almera, you already know what to do with those who don't accept me—" I was shocked by how swiftly that knife-wielding man approached me. I dodged it swiftly and kicked his hand to get him to drop the knife he was holding.
"Ahhh!" When I kicked his hand once again, he let out a scream. The man attempted to murder me, and Almera ran furiously to him.
"Alpha Leah!" Karen rushed over right away to put me behind her back.
"I'm good. I had no cuts or other wounds."
The collar seized the man who attempted to stab me by Almera. He gave me a murderous expression as he turned to face me.
"Traitors! You are aware that a woman cannot manage the Dark Pack!" He yelled fiercely at his pack members.
"Stop what you are doing! We know your desire to lead the Dark pack as an Alpha, so you are only using us to further that ambition."
"You're close to our beta, aren't you? It's a good thing he's dead!"
"We accept Leah as the new Alpha!"
"We will accept Leah rather than you!"
"This can't be happening! Only men are capable of handling the Dark Pack!" The man was struggling; his face was furious as he looked at me.
"I wouldn't want to be betrayed by anyone, so kill everyone who won't accept me!" I shouted to my members, and they immediately followed me. The battle became bloody because some tried to fight us.
I served them all at once with the food I had prepared for the other members. We all looked worn out. I even saw Kairo try to approach Almera, but Almera just gave him a sour face.
I took a goblet after taking the knife without wolfsbane. I cut my wrist after putting the goblet on the table.
"Leah, what are you doing? Are you planning to commit suicide?" I merely shook my head and watched the blood fall into the cup while Almera yelled angrily at me. When that was full, I took the leaf that would quicken the healing of my wound.
I secretly cured my wrist by touching it. I raised the cup after taking it. They put down their food and observed what I was going to do.
I assisted each member in taking a little drink of my blood with the assistance of Almera.
"Long live, our Alpha!"
"We welcome you, Alpha Leah!"
"Leah is the new Alpha!"
I was glad that we were all connected at this point. Anytime I choose, I can use mindlink to communicate with them.
"Leah, we have to go to the Shadow pack!" The voice of Kairo shocked me when it entered my thoughts. I couldn't help but be upset; I wanted to go to sleep calmly, yet here I was again, awake.
"Kairo, what is going on? Is the Shadow pack facing some issues?"
"We have to get over there right away. They will announce that William is our new Alpha!"
"Kairo, just in case you forgot, I still have the Alpha ring!"
"Once it is revealed that William is the new Alpha, the Alpha ring will be useless! Did you know that even though you own the Alpha rings, if the elders choose William to be the next Alpha, you cannot replace him?"
"Alright, inform Almera about this."
I grasped my hair in frustration. I feel like it's been years since I slept. I swear, I will kill William using my hands, and after that, I will take an extended vacation to rest!
