Leah's point of view…
I can't believe that when Alpha Brandon gave me an option, I felt threatened. Obviously, I'd prefer to eat with him rather than let him eat me.
As I walked with Alpha Brandon to the dining area, I noticed his attractive Beta walking close by when he noticed us.
“Oh!” When she noticed that we were heading to the dining area, Almera began to panic. Kairo and Karen were accompanying her.
“Almera!” When Almera didn't even prevent her gaze from Brandon's Alpha, Kairo yelled at his mate. The mark that indicates that Alpha Brandon's Beta is no longer available was visible when I looked at his neck. He finally met his mate and they marked each other.
“We're going to eat with all of you, Almera.”
“Alright, Alpha.”
I turned to face Alpha Brandon, who had been staring at me for a while. He bit his lips as I watched, but then he turned aside.
“The leader of the Crescent Moon Pack, he is Alpha Brandon. He wants to join our meal.”
Alpha Brandon gave them a nod. My forehead wrinkled when he sat next to me. What is he doing? Does he need to be seated next to me?
Almera was glaring at us fiercely, as I noticed. Even her eyebrows were raised as if she wanted to investigate me. She gave me a wink while grinning.
“You're winking at whom? Don't you see that the Beta is no longer available? Almera, I'm your mate!”
We all turned to stare at Kairo as he roared at his mate. I watched him halting and bowing his head in shame. When Kairo took her out of the dining room, Almera was shocked. When they quarrel, I always know where they are going and what they are doing up to.
When I observed the two guests glance at me as though they were wondering what happened to my two Betas, I would try to maintain my poker face. I wanted to yank Almera's hair. She wants Kairo to feel jealous, and I know what she's doing!
“Don't worry about my two Betas, please. It's problematic.” When I stated it, Karen started to chuckle. She was chewing some rice when she nearly spat it out.
“Oh, I believed that because of me, they might start fighting.”
“Your name, please. Alpha Brandon didn't even introduce you to us.
“I am Thomas. I work for the Crescent Moon Pack as the Beta. Additionally, I'm not single.” He pointed toward the mark on his neck as if to inform me. Wow! If I find my mate, I hope he will be faithful to me and proud of my mark for him whenever some ladies ask for information.
“I know I saw your mark.” He was exhaling with relief as I saw him. His eyes were turning toward Alpha Brandon, and I noticed it.
As we ate, we discussed the treaties and agreements made by our pack. I was pleased to speak with Alpha Brandon since he seems sincere enough to include me in a successful partnership! I am aware of how helpful he is to my pack. His leadership is excellent, according to my research on their pack.
“I'll be back here to meet with you once more. I like your suggestions for adopting those without a pack. However, I want to point out that the opponent can use it to get inside your pack.”
“Oh, Yeah! I also consider that. I'll make a note of it so I can come up with a strategy to keep the opponent from getting into this pack.”
“Your work in this pack is too hard. You seem to act like the Alpha of this pack and Luna too.” After hearing his opinion, I grinned. He is correct, so I want to agree with him. Although I had to play the roles of Luna and Alpha for the three packs, I felt very confident in managing them. I disliked having to read the stack of documents!
I'm aware that it's essential to check everything included in the pack. I need to be aware of how each pack has been doing, especially the funds.
“Maybe it's challenging. However, I treated them like my family. I want everyone in our pack to be content and happy.”
“Maybe I should join your pack so I may be pleased and happy with you!”
My saliva almost makes me gag. He said something cheesy to me, and I can't believe he did! Is he the Crescent Moon Pack's Alpha? Why is he behaving in a fuckboy manner?
“Alpha Brandon!”
“You blush, huh? I just wanted to let you know that I'm available, Alpha Leah.”
“I'm not inquiring about it. Argh! Stop talking! We're not here to make out or flirt; we're here to talk about our pack.”
“Do we appear to be flirting? Were we not in the phase of getting to know each other, didn't I think? I was eager to find out more about you! If it's fine with you, tell me about your ideal man.”
I was taken aback by his questions. Amoux is the man I love and consider to be my ideal partner, but I am aware of his relationship with Anaya. I am aware of it because I felt that he was having sex with her. I don't know why, but anytime Amoux does that with Anaya, I feel like I can't breathe. My wolf was not responding when I spoke to her since we could feel that.
I wanted to know what my connections are with Amoux. Is it we had sex when I was in the Nightwalker? But what about those werewolves who had sex, not with their mates? Did they feel a connection the same as my situation?
I know it's Amoux because my wolf keeps murmuring his name. My wolf was in pain after that.
“Ah! I don't have a dream man..” I lied.
“I won't believe you! A woman has a dream man. I want to be your dream man!”
Maybe, I should start dating someone. I know that Amoux is happy with his fated mate, and maybe I should need to find my mate too.
“I'm still waiting for my mate. I want to see him.”
“What if you didn't find your mate? I want to court you, let's date after the Alpha party!”
“Alpha Brandon, I will think about it, for now, let's talk about our packs again. Please stop changing the topic.”
“You're the only woman who keeps rejecting my offer! You're pushing me to pursue you more.”
“Alpha Brandon, please!”
He nodded and we continued to discuss everything in the pack. I don't see Almera and Kairo, and I know they were currently in their room doing something dirty!
What does it feel like to find a mate? I hope I can find my mate at the Alpha party!
“I will fetch you here.” Alpha Brandon needs to leave in my pack. I nodded at him and waved to him as a goodbye but I was shocked when I felt his lips on my forehead. He was too fast!
“Alpha Leah, I want to inform you that I'll visit you here again.”
Weeks passed, and this is the day of the Alpha party. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I was wearing a nude fitted gown. Almera chose this gown for me, I can hook up whoever I want. Seriously! Her reasons make me puke! I will attend the party not to hook up, but to have another alliance for the pack.
“Wow! You look stunning!” Alpha Brandon can't take his eyes away from me. We both attended the Alpha party with our Betas.
I was nervous that they wouldn't like me as the Alpha of the three pack, I saw how the people at the party looked at me.
“I am lucky that you chose me as your date.” I heard Alpha Brandon whisper. I rolled my eyes, does he forget that he forced me to his date at this party?
“Alpha Brandon, I recalled that I didn't choose you as my date. You force me to be your partner. As if I had a choice!”
“Haha, yeah! I remembered!” I saw his cheeks turn crimson, he looked away like he was a shame.
“You're too beautiful, Alpha Leah.” I closed my eyes when he slowly caressed my cheeks.
“The Lycans are here!” I heard someone shout. My heart was beating fast and I stopped myself to look at the front door.
“I know that the Lycans will attend this party! But I don't like them.” Alpha Brandon says.
‘I don't like them either!’ I wanted to tell it to Alpha Brandon but I know he will be curious if I do that. I smell a sweet smell, it's like vanilla. My eyes stopped at Amoux, and I was surprised that he was staring at me too.
“MATE!!”
