Leah point of view…
I massaged my forehead due to the mountain of paperwork I had to read in the Alpha Office, and since the last time I spoke to Almera, I noticed that she was trying to restrain herself from being overly protective of me. Being the Alpha is no joke; I was exhausted from my chair. Salute to the three Alphas if they're still alive; I can't imagine how stressed up they must be managing a pack.
Ahhh! How long do I need to read the three packs' performance standards? I spent a few days in the hospital, so my break didn't happen as planned!
As soon as I heard a knock, I turned to face the door. I felt so much hooking that I almost lost my balance on the chair. Ah! My back aches so badly!
My three Betas walked into my office as soon as the door opened. Their expressions were solemn, as if something were wrong.
"Alpha, we received an invitation for you." The black card that Karen was clutching she handed to me. Oh! I took it and opened it right away. The meeting of all the Alphas in the world is being arranged by this invitation.
"You can bring us along with you. You need to bring your Beta with you.” Kairo says.
They shared a seat in the vacant chairs. I scowled as I wondered why they were supposed to stay in my office.
To grab their attention, I simply cough next to them. They shifted their attention to me right away.
"Don't you have something that you need to do in every pack house? You're not ordered to stay in my office." When Almera heard what I said, she scowled.
"Have you decided between the three of us who you want to attend that fun party with?" I finally found out the answer to Almera's constant question about why they wouldn't leave my office. I see, all right. They want to be a part of the celebration, so they won't leave if they don't hear my answer.
"You can all leave right away, while I'm deciding who I need to bring to the party." I continued reading the papers I needed to read, but after a while they still hadn't left my office.
"Okay. Who would like to accompany me?” As I knew they wouldn't leave my office if I didn't tell them who I was bringing to the party, I asked them and decided to give up. I know they want to hear today what decisions I made. I saw them slowly grinning at me.
“I want to come!”
"I want to."
“I'm the only one that you need to bring, my Alpha!”
I scratched the back of my neck when they both responded at once. Why should I even worry about the person I'll be with at the party? Argh!
“Okay, good. I will bring you everyone so that it is fair and there won't be any issues. I think that was the best option.” I plainly said, I'm too lazy to look at them because someone will be envious by the time I choose who to accompany me. Who decided I should have three Betas? Oh, how annoying!
"Woah, thank you Alpha!" Kairo
"You're the best Alpha." Karen
"I'm happy and excited! I will be looking for a single Alpha, and mingle with him." Kairo and I gave Almera a strange look as she spoke boldly. This biatch!
"I'm going to bring you along so you can assist me if anything goes wrong. I'm not suggesting that you enjoy yourself there." I declared emphatically and then took another look at the documents I had earlier been reading. I exhaled a sigh of relief when I felt them exit my office.
Thankfully, they made the decision to leave. Why are they bothering me for the party we're going to when they know I'm doing too much? I started to breathe erratically since what I was reading gave me such a headache!
"Alpha, the Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack, has arrived." Using the mindlink, I overheard Almera say. Damn! I failed to remember that the Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack had a meeting with me!
“Almera, just allow him in. Tell our cook to make a snack for our visitor, please.”
I didn't bother getting dressed because I didn't have to appear acceptable in front of the Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack. When the door opened, I stopped and looked through it and noticed a man with blue eyes. His breathtakingly beautiful appearance almost made me gasp.
He is the Crescent Moon Pack's Alpha, right? Since I assumed it was the old man, I didn't bother to clean myself. How embarrassing!
The man gave me a blank look before nodding. I noticed another man approaching him, so I assume it's his Beta.
"We are here because we have a meeting with the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack." I stared at him gravely as he talked to me in a frigid voice. Do I not look like the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack?
I pointed with my finger the plaque on my desk that has my name engraved on it. They both frowned as if they had been unable to realize that a woman could manage three packs.
"I am the Red Moon Pack's Alpha. Who do you think will be Alpha?” I raised an eyebrow in their direction when I noticed the blue-eyed man blushing. When I noticed how red his ears were getting, I laughed. He cast his eyes away from me.
"Sorry, we mistakenly believed you to be the Luna of this pack."
"I am the Luna of this pack, too."I pointed to where the chairs were so they could sit.
While his Beta was only standing at the door keeping an eye on things, the Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack sat down. I couldn't help but cast a glance in the direction of the Beta who was standing at the door. Okay, he's attractive, he has a powerful figure, and he has lovely lips that are enjoyable to kiss. Sh*t! Is this what happened after a few months of celibacy?
"Ehem!" I glanced at Alpha when I heard his fake cough. He frowned and I saw Beta come out of my office. It seems the Alpha commanded his Beta to come out first so we could talk.
“I'm Brandon Craig, the Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack. I went here to have a talk with the Alpha of this pack. I didn't even think that the Alpha of the three packs was a woman." He started. His face was serious so I looked at him blankly
“Based on what I remembered, only our members of the three pack knew that I am the Alpha. I don't even announce this outside of my packs because my Beta always came to the meeting for me. I think it is not necessary if you all know that there was only a woman who handled these three packs.
“You don't have to conceal your attractiveness inside your pack; they must be aware of this.”
"Alpha Brandon, what you say astounds me." Because of what I had heard from Alpha Brandon, I pretended to chuckle.
I am aware that many Alphas that seek a mate are Alpha Females. Since I'm not a moron, I can read Alpha Brandon, and I know exactly why he's pursuing me.
“Oh, I didn't mean to catch you off guard, but I truly don't think it's possible that you are the Alpha of the three packs. I'm lining up ahead of time because by the time several Alphas see you, you might be competing for it."
“Alpha Brandon—”
“I doubt you had a date for the upcoming Alpha party yet. If you'd like, I'll take you with me to the party."
"I have no idea how to respond because I didn't even read the part about requiring a date to attend the party."
"Because I haven't asked you to be my girlfriend yet, please don't make it difficult for you to accept my invitation. But I have no choice but to give in if you truly want to be my girlfriend."
“Haha, Alpha Bradon, I had no idea you were so arrogant!”
“Now you know about it. What's your decision? Is it a deal or no deal?” My eyes widened as I realized what he was doing now as he smirked at me, got to his feet, and proceeded towards me.
"What are you doing, Alpha Brandon!" I couldn't stop screaming because he might do something nasty to me inside my office.
“Relax, My Alpha. I just want to massage your shoulders. Stop panicking.”
“Oh, shut up!”
“I will stop if you agree to be my date at the party. Don't worry, I won't make out with you even when you beg for it.” Alpha Brandon went back to his seat. I can't believe what he says. Do I look like a slut to her? This asshole!
I swear even he is the last man in this world, I won't sex with him! What makes him think that he looks attractive in my eyes? Okay, he has blue eyes but it doesn't make him attractive!
“I thought you're here about our pack alliance but it seems you suddenly changed your agenda, Alpha Brandon.” I can't stop myself from feeling irritated by his actions. I remembered Damon, whenever I looked at Alpha Brandon.
“Ah! Yeah, I forgot about that. So you should accept me as your date! It will help our alliance.”
“Alpha Brandon.”
Alpha Brandon stood up, and walked towards the door. He opened the door and glanced at me.
“Alpha Leah, I smell the delicious meal that your cook prepared. You should eat with me, so we can know each other. If you don't want to eat with me, maybe you should be the one that I need to eat with.” My mouth hangs open after hearing his vulgarity. Damn this Alpha! I can't believe that he has the audacity to say it in front of my face.
“Eat with me, or I'll eat you. Choose wisely.”
