“A-Alpha Leah, what are they doing here?” I saw Alpha Brandon was behind Almera and Kairo. He was gazing at us while he had a worried face. He went towards me and gently checked me.
“I was the one who informed them that Alpha Leah was in the hospital.” Alpha Brandon says, then gently nods to Amoux and Damon.
“You don't need to inform them! They aren't welcome here in the Red Moon Pack!”
“Almera!” Kairo shouted at his mate, then tapped her shoulder like he was trying to comfort her. I know that seeing Amoux in the Red Moon Pack makes Almera panic. She didn't trust Amoux so much after what he did, after what the Nightwalker did to us.
“Leah is my mate! So, I don't have the right to know what happened to her!” Amoux grunted; I saw his eyes turn red like he was controlling himself not to attack Almera. He growled so loud, and I saw his canines slowly appear.
“AMOUX!” I shouted at him to make him stop doing what he was planning. He deliberately whimpered when he gazed at me. Amoux went closer to me, but his eyes gave Almera a thread.
Alpha Brandon coughed, then he held my hand, which Amoux growled in annoyance.
“What's happening, Alpha Leah?”
“Alpha Brandon, I am grateful you went here even though you had a hectic schedule, but I am fine. You don't need to worry about me.”
“You heard that Lycan, my Alpha Leah, was alright. You can leave it in our pack now.” Almera sarcastically says, I know she was pushing Amoux to do something nasty on her, or maybe, she was testing him.
“You don't have the right to talk to the successor of the Lycan King, Beta!” Damon's eyes reddened; he was too fast when he ran to Almera, but Amoux stopped him by touching his shoulder.
“Almera, you should be thankful that you're my mate's Beta, that you're her friend; I won't tolerate this kind of attitude towards me; I want you to remember that I am still the son of the Lycan King, and my father was the king of all the werewolves in the world.”
“Then, earn my respect, Sergio. I am acting like this because your pack was full of the selfish and asshole members I knew! How dare you threaten me as if you didn't even murder our Alphas here! I can't believe that all of the elders in the council didn't even investigate what the Nightwalker did in our pack! And that thing disgusts me with all of the Sergio's here in this world!”
“Don't make me a fool. Are you mad because I killed many people, or maybe, you're furious that I killed Alpha Rozen?”
Almera fell silent, but her cheeks were pinkish. Kairo's expression turned painful, and he moved away from Almera. He was hurt by what Amoux said.
“You don't know everything, Sergio!”
“I don't have plans to know everything if it includes you. Do you think I don't even know about Alpha Rozen? I was there when you two—”
“Amoux, will you please shut up?” I breathe out. And Alpha Brandon tapped my back as if he was calming me. “Amoux, I'm disappointed in you. You know that Kairo was here, and Alpha Rozen was part of her past. You don't need to say—” I didn't finish my word when Kairo walked out. Almera was scared, she glanced at me like she needed my permission to leave, so I nodded at her. Almera chases her mate. I know she loves Kairo, but she can't tell him directly.
There's a long silence in the room, and Damon is totally calmed down, unlike when Almera was here in the room.
“Alpha Brandon, did you bring the note they gave you?” Alpha Brandon took a small paper inside of his pocket. He immediately gave it to me, which made me smile. I know he wanted to ask about Amoux, but he chose to wait for me to tell him everything.
Alpha Leah is in the hospital now. If you don't want something terrible to happen to her again, marry her. A healer isn't for Sergio.
I think this is the Lycan Hector doings; the Nightwalker was the only one who knows I am a healer!
“At first, I didn't believe in that. I thought it was just a hoax, and I didn't need to take it seriously, but I discovered that you were rushed to the hospital. So, I quickly called Amoux Sergio to know what had happened since you talked to each other, right?”
“Alpha Brandon—” I stopped and eyed Amoux and Damon. “Can you give us some privacy? I want to talk to him in private.”
“You can communicate with him even though our presence was here, Leah! What's the matter?”
“Amoux, I want to talk with Alpha Brandon, just the two of us.”
“No! I know I should be grateful that he called me about what happened to you, but I can't accept that my mate wants to be alone with an Alpha.” Amoux decided to act like a spoiled child, his lips were in a straight line, and he even crossed his hands on his chest.
Why do I need to do this? Why was Amoux acting like this when in fact, he was getting married to Anaya? He didn't even inform his father or whole family that I was his true mate!
“Stop acting like this, Amoux! It's too annoying! You're so possessive of me, and you're choking me. You don't even mark me as your mate!” Amoux was stunned when I suddenly burst out.
“I will mark you, Leah! You're my mate, and you're that one I— I—” Amoux was stuttering; I saw his eyes gleam, but he looked down.
“Okay, I don't want to leave you alone because I know you liked him. Leah, I thought I was the only one you liked ever since. Did you think I didn't know that you two made out in the office when I went on the Red Moon Pack? Tell me, Leah! How will I feel assured that you two only talked here?”
“I am single, so I can do everything that I want. And fucking Alpha Brandon wasn't an exception. It's up to me, Amoux! Did you ever hear anything from me when Anaya sucked your dick?”
“So you're taking revenge on me, Leah! I did that because I thought that their pack hid you. She said you're captive by her father, and if I didn't obey her, she would kill you.”
“And now that you finally knew that I wasn't captive, you stop fucking at her. Is that right? You will be the Lycan King, Amoux. And a slutty woman blackmailed you, and you quickly obeyed her without investigating anything!”
“You speculated that Anaya was hidden from me without checking if it's true,” I added; I was hurt when Amoux blinked his eyes like he was preventing himself from crying again. He left the room without telling me, and Damon shook his head like he was disappointed with what I had done.
“Leah,” Damon called my name, so I gave my attention to him. He was displeased, and his eyes were sharp. “Leah, you keep blaming Amoux. He tried his best to find you; he searched for you day and night. He even went to a different pack, but he couldn't locate where you were. If you are Amoux, and you visited all of the groups, but your mate can't still be found? And if Anaya told you about that, would you ever believe in Anaya?”
“If your answer is no, good for you. But, Amoux was so scared that you might be dead. And the only pack that he didn't visit at that time was Anaya's family pack; that's why he immediately assumed that you were there. That's what he did.” Damon followed Amoux outside of the room. I shut my eyes several times when Alpha Brandon sat beside me.
“I agreed to them, even though I was slightly hurt that you are his mate. Leah, don't be like this in your mate. I know that he loves you, don't get me wrong. I still want you; I love you, but I don't want to be the villain in your eyes. I may be, love you, but I am here as your friend too.”
“You should listen to your mate. But I am not forcing you to do that; this is my advice. But I will tell you that once he turned you, I was here to catch you even though I knew in the end I was the one who would get hurt. I am here beside you and supporting you for everything you want.”
“I want you to be happy, even if it's not me.” My eyes moistened for what Alpha Brandon had confessed. I don't know why the Moon Goddess gave Alpha Brandon to me, but I know that he will give his support to me.
