Birthday
I stood up properly, I'm wearing cut out side bodycon that was evident my side boobs. With an index finger, I curl my hair.
"Kanina mo pa ako hinihintay?" Hailey asked and laughed while hugging me.
I was about to rolled my eyes but she already pouted so never mind, She's too cute to be kill. She's wearing a simple white dress and a flat shoes. Not unlike mine, I'm wearing a high heels and a very revealing dress.
I sighed "They already inside but I'm almost 5 minutes waiting here for my cousin," I sarcastically said.
I held my wrist watch and looked at it. I'm right, I'm almost 5 minutes waiting for her.
She slapped me a bit in my arms. Hindi naman masakit pero automatic na umirap ako sa kawalan. Narinig ko pa ang pagtawa niya ng mahina bago kumapit sa braso ko.
"Grabe ka naman it's just 5 minutes! Kala mo naman pinaghintay kita ng mahigit ilang oras!" Balik niya sa akin, Laughing while slapping my arm.
I rolled my eyes "Whatever,"
We started walking. I walked like a model so we're getting others attention because I was probably in my noisy heels. May kumakaway pa sa amin kaya nginingitian ko na lang sila. Even their face are not familiar to me. I still smiled cause why not?
"Chave!" Hailey shouted.
We wave our hands as a greeting.
"Bobo kayo! ba't ang tagal n'yo?" salubong sa amin ni Chave.
I looked at the girls around him they just look like a flirt. Oh, no offense.
"We're not bobo, Chave." I said and rolled my eyes.
Chave chuckled "Okay edi obob na lang. Oh, ba't ngayon lang kayo mga obob?" Pilosopong tanong niya.
"Naipit lang sa traffic, Chave. Tara na nasaan na ba si Lonch?" Hailey said and looked around.
Chave nodded "Bakit hindi ka napirat kung naipit ka?"
I stare at Chave, He's being a pilosopo na naman.. such a weird guy.
"Are you really our cousin Chave?" I asked.
Hailey laughed "He's always like that Heart,"
Nandidiri kong tiningnan ang pinsan ko na magkabila ang hawak sa dalawang babae na nasa tabi niya. A flirt one too.
"Oh, Chave Eliziar Nazario the great philosopher," I teased.
Chave chuckled "Oh, Poena Heart Nazario the great brat," He fired me back.
I glared at him, I admit that his gray eyes can make girl worship him. He's too handsome reason why I can't blame some girls for liking him!
"Shut up, Chave. Just go with your girls," I said and rolled my eyes.
I sat down at couch, where Chave sitting earlier. Hailey also sat beside me still looking around for the birthday boy.
"Let's find Lonch, Heart. Bigay na natin 'tong regalo," sabi niya.
She even lifted the paper bag she had, so I was able to look at the paper bag I held. I'm not sure if Lonch will like my gift or not but atleast I made an effort.
"Let him come to us, Hailey. I don't want to stand up.. tinatamad ako maglibot-libot dito. Their house is too big," I complained.
Nagdekwatro ako at pinatong ang paper bag sa aking gilid. The others are smiling at me so that I was returning it to them. I also crossed my arm over my chest and took a deep breath.
"Oh come on! Don't be like that, Heart. Malamang nasa pool area 'yun," she shrugged "Let's go," she stood up.
She even held me, Tamad akong nagpahila sa kaniya. Ah! I hate it!
"Oh dear Hailey! Just wait," I grabbed the paper bag I had. "You're too excited masyado mo bang namiss 'yang si Lonch mo?" I rolled my eyes.
Hailey giggled "Of course, I do! Bakit kasi hindi ka ulit magjowa para maexcite ka rin minsan no?" She sarcastically said.
Because of Hailey's loud voice some visitors looked at us. I felt like my face turned to red! It looks like Hailey announce that I'm a single!
I held Hailey's hand and grabbed it "Come on, Your mouth is like a microphone!" I iritated said.
Naglakad kami papunta sa pool area. As usual some of them are greeting us. I just nodded and gave them a small smile.
"Oh! My baby is here!" Lonch sweetly said when he saw Hailey beside me.
I chuckled bitterly "Happy birthday," I lazily said.
Inabot ko sa kaniya ang regalo ko, I'm not literally sure if he gonna like what I bought.
"Happy birthday! Love. Here's my gift!" Hailey said, sweetly.
Lonch nodded "Thanks, Heart!" Kinuha niya ang paper bag sa akin at kay Hailey. "Thanks! Baby," He said at Hailey.
"Your welcome," Hailey said while blushing.
I watched them hugging and flirting or whatever. Akala naman hindi nagkita kahapon kung makapagyakapan! I no longer bother interrupts any more of their talk.
I sat in the lounge chair while crossing my legs. I also barely crossed my arms across my chest. I took a deep breath while roaming around.
Maarte kong hinawi ang buhok ko. I examined this pool area. It's a pool party? Oh yes, I guess.
"Heart! Mag-iikot-ikot kami ni Lonch. You want to go with us?" Hailey asked.
I shook my head "As if I want to be a third wheel. Of course not..just go," taboy ko.
Hailey laughed "Ang sabihin mo you're just lazy, Whatever."
They turned and walked away, I just watched them while they did it. They been two years together? I'm not sure pero ang alam ko mahigit isang taon na silang magkasama.
Sa hindi kalayuan ay natanaw ko pa ang iba kong pinsan na kumakaway sa gawi ko. I just rolled my eyes reason why they laughed. Maybe sanay na sila sa gan'tong ugali ko kaya pinagtawanan na lang nila ako?
I want to talk to them and make some chika but I don't want too. Nakakatamad lang talaga tumayo at maglakad.
"Come here, Heart!" Sele Shouted.
I shook my head and rolled again my eyes. I really don't want!
They laughed because of what I did. I don't know, why? Bakit sa aming magpipinsan ay ako lang ang gan'to? Lahat naman sila parang baliw at weird pero ako gan'to na.. I mean what's wrong with me?
"Such a brat!" Neejan Shouted, Announced? "Let's go," He command.
Napaayos ako ng upo ng mapagtanto na palapit sila sa akin. I stood up and hugged them.
"Sele, You're too loud," I said and hugged her.
"She is," Neejan interrupt.
I looked at him using my disgusting look "What's with that hickey?" I asked while pointing his neck.
Lami laughed "Oh he's always have that Heart! He said it's a mosquito bite,"
"Guys, Don't ask me too much question. It's just style!" Neejan said.
"Yeah, It's style. Look at mine," Denver proudly said while pointing his finger in his jaw.
I swallowed hard "And you both proud, huh?"
Neejan and Denver laughed and nodded, Nag-apir pa sila na para bang mga tanga.
"By the way, We're going upstairs. D'on muna kami tatambay sa isang guest room nila Lonch. Hailey is with his boyfriend so do you want to come with us?" Sele asked.
I immediately shook my head "No, I'm going to stay here," pag-tanggi ko.
I don't want to spend my time there upstairs while staring at their white ceiling! Mas ayos pa sa akin dito dahil for sure mas mag-eenjoy ako.
"Oh sige, Akyat na kami," paalam ni Sele.
I looked at my cousins who wave their hands at me like a goodbye gesture. I just nodded and smiled. I returned to sitting in the lounge chair I could still hear a whistling of some boys and winking at me.
"Heart, Hailey said na pupunta s'ya d'on sa guest room kasama 'yung iba n'yong pinsan. She said go there and make some fun with them," Lonch said.
I craned my neck to see a better vision of the guy beside him. He's folding his long sleeve polo shirt to elbow. He stroke his finger to his hair. His head lifted and I can sense the superior look that he had. His dark eyes give peaceful but it seems something different. It seems like when you look at his eyes sooner or later you can immediately melt like an ice.
I don't know but my heart started to beats faster. My chest is pounding so hard. I can't speak even I want to.
Seeing this guy made me froze! Seeing this guy made me speechless! He's very attractive.. good-looking.
"Magen.. let me introduce to you my girlfriend's cousin and bestfriend. This is Heart," sabay turo sa akin ni Lonch.
Magen? What a beautiful name!
Magen nodded and smiled a bit, he force his smile! He examined my looked and what I'm wearing. I smile at him but he just raised his brows and shook his head like I dissapoint him.
I took a deep breath "Poena Heart," I introduced and handed my hand.
My heart is going crazy, I think wala na sa tamang pagtibok sa puso ko? When our eyes met I felt like a bomb immediately explode inside my body.
He stare at my hand, Medyo na ngangawit narin ang kamay ko at kung hindi pa siya sisikuhin ni Lonch ay hindi niya pa ata tatanggapin ang kamay ko.
"Dawn Magen," He introduced using his husky and super manly voice.
Dawn where a daylight first begin. Parang nagpalakpakan ang mga ulap dahil sa kaunting pagsilay ng ngiti sa akin.
I giggled, I didn't allowed myself to release his hand. When he notice it ay nagsalubong na ang kilay niya. Inangat ko pa ang isang kamay para mapigilan ang pagkawala ng kamay niya.
"What the hell is your problem? Let go of my hand," He said with frustration voice.
I chuckled "You can call me Heart or Poena," I said.
Hindi ko siya nilalayuan ng tingin. Nakikita ko sa aking peripheral view si Lonch na pinapanood kami at umiling-iling na tumalikod at iniwan kami.
My smile widely "But you can also call me mine," I sweetly said.
I made a puppy eyes and bit my lower lips. He just sighed.. still with a furrowed brows.
He raised his brows and shook his head "H'wag ako, Miss," He slapped careful my hand.
I shook my head and giggle "It's Heart, Poena or Mine," Pagtatama ko.
I let go of his arm, Agad niyang nilagay sa loob ng magkabilang bulsa ang parehong kamay at nakangisi habang umiiling-iling.
He raised his hand and chuckled "Gotta go," sabay ngisi niya pa.
I panicked and grabbed his arm. His lips parted when he looked at me. I smiled sweetly and shook my head.
"Don't go away," I almost begged.
I shook my head and snaked my arm around his waist. I don't know why I'm acting like this.
He sighed out of frustration "Hey, Let go of me. Hindi na ako natutuwa, Heart,"
Hinigpitan ko lang ang pagyakap. Without any embarassment I lifted my head in his chest. His manly scent! His amazing scent punching my nose! It's smell so nice.
"I'm not joking to make you laugh," sabi ko.
He held my arm, parang may kuryente na dumaloy sa buong katawan ko ng dumampi ang kan'yang kamay sa aking braso.
"Are you flirting with me?" He asked still with a irritated voice.
I shrugged and hold him tight "If you say so," I giggled.
"Oh c'mon, I'm not into a flirty woman like you. So let go of me and find some guy who can entertain you," he mouthed.
I lifted my head to see his reaction. Nakakunot lang ang noo niya habang nililibot ang tingin na para bang balisa siya.
I shook my head "I'm not a flirt to go and talk to a random guy," I explained.
He chuckled and remove my arm for hugging him "But you acted and dress like you are,"
Napaayos ako sa pagkakatayo. Our eyes met but I can sense the irritation on it. Parang kinukurot naman ang puso ko dahil sa paratang niya. I didn't even bother to approach some guys! It's only him.
Siya palang ang nagsita sa suot ko. I mean some of my guy friends are praising me whenever I wear a dress like this even my cousin! They said that I look hot with my dress!
"What's wrong with my dress?" I raised my brows.
He shrugged and avoid my gaze "I can see your boobs, Heart," he said.
"It's only side boobs, Magen"
I touched my chest but he already slapped my hand.
"Stop it, Heart. Maraming nakakakita sa mga ginagawa mo. Can you please act like a real woman?" he annoyed said.
I stroke my fingers in my hair "What's wrong with you?" natatawang tanong ko.
He sighed "Just stay away from you,"
"But I liked you," I confess.
His lips parted, Hindi ko naman masyadong nilakasan ang pagkakabigkas no'n pero tama lang para marinig niya.
Umayos siya ng pagkakatayo at hinarap ako. I can sense his intense gaze that can make my heart fluttered so real.
"But I hate you," he seriously said diretcly in my eyes.
Para namang kinukurot ang puso ko dahil sa binitawan niyang salita. It looks like he slapped me the whole world.
"I don't care basta I liked you," I bit my lower lips.
He sighed "I don't care too basta I hate you," He fired me back.
His eyes telling me that he really hate me but why? I mean wala naman akong ginawang masama sa kaniya. I just hugged him and hold his hand for a minutes!
He turned his back and walked away, My ears is filled with my pounding chest. I held my chest and close my eyes. Yeah.. I guess many bombs explode on my body! I bit my lower lips when I realized that he rejected me?
Does Poena Heart Nazario who was spoiled for almost twenty three years of existence and chased by many men was easily rejected by that guy? that Dawn Magen?
