The drive home was tense and unpleasant, an uncomfortable silence that neither of them made any effort to break. Each of them was lost in their thoughts and Bella promptly faced her side of the screen.
Her thoughts were in shambles and inwardly she was berating herself, why didn't she tell him? She was presented with the opportunity to tell him every but instead, she shied away like a coward and now, she only has herself to blame for any repercussions.
"We are home" his voice penetrated her fogged mind and she blinked as she glanced around, there were indeed home. Without saying a word to him, she stepped out of the car and had only taken a couple of steps when she was stopped on her track.
Two policemen were standing outside Daniel's house and approached them when they sighted her and Daniel. She has a strange feeling that this wasn't a cordial visit
"Mr Klaus" one of them called and Daniel raised a brow at them
"Yes, that's me, what is going on?"
The policeman turned and stared at Bella, "Are you Bella Winston?"
"Bella Winston Calvin, she is my wife. What is going on?" Daniel replied before Bella could
"I'm sorry Mr. Klaus but we have an arrest warrant for Bella Winston," one of the police said and the other went to cuff her
"What the hell are you doing officer? What's her crime?"
"She's being charged for the murder of one Mr. Santi Madison"
The blood drained from Bella's face, that Ana's cousin, "I didn't mean to do it, it was self-defense"
"You'll answer to that in the court of law"
Daniel's gaze held disbelief as he stared at her, "Why Bella? Why?"
He asked softly and tears rolled down her cheeks, "believe me, I was only defending myself, the guy tried to take advantage of me"
"I know you won't lie but why didn't you confide in me?"
"I'm sorry, forgive me" she cried as she was being led away
Daniel was hurt that she hadn't told him but he was more furious to see her being led away like a common criminal, her teary eyes sought his as she entered into the police Van
He was shocked that his innocent-looking wife could have murdered someone, how many more secrets was she keeping from him?
He brought out his phone and dialed his lawyer's number, his lawyer is the best in the country and he knew that this case would be a piece of cake for him
"Hello, my wife was arrested just now, she has been accused of murder and I want you to get her out of there. I don't care what method you will use or how much it will take, just get her out of there" he ordered.

Brittany felt like doing all the house chores, she had asked the cleaning lady that Aaron had hired not to come so that she would do the cleaning herself, she felt bored just being in the house all day and doing nothing.
After doing the laundry, she started cleaning the whole house, she bent down to wipe off the dust on the television stand and suddenly felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen, since she woke up, it had been from one chore to the other as she asked the house helps that Aaron had hired to come.
She decided to take a break but as she sat on the sofa, she felt something wet run down her legs and she looked down to see blood, what the hell, she was bleeding, she had just entered her second trimester and she shouldn't be bleeding.
"My baby, I don't want to lose my baby" she cried as pain shot up her spine, ignoring the pain, she rushed to get her phone and dialed Aaron's number
"I...I... I'm bleeding, I think I'm losing my baby" she cried into the receiver as soon as he picked up
"What!" Aaron cried out, "Hang in there, I'm coming" he hung up and left the office immediately, "cancel all my appointments for today until tomorrow," he told the secretary as he rushed past her.
Aaron flew across the road with his car, not caring that he could incur a speeding ticket.
He met her lying on the floor with blood stains all over, quickly taking her in his arms, he rushed her to the hospital.

The baby was safe and so was Brittany but Aaron was angry with her, she had almost miscarried for crying out loud and it was because of her stubbornness.
"Why the hell won't you just behave like a good pregnant wife?" He fumed as soon as they were left alone, "What the hell were you thinking when you decided to stress yourself like that? Who asked you to do the house chores?"
"Aaron please..."
"You could have lost the baby, damnit" Aaron yelled, cutting her off
"I know and I'm sorry, I was just bored and wanted to do something" she cried
Aaron sighed, trying to reign in his anger, "You have to rest, rest for your sake and the sake of the baby and I will provide anything that you need. That was all I asked and you can't even do it" his voice was slow and precise as he glared at her on the bed
Tears ran down her cheeks, "I didn't know this would happen, I didn't want it to happen either"
Aaron sighed and sat beside her on the bed, "you should not have told the house help not to come, given your condition, you should avoid anything stress"
"I know that you are only worried about your child, I'm sorry Okay, I promise to be very careful next time"
Aaron glanced at her thoughtfully, "I am not just worried about my child, I am worried about you too"
Her face lit up as she stared at him, "really?"
"Of course, you are the mother of my unborn child" Her face fell at his words
"Oh, just that?"
Aaron chuckled and took her hands in his, "I will die if anything happens to you and that is not just because you are the mother of my baby, it's because I love you"
"You do?" Tears brim in her eyes, "Do you really love me? What about your wife? You were still carrying her picture around in your wallet"
"Then you must not have noticed that the picture I am now carrying around in my wallet is yours" he replied as he brought out his wallet and showed her a picture of hers that he had secretly taken, "my wife is dead and I have said my goodbyes to her, I think she will be happy for me too"
"Oh Aaron, you don't know how much I have longed for this day, I love you too"
"Now, you just have to get proper rest, and take care of yourself and our baby"
Brittany nodded, smiling through her tears, her wishes had finally come through, being loved by the man she loves.

Daniel decided to visit the parents of the dead boy that Bella was accused of killing, he wanted to make sure that Bella would never be bothered again in the future because of that, he could have asked someone to do it but his gut feeling wanted him to meet the parents himself, find out what they're like and if they know that their son tried to rape his wife.
This was Bella's hometown, he could ask about who Jeremy was, and that way, he would find out what secret his wife was keeping from him.
He met Santi's relations, his mom, aunt, and a girl who seemed to be about Bella's age, she said her name was Ana,
"Is Bella alright?" She rushed to ask as soon as he introduced himself as Bella's husband
"She should rot in hell for all I care" Ana's mother rushed to say and then stared at Daniel, "I am sorry to have spoken that way about your wife but..."
"Were you aware that your nephew tried to rape her and she killed him out of self-defense? Besides, I do not think she did it on purpose"
"After what she did with Jeremy, acting slutty for that boyfriend of hers for every eye to see, I think she is capable of anything"
"Mother!" Ana cried but got shushed by her mother
Daniel stilled, "Jeremy? Who is he?"
"He was her boyfriend, those two certainly set the internet on fire"
"Bella loved and trusted him, you can't blame her for loving him that much, they were supposed to get married," Ana said and Daniel's brow furrowed, things were getting really interesting
"How can I find the Jeremy guy? What is his last name?" Daniel asked
"Jeremy Campbell, he is very easy to find, I am pretty sure that he is still with your wife, if I were you, I wouldn't trust her that much" Ana's mother said.
Daniel thanked them for the info, gave them enough money to last them a last time, and told them never to bother his wife again.
