Leo had his suspicions about his release, so he decided not to go back to his grandmother's house, though he knows that Tangy won't be there anymore, since he was arrested and didn't come back to her, she would have fled to.
He went back to his family, only to meet his wife with one of the palace guard in bed, he was furious, he shape change immediately, ready for a fight. He grabbed the guard and threw him off through the window, and he hut his back hard on the floor, before he had the chance to shape shift, Leo was already on him, scratching him with his claws and paws. Slapping him with his long nails, which only arouse scream from Medline.
She had thought that he would be in the palace dungeon for a long time, she never thought that he would be released just like that and without announcement, she too have been carried away by what she was doing that she didn't sense him coming.
She still took the defensive tone, when she got dressed, she ran outside, before her, others have gathered, and she was surrounded by the women of the pack.
They all had things to say, they were blaming her.
"He started it, so I just decided to pay him back in his own coin". She says, but no one wanted to listen to her.
"As a woman, you have no right to cheat on your husband because he cheated, after all, he could have more than one woman if he wants, but he has been with you all this while, yet you think cheating on him is the ideal thing to do? One of the old women said, while another didn't allow her land, before she took it from her.
"If every woman is like you, trying to get back at their husbands for cheating on them, then, the women at the palace would have done that". Medline had answers for them.
"They hid their feelings, their true feelings wasn't reviewed, and that was why Tangy killed her, to take her space". She just didn't want to give up, they even forgot that Leo could kill the guard he was fighting, but because of their ability to heal, no one looked his way, they know he would be wounded, and then he will gradually heal.
The noise continued, and soon, it was as though the entire town gathered round them.
Leo was pushed to leave the house, he didn't at first want to go to his grandmother's house, but since he couldn't stay in the same space with Medline, he had to go there, but he was very careful, not to call her name, hoping that she would be hiding somewhere, so that no one sees her. He sat on the floor, when he heard noises in the wood, why his grandmother have to come live in a lonely place like that alone still baffles him, but the noise was coming from the kitchen inside, he became all the more worried, he wanted to rush to the kitchen, before his door opened with force, and some guards walked in.
"You cannot just come here like that, you should be after Medline, not me".
He wanted to buy time, so that if Tangy is the one in the kitchen, she could make a run for it.
"We are not after you Leo, we want to know if Blair's murderer is here? one of the guards says, and made to move further inside, but he blocked him.
"No one is here, this is my granny's house, go away". He says, his fears increased, as he could hear the person coming out of the kitchen, but it turns out to be his grandma, she had a pistol with her, and she speaks slowly, she doesn't shape change anymore if she is angry, but whenever her something gets her angry, it unleashes her inner dragon, which is truely fierce some, no one will go near her, if she is angry.
The guards stepped back, wondering if they should go ahead and search the house or not.
"What is the noise about, and Leo, what are you doing here? She asked, but before he could answer, she spoke up again.
Did you run away from the palace? Leo was so angry, he glared at her, she is his grandmother, she should be looking out for him, but they have never really liked each other, and she isn't even trying to pretend Infront of people.
"I didn't run away grandmother, they released me". He says.
"Then why are they after you? She asked, the guards were still there, contemplating on the action to take.
"They think Tangy is here". He says, how he hates to answer his grandmother, but since he would rather talk with her, than with those annoying guards, he could endure.
"Why will a murderer be here? She asked, then she added.
I have been back from my brother's place for the past two days now and I have been alone here, with the spirits of my ancestors, if she is found around here, she would be dead by now". He says, then she added again.
But you are welcomed to search". The guards didn't see the point, they just left, while Leo and his grandmother started arguing.
Leo felt like killing her, she was always ready to point fingers at him and blame him for everything, she even blames him for the death of his parents, who went to fight for Demini, how could she be so mean.
"You know you cannot stay in my house, so you better go back from wherever it is you came from". She says, while the guards who were still finding their way out of the bush heard her and started laughing, but as soon as she was sure that they were all gone, she stopped talking, and watched her grand son closely.
Leo really didn't want to go back to the house, but since his grandmother is back, he would have to go back, but as soon as he got to the door, he heard another voice, which certainly, doesn't belong to his grandmother, he turned, only to find Tangy, standing close to the old woman.
"She put up all of that, so that they could leave, I never knew she was this sweet.
That k you granny". Tangy says, and Leo lightened up, ran to give her a big hug, when he disengaged, he hugged his grandmother for the very first time, in a very long time.
"Thank you grandma".
