There are things that no one will probably tell you about my brother, but I will tell you. For years, Barthur has tormented us, he has taken away things from us, because he knows that I cannot kill him, he keeps doing the same thing, taking away our assets from us, and our people have tried fighting him with so much valor, but lost. I believe that today, we can actually be something, we fight him together".
"Why couldn't you kill him? Jayden asked, wondering what is so hard in killing someone, who was tormenting them.
"He is my brother, I couldn't kill him, even if I wanted to kill him, I still couldn't kill him, he is super powerful and he is my blood, but I guess now, I might have to do what is best for Demini, shifting Sentiments aside". He responded.
"Just how powerful is Barthur? He asked .
"He is very powerful, more powerful, than one can imagine. He is the real definition of power, Some times I fear that no one might be able to defeat him". He spoke dejectedly.
"That should not be a problem, I am going to have to see Sodom, there are a few things I need to ask him". He says, then after a long silence, he added.
Do you still love my mother? That was a question he didn't expect that Jayden would ask him, they haven't even discussed the women in their lives. He haven't asked him how he was coping with three women in his life, so why would he ask him.
If you don't feel comfortable to answer, I can understand". He added, but he raised his hands and shook his head.
"No son, I should answer you. I don't love her, she is no longer a problem in my love, I don't even think about her anymore". He stared at his son as if that was supposed to hurt him, so he added.
But you were formed out of love, but I guess we fall out of love, and I did, after a long time without her".
"Then why did you respond to her kiss? He asked, wanting to understand him better.
"Just the way you kissed Tangy because she begged you to, even when you don't love her, that is the same way I kissed her, for I thought that was something I should do, to save her from hurting so much". He replied.
"I did kiss Tangy, and she is very knowledgeable about the fact that I don't love her, I wish I could love her, but she knows that I don't, and she is willing to just stay beside, but Mogana doesn't know that you don't love her anymore, she believes that, since you could kiss her back, then you do love her, or there is still a soft spot in your heart for her". He didn't say anything, he just nodded, as to say that was his bad.
They were still talking, when they heard the noise of the palace guard, rushing towards them.
"What is the problem? Why are you running like you just saw my late parents? He added.
The guard had difficulty catching his breath, but he still tried catching them, while he made his speech clear.
"Your brother, he was in the palace, he blew a powdered substance in the air, and everyone turned into stone, even your the Queen". Arthur could not believe his ears, he was about to rush to the venue, but his son stopped him.
"Stay back father, let me go". He tells him, but he couldn't just stay and do nothing, so he grabbed his knife and raced further, he caught up with Jayden, and even ran past him.
Jayden was trying to get him to stop, but he had already changed to his wolf form, so that he could run faster. There were so many wolves running towards the same area. In their wolf form, he couldn't turn them to a wolf, and that was why, the guard was able to escape to tell them. Before Jayden got to the hall, where Barthur is, he was stopped by a wolf. He couldn't speak to him, because he was in his wolf form, but Jayden read his mind.
"Don't go in there, in your human form!.
"Jayden didn't listen, his father is already in there, and Blair that is a human is there too, how will he do it, he will never forgive himself, if anything ever happens to her.
He opened the door, and found his father fighting his brother, who is supposed to be his uncle.
As soon as Jayden walked in, Arthur tried to protect him, from being touched by the powder, but he was too late, Barthur blew the powder, but strangely, he was untouched. Jayden just dusted his body, while walking straight to his uncle.
"Don't you know what this suit cost in the market? He threw Barthur off to the other side, and one of the werewolves that have been turned to stone, broke into ashes.
Jayden jumped on his uncle, hitting his face, until he was all bloody.
It kept feeling like he was hitting his own father, for they look so much alike, but he also kept remembering his words, that they shouldn't dwell on sentiments, he hit him, till he heard a sound.
Barthur was laughing at him. He was laughing in an annoying way, that he got even more furious, and hit him the more, till Barthur spat on him, and while he was trying to wipe the spit off, Barthur escaped, but his voice could still be heard.
"All those that have turned to stone can never be brought back. They will remain like that, for ages to ages". His voice echoed and soon, he disappeared. Those in the wolf form turned back, and started hailing Jayden.
"Truely, you are the one spoken of". Many of them cheered, while his father hugged him with tears.
"Why are you crying father? He asked him and that was when he pointed at the Stony image, in all her elegance and beauty, she was just a stone. And even in that form, she was still looking as beautiful.
Jayden nodded understandable, before speaking up.
"Summon every one in this palace, and beyond this palace, we need to have an urgent meeting". While his order was being carried out, he kept looking round for Blair, but then the chamber opened, and she walked out with Astra and Tangy. They were not touched by the plague, but many have been affected.
Upon seeing Blair, he forgot that others existed, he hugged her passionately, which only angered Astra and Tangy the more, and they started nursing evil for her.
