" Ready?", Emily asked me, eyeing her own handwork on me proudly. I was wearing a blue short gown to go on my first blind date. After I left Lorenzo's home last night, I came back to find Emily and cried all over my heart out, whinny about how Lorenzo had someone else in his heart. Among everything, my nut best friend had found only one solution to move on from Lorenzo___ a date.
Though I had zero interest on this matter, Emily arranged the man without listening to me. She knew this guy through her common friend who was looking for potential girlfriend. I didn't know anything else about the guy but moving on was also important for me. So, I agreed in the morning and planned to try on my luck.
After grabbing my purse, I spoke with hesitation,
" But Emily...I..I am pregnant...Did you tell him this? How will he react if he finds it later?"
Emily rolled her eyes at me, blurted with annoyance,
" Oh come on! Val! It's not like you fucked and got pregnant. What's the big deal? Jason is a kind guy. I bet that he wouldn't mind at all."
I smiled a little but a part of me felt empty without emotions. It was a feeling as if I was cheating on Lorenzo King.
Fuck! I had to remove him from my mind!

" Thank you!", I smiled at the guy named Jason who pulled out the chair for me. Grabbing my hand, he pecked on my palm before telling with a smile,
" Anything for the beautiful, Valentina!"
I was quite surprised to find that Jason was actually a rich guy. At least, I was sure when I arrived at the five star restaurant not to mention that he wore a rich tuxedo. No wonder, Emily was persistent to send me in this date.
To be honest, Jason was handsome as well but had a different vibe than Lorenzo. While Lorenzo possessed the aura of supremacy, Jason gave a cool vibe, friendly and easy going.
Jason cleared his throat as he began to speak with a smile,
" Argh..I suck on blind date, trust me. Anyways, let me introduce myself first, Jason Howard, a player by passion and soon to be CEO by force."
I laughed at his odd way of introducing. Shaking hands together, I replied politely,
" Valentina Avery, currently a student and working on a clothing store. Nice to meet you, Jason!"
Jason commented, dimming his sight at me a little,
" I didn't know that you are so beautiful."
I returned a small smile but the comment failed to make me happy like Lorenzo did.
