After a moment of awkwardness, Jason finally shook his head, saying nothing. However, his expression didn't match his words. He appeared shocked then sad and somehow disappointed. He stayed for more than ten minutes, then got off to leave, claiming that he got an emergency message to leave. But I was asked to eat the food, using my own time.
Sighing, I could only focus on my food as Lorenzo didn't see around. As soon as Jason left the spot, his voice grew up behind my back again, leaving me stiff at my chair,
" Your little boyfriend left you because of that one single hickey?"
I snapped my head aside to see Lorenzo walking over to my table with a graceful smile. He took the empty spot in front of me, wearing that one kinky, bastard smile. Realization knocked me hard as I choked on my food, touching the place where he had kissed me before. I stuttered on my words,
" You.. don't tell me, you left a mark there?"
He admitted shamelessly,
" I did..so what?"
Anger flared up inside me. No wonder, Jason was giving me such obvious looks as if I was some secret agent. He must be thinking that I was the sort of whore who made out everywhere. I stood up in a shot, slamming my hand on the table,
" You are an asshole, Lorenzo!!! Fucking Asshole!!! How dare you embarrass me in front of others!! You...Do not ever come to me!!"
I was already rushing to the exit when Lorenzo caught up with me. He grabbed my hands not too harsh and spoke grimacing,
" What did you expect from me, Valentina that I will come to congratulate the two of you? Fucking NO!! You are mine!! You should go back to me before I will go real mad!!"
I scoffed back in return, crossing my arms over my chest,
" Oh!! What will you do if you go real mad? Probably giving more hickeys on force to show off your claim?"
A grew up from the corner of his lips dangerously. He looked down at my stomach and replied meaningfully,
" No!! Probably making a real child so that you won't dare to leave!"
My cheeks threatened to blush aftermath but I ignored it stubbornly, stomping on my feet before running outside,
" You are just a Bastard, Lorenzo!! I am leaving and don't you fucking dare to follow me! I want you to leave!!"
I passed through the exit, praying to get a cab as soon as I came out. He was chasing after me, shouting my name as he threatened with multiple words,
" You are making a mistake, Valentina!!"
" Come Back To Me!!!"
" No one is going to date you except me!!"
When I felt him closer, I ran to the opposite side of the road. I heard him cursing behind me as he chased after me to cross the road. Thankfully, a cab stopped at my signal. I rushed to get inside to notice, Lorenzo desperately running to catch me again.
Before I could get in the car, I heard a loud crashing sound. My heart skipped a beat as I looked to see the crowd screaming. I was trembling with tears in my eyes. Finally, a horrified scream left my mouth,
" LORENZO!!!!!"

" What happened, Luka? Please tell me that he is doing okay?", I sobbed hard, mumbling weakly as I looked up at Luka expectantly. Lorenzo was hit by a car when he tried to run after me. I had never thought in my life that he would be so paranoid to be hit by a car when he tried to follow me.
All my anger and power collapsed when I found him, drowned in blood. I felt guilty for doing this to him. Maybe, I could have stayed there to fulfill his request.
Luka's answer shattered the hope inside me,
" I am sorry, Valentina but I won't be lying. Lorenzo is in pretty bad condition and has bled much. I can't tell you anything at this moment. Please don't be so stressed! You are carrying a baby."
How could I feel okay when he was fighting with life and death inside?
I fell off on the bench, went numb as Emily came to hold me by my shoulders. None of his family members arrived there except me. Right after the accident, I had only Luka in my head whom I could contact to ask for help. He did take care of everything starting from all the medical procedures.
I burst into tears in Emily's arms, blaming myself repeatedly,
" It's..all my fault..all my fault, Em...I shouldn't have been so stubborn..He is dying because of me..How will I live without him? I still have to tell him that I love him, Em! I fucking love Lorenzo King!!"
Emily cooed me, hugging me tighter in her arms,
" I know,babe but you have to be strong for your baby! You have endured so many things. You will pass this too."
I didn't feel the courage anymore. Before my parents, I never felt so vulnerable to anyone. It was more like he had become a part of my life. I didn't notice who was coming to our way. Soon, a piercing voice echoed in the empty corridor,
" How dare you come to meet Lorenzo here?"
I looked up to find Nana standing in front of me, followed by Lorenzo's guards who gave me sympathetic glances. Before I could say anything, Nana kept rumbling her words out,
" Girls like you only know how to grab attention. No wonder, Lorenzo became the headline as soon as he went on a relationship with you. How dare you come to the hospital after doing this to him? Do you think that I am a fool like Lorenzo to believe mean girls like you? GET OUT FROM HERE!! Security guards!! Kick this woman out of here!!
