Stacey's POV
He's still trying to reason out but I'm not listening. It's just a bunch of lies I'm getting tired of.
Suddenly, my phone vibrated 'cause of a text message from Harry.
He is persistent to talk to me.
From: Harry
A piece of big news is awaiting outside your room. Ready your heart or you'll be doomed.
I'm getting a bad feeling about this.
"Hey! Talk to me!" Yul is still screaming, calling my name. But I didn't listen to him.
"We have another day to talk. Let me have peace," I said and left.
I went directly to my Mom's room.
It's still inches away, yet, the screams and wailing are so vivid to my ears. My heart is pounding so fast. I think I know what it is.
But I can't believe my eyes when I reached her room.
She's so pale. Her life support is gone, including the dextrose on her hand, and a tube connected to her stomach, they're all gone.
Hanakim and Fernando are crying.
Their eyes were swollen. So in my theory, they've been crying for so long.
"What is this? You don't need to cry, mom will survive. I'm just earning the remaining balance and the operation shall proceed. What is this commotion?" I asked, holding myself back.
My voice is cracking, but I still can't accept the truth.
"Ate..." my siblings called.
I walked closer to her, slowly 'cause I think, anytime, my knees would collapse.
My problems are being stacked up.
"Hey, Mom. You're unique and the most beautiful daughter is here. Come on, don't joke around," I said.
Inadvertently, my tears flowed freely. They can't get back to their place. It's just uncontrollable.
"Stacey, I have something to give to you," Harry said and hand me a piece of paper. It looks like a letter.
"From my mom? No, I don't need this!" I said and threw it at the edge of the room.
"...you should be the one to tell me, personally, what's inside that letter. SO GET UP, MOM! GET UP COME ON!" I said and continued shaking her body.
Until I was stopped by the personnel.
"Is she gone? Is this my reality?" I asked all the doctors around me inside the room, including Harry.
All of them synchronously nodded.
That's when the time I burst into tears, and my body fell to the ground.
Almost. Because Yul caught me. I want to escape from his arms, but my body is the to quit up.
"Mama!" I shouted.
My siblings were crying so loud than before right now.
I can't believe it.
Yesterday, I was just here, guarding her until she woke up. I was also here a while ago. But now, in a snap of my finger, she was gone.
"I didn't even get to say goodbye," I uttered.
Yul is comforting me, together with my siblings. I feel like I lost a leg.
She's my everything.
But she left me with nothing but pain.
I need her in my life. I always do.
Cygnus' POV
I sighed.
She's making a scene, but it was one of the most heart-melting scenes I ever watched. I couldn't to empathized and cry as well.
"This is the cost of what you did. She shouldn't be gone, crying, and leaving her mom behind if only you behave dearly!" I scolded her.
Kate was supposed to be the first person to know how much pain she was experiencing right now.
"Yes, I already get it. That's why I'm beginning a new good life. Believe me, Cygnus!" she said while wiping her tears. She's also moved by this situation.
Suddenly, Harry walked towards me.
"Glad you're here. Now do your assignments," he said and left.
"Assignments? What is that?" she asked.
Despite the fact of how serious the situation is, she still manages to give me the creeps and unnecessary emotions. God! Having her is so irritating.
How could I love her in that situation?
She suddenly look at me and smiled.
"I know, this isn't the perfect timing to ask you this but, are you getting attracted, Mr. Cygnus?" she asked. I blinked continuously and cleared my throat.
"You're just assuming," I said.
"Really? Then why is your gaze locked on mine?" she asked.
I laughed a little bit and she was shocked.
"See that! You just gave me your precious smile! Oh god, I think I could die any minute now!" she said.
I smiled at her and break her illusions.
"I was looking at you 'cause you're filthy, overreacting brat woman," I said, and as expected, her smile was gone in a snap.
"Brat?! I'm also just a hostess girl like her. How could you name me something unbelievable? Think of something else, dude!" she said and walked away.
I know she's just going to go somewhere not too far so I let her go and did Harry's favor.
I comforted and kept George away from Yul Matthew.
But it isn't that easy. Yul is not one to quit. I'm just glad he let me go my way. He knows his wrongdoings and is ready to face the consequences.
"I'll leave for now. But don't snatch her away from me. Or I'll snatch your organs," he said and turned his back against me.
"George?" I called her name.
The morgue of the hospital took Tita Gina's body to the funeral to embalm.
"Don't ask me if I'm okay, Cygnus. My mother just died. There's no way I would feel great," she said. I pat her back.
"I just want to remind you of the letter she left especially for you," I said and gave it to her.
I took it from the floor where she threw it a while ago while transporting Tita Gina's body.
She suddenly shouted.
"I want to cry. But it can't come out. Like my eyes were dried," she said.
I didn't speak, instead, I listened to her sentiments.
She opened the letter. Her breath is becoming heavier as she gets to reach the bottom part of the letter.
"Hey, I can manage. Thanks for your time," Harry, who just came, said.
I did what he favored as soon as possible and left.
Now that she's left with no parents at all, she's an orphan. How could she live alone with Yul and manage to guide her siblings?
"Hey!" she cut my questions in mind.
"You didn't bother to follow me, huh? Feeling comfortable just because I love you?" she asked.
"So full of yourself," I simply replied.
She pouted and stayed quiet.
SHE'S QUIET FOR ALMOST AN HOUR!
