Chapter 10
***LOGAN***
The bright moon cast a bright illumination on the woods. It was going to be a full moon soon.
It was the second week after Larissa ran away from the pack and I was scouting the woods with some men. They had tracked her down this far.
It took this long because the order was for them to return as soon as they saw Rogues.
Rogues liked to roam the outside territories of packs so they could find a pack wolf who would be unfortunate to be outside the border.
I went with them on some nights and tonight was one of them. For the past 8 days, they tracked down the path she took right from the pack and this was where we had gotten so far.
There were twelve of us with three wolves: real wolves that assisted us during hunts. They had been made to sniff some of Larissa's belongings so they could help us find her.
"Over here!" I heard someone shout and I walked over to him, my wolf trotting beside me.
"Here," the man said, pointing his touch at a tree. There was dried blood on the tree. I moved closer and touched the blood, before bringing it close to my nose and sniffing it.
"She's the one," I said and I looked around.
"Here," someone pointed a mark on the tree. It was a mark of Rogues that they left on trees to show that they'd been there.
That didn't mean anything. They could have marked the tree before Larissa was here or after she was here.
The wolves with us began to howl and we all looked up. It means Rogues were close.
We didn't know how many of them there were and it isn't wise to start anything unnecessary so we immediately began to move, heading back to the pack.
On the way back to the pack, the only thing on my mind was the Rogue mark on that tree. What if they met Larissa on the way? That would mean she's dead.
If she's dead, then I'm responsible for it. I walked back to my room with that nagging guilt in my mind. I opened the door of my room and suddenly, I saw a man shift into a wolf and jump out through the window.
I looked back at the bed to see Alvina who was completely naked on the bed. I realized what was happening and I became filled with rage.
I immediately shifted into a wolf and jumped out of the window to go after the man who was just here with Alvina.
I didn't act on time so I didn't know which direction the wolf ran in. Hurt and angry, I ran off into the wood with the wind brushing up against my face and twigs snapping beneath my legs.
I finally stopped running and I raised my head, howling loudly.

PRESENTLY.
I waited impatiently in my room waiting to be called and informed that the Physician from the other pack was here.
I didn't have to wait too long as I soon heard a knock on the door. I went to answer it quickly to see Derek.
"The physician is here, he's already examining your dad," Derek said. I locked my room door and walked with him to my dad's room.
"Did you hear from Larissa?" Derek asked.
"No, she told me to go to hell," I replied and Derek chuckled.
"It's not funny," I replied, rolling my eyes and he immediately looked serious.
"Maybe you won't need her again after all," Derek said.
"Maybe."
We walked into my dad's room and saw the pack's Physician with one other man I assumed to be the Physician we invited.
"Thanks for coming all the way here on our invitation," I said with a polite smile.
"It's an honor," he replied.
"So, have you taken a look at him?" I asked.
"Yes, he's in a state of coma. I gave him one of my very special medicine and he should be perfectly fine by the next morning," the Physician replied and I sighed in relief, with a wide smile on my face.
"Thank you so much," I said, feeling grateful.
"My pleasure."
"It's late now, I'll have someone prepare a room for you so you can rest and eat before leaving tomorrow.
"Oh, you don't have to bother, I can get back to my pack tonight," he replied.
"No, it's dangerous to go out tonight, you can leave first thing in the morning tomorrow," I said, "I insist."
I went back to my room that night feeling so restless. I couldn't wait for it to be morning already.
I would have never been able to live with the guilt if my father died.
I soon fell asleep and the next time I opened my eyes, it was because of the loud knock on my door.
I groaned, feeling disturbed.
I sighed and sat up as I heard another knock on my door. I suddenly realized that it was the next morning after the visit of the Physician. I climbed down immediately and went to open the door. It was Derek.
"What is it?" I asked, noticing the worried look on his face.
"It's your dad," he said. I immediately closed the door and followed him to my dad's room quickly.
He was convulsing rapidly and his body was burning.
"What is happening to him? I thought he was supposed to be okay now?" I asked and looked at the door as the pack Physician walked in.
"Is he not supposed to be recovering now?" I asked, boiling with rage and also scared at the same time.
The Pack Physician hurriedly opened his box and injected my father with something. I watched as my dad stopped convulsing and calmed down.
"I'm afraid that Physician's method did not work, they only made his condition worse," he said and closed up his box.
"I've been able to stabilize him for now."
I gritted my teeth and slammed my fists into the dressing table in the room.
"Get me that Physician now!" I yelled pointing outside the room.
Yet another failure, and this time my hopes were raised so fucking high. I thought I would wake up and apologize to my father not pray that he doesn't convulse to death!
I sighed, knowing what this meant.
I still needed Larissa.
