Louisa's p.o.v;
I felt pain in my stomach since I didn't eat for two days. Ace hasn't come to this room since he left that day. Was that stone important to him that much? Looking at the place I was in, I don't think he's chasing after the stone just for the money. It must be something else too. I'm not in a condition to think about any of the probabilities since I was starving here. When did he plan to give me food? Does he want me to die of starvation?
I couldn't even walk around the room since I didn't have the energy to use it, so I crawled like a worm on the bed.
The door opened.
I felt a hand on my head while saying, "Why are you curling up like that?"
I figured out it was Ace as soon as he talked. How will I say that I'm hungry even if it makes him mad?
"Get up and eat."
Did he bring food for me? I stood up quickly and looked around for the food but there wasn't any. When I looked at him, he looked mad and slapped me hard on my cheek. That hurts. It burns.
He made me look at him and asked, "Are you hungry?"
I shook my head and looked at him.
"I don't like people when they lie."
Suddenly, he took his belt and strangled around my neck and made me suffocate. I couldn't breathe. What the hell is wrong with him? Why is he torturing me like this? What does he want with me? Tears rolled down my cheeks as I experienced the pain of dying and felt dizzy.
He removed the belt around my neck which made me cough hard.
He moved closer to me and whispered in my ears, "Your tears arouse me."
He stood up from the bed and looked at me. What is he going to do? My tears arouse him? What does he mean by that? Is he going to r*pe me? Am i going to get r*ped by him? I couldn't breathe properly thinking about what's going to happen right now.
He shouted, "Come inside!"
A maid walked in with a tray of food and placed it beside me. It had food which looked delicious.
He nodded when I looked at him for his permission so I dug into the food and started to eat.
After I finished eating, the maid left the room with the empty plates. I laid on the bed as I was relieved from something.
Ace lifted me up to sit and said, "Don't sleep as soon as you finish eating the food."
I nodded and sat on the bed like he said. I remembered what he said before having food all of a sudden while he was sitting beside me which made me feel nervous.
He tapped on my lap to look at him, and when I looked at him, he said, "Do you want anything?"
"I want to know how Bernie is."
He stood up from the bed and tried to leave the room. What did I expect? Do you think he will say that easily? As soon as he asked, without hesitation I asked about Bernie. He was my only friend after all.
Before leaving, he said, "He's doing good." And left the room.
After hearing about Bernie, it brought a smile on my face knowing that he's good.
I slept so peacefully that night.
The next morning, I woke up to the smell of coffee and got up from the bed. Where's this smell coming from? I saw a cup of coffee beside the bed. When i tried to take the coffee,
"Do you like coffee?"
His voice made me drop the coffee on the floor.
"Argh!" I screamed when the coffee spilled on my hand before hitting the floor.
He held my hand and shouted, "Bring me the ice!"
He touched my cheek and said, "Look at me." When I looked at him, he said, "Don't cry."
When the maid brought a vessel with ice floating on the water, he placed my hand gently into the vessel and caressed it under the water.
Is this the person who strangled me using the belt? Is this the person who slapped me hard on my cheek? Is this the person who yelled at me?
He asked, "Does it hurt?"
I shook my head and looked at him with confusion.
He stood up and asked the maid to take the vessel away and ordered, "No foods should be served hot hereafter." And walked out.
What!?
After a while, the maid brought me breakfast and placed it beside the bed and waited for me to finish the food.
While I was eating, I asked her, "Do you serve food to every person in this house?"
She nodded.
"Did you happen to see anyone in this house like me? Like being held as hostage? A guy?"
When she was about to say something, Ace walked in and asked her to leave. I continued eating my food.
He took a shower and came out of the bathroom to change clothes. Was he deliberately doing this? Changing clothes in front of a girl? Wait, there's something on his back. When I looked at him again, I saw multiple scars on his back. What the f*ck! I got choked up on the food.
"Eat slowly." He said as he was wearing a shirt.
I nodded and continued eating the food. Where did he get those scars? Is it from gang fights? Anyways, it's not my problem to look into.
After I finished the food, a new maid came and took my plate. I asked her, "Where's the other maid?"
She didn't give a response and left the room with the empty plates.
Ace walked to me and said, "Whenever you talk to the maid, the new one comes."
Did he see while I was talking to the maid? Did he hear us? But he looked like he didn't hear it. I think he only saw us. Good heavens.
He changed into a suit and before he left, he said, "Get a shower." And left.
I sniffed myself and thought, 'Do I smell?' yeah, a little bit.
I stood up from the bed and opened the wardrobe and found a lot of girl clothing inside. Who does this clothes belong to? Can I wear these? Will he get upset if I wear one of these? He's the one who told me to get a shower. I don't have any other clothes to change too. I hope he doesn't get mad at me.
I got a shower and changed into a white shirt and denim shorts.
I walked around the rooms and looked at what's in here. There wasn't a window in this room either. Does every room in this house doesn't have any windows? There's nothing in this room except the bed to sleep on, a wardrobe with clothes, a bathroom to take shower and expensive decor furniture like ancient tables with empty cabinets and paintings on the wall.
I opened the wardrobe and looked through the clothes. Is there something in here other than the clothes? I didn't find anything except the clothes hanging in the hanger.
I laid on the bed and looked at the ceiling up there and slept without my concern.
I woke up to the sudden bang. I woke up and saw Ace barging into the room and breaking things on the table near the door. He looked like he was mad about something. It's better to stay away from him otherwise he'll show his anger on me. He took the lamp and throwed it against the wall and broke it into pieces. While I was watching him behaving like a maniac, he suddenly started banging on the wall. I saw blood spilling on the floor where he was standing. Was it his blood?
I stood up from the bed and ran to him and saw his knuckles on his hand bleeding like hell. What the hell is wrong with him? I tried to stop him by grabbing his arm to stop hitting the wall. He didn't stop and continued hitting the wall.
I shouted, "Stop it! You're scaring me!"
He pushed me on the floor and continued banging the wall. I fell where he broke the lamp so I cut my hand and started to bleed.
While I was looking at the blood from my hand, he held my hand and asked, "How did you get hurt?"
I pointed to the broken lamp on the floor and looked at him.
He stood up and walked out of the room.
After a while, he came with a medkit and sat in front of me. He opened the medkit and started cleaning my wound and put an ointment on it and bandaged it while his hands were bleeding more than mine.
When he tried to get up, I held his wrist and made him sit and opened the medkit for the essentials. I took the cotton and cleaned his blood and treated it. I thought he would swing and walk out but he sat still till I finished treating the wound.
After I closed the medkit, he moved closer and hugged me. My mind went blank when he suddenly hugged me. I don't know how I should respond back and sit still.
He whispered, "Hug me back."
I raised my hands and placed on his back and wrapped around him and hugged him back like he did to me. What happened today that made him behave like this?
He broke the hug and laid on the bed and said, "Come."
I laid on the bed beside him facing the ceiling. He moved towards me and put his hands over me and hugged me. What is he trying to do? When I turned and looked at him, he was sleeping. Is he really sleeping? I waited till he went into a deep sleep and fell asleep together with him.
The next morning,
When I woke up, I was laying on Ace's chest. How did we end up like this? When I looked at him, he was still sleeping. I tried to get up from him but he grabbed me and made me lay on him again.
"Where are you trying to go?"
"Nowhere."
"Did you get enough sleep?"
I nodded while laying on his chest.
He caressed my hair and asked, "Shall we go somewhere today?"
I got up and said, "huh?"
He got up and said, "Let's go out. Do you have someplace in your mind?"
"I don't know any places here."
"Haven't you gone out with your friends?"
"I don't have any friends other than Bernie. He's my only friend I have in Sao Paulo."
"Okay, I'll take you out. Let's go out and have fun today. Get a shower and wear something nice." And he walked out of the room.
Is he really going to take me out? But why? He's been nice to me recently. Did something happen? Did he get the red stone? No, he said he'll let go of me when he gets hold of the stone. I wondered what changed his mind.
After getting out of shower, I dressed up in a modern fashion with a jacket and jeans and combed my hair down and waited for him.
The door opened and Ace walked in. He was dressed up in casual wear and wearing sunglasses.
"Shall we go?"
I nodded at him.
I walked out of the room along with him and looked at the house I didn't get a chance to look at. The walls looked higher and the ceiling was well carved. I saw the bodyguards standing against the wall.
Ace held my hand and dragged me out of the house while I was staring at those bodyguards.
When I tried to step out of the house, I stared at the door.
He put his hands over my shoulder and whispered into my ears, "Don't have any silly thoughts. Remember that your friend is still with me."
When I looked at him, he gave a smile and said while tapping my shoulder, "Let's go. What are you waiting for?"
