Louisa's p.o.v;
"Do you know where we are right now?" Ace asked me while we're walking in the middle of the popular alleyway in Sao Paulo. Vila madalena and boco de Batman.
I answered him, "Vila madalena."
"Yes. Do you like graffiti Ms Louisa?"
I stared at him when he mentioned me as Louisa because not many people call me that way. I bet he heard it from Bernie.
I shook my head and continued walking with him. He nodded and led the way. While I was walking behind him, I saw Bodyguard 2 and Edgar walking behind us. I didn't know he's bringing them too. I didn't see Bodyguard 2 since he tried to r*pe me so it felt awkward around him.
"How much do you know about Sao Paulo?" Ace asked me all of a sudden.
I answered, "It is the 8th richest city in the world and a home to 40 million people. Statistics state that for every hour there'll be 10 people who come to live here. The economic capital is the reason attracting people from around the world. And it's also popular for having the largest fleet for helicopters."
"I'm amazed." He turned to the bodyguards and asked, "Tell me what's a popular restaurant around here."
He's asking about the place like he's a tourist. Was he asking for fun or was he an alien to this place? No, he's a Mafia. How could he not know these places? Definitely, he knows this place in and out. Was he checking out my knowledge about this place? Since he did a background check on me, he must have known that I moved here recently. That's why he's asking weird questions to me.
Edgar said, "GJ restaurant, Sir. It received 4.9 stars from the customers and I've been there in person too, Sir. The food is good."
"Then, let's go there."
In the restaurant,
While we're waiting for the waiter at the table, Edgar came forward and said, "It's a self service restaurant, Sir. Tell me what you want, Sir. I'll pick it up for you."
After getting orders from Ace, Edgar turned to me expecting me to give out the names of the food.
I said, "I'll go by myself." And stood up from the table.
"Go with her." Ace ordered bodyguard 2 to accompany me. More like guarding me.
After Edgar left the table, I continued picking up the food.
Bodyguard 2 stood behind me and watched me like I was going to run away through the back door. I ignored him and continued picking up the food from the various vessels. I'm sorry, I didn't have any escape plans since Bernie is with you.
Bodyguard 2 stepped closer to me and whispered, "You got away once but you can't everytime."
I turned and stared at him.
Ace called out my name and ordered me to go to the table so I walked to his table.
When I sat at the table, he asked, "Did you take everything you like?"
I nodded at him.
"Eat."
I gave a nod and started eating the food I picked.
After we left the restaurant, we got into the car, the driver asked, "Where to, Sir?"
Ace said, "Ibirapuera park."
Is there even a park under this name? Since I never left the apartment except for my college and for my part-time job, I don't know many places around here. Wait! My part-time job! I let out a sigh and thought, 'I bet they would have hired someone already. What am I going to do after this? How will I pay my fees? I think I have to find another part-time job as soon as I get out of here.
The car came to a halt which made me look outside. Where are we now?
We got out of the car and looked at the park he mentioned. It's beautiful and large. I didn't know there was a large park in this area. It looked like a picnic spot. This place doesn't suit mafia's for sure.
Ace held my hand and said, "What are you waiting for?"
He walked me inside the park and I was stunned by the beauty of the park. The natural beauty is very hard to describe in words. Everyone who visits Sao Paulo must look at this beauty to complete their trip I guess.
While we're walking inside, I saw the carts selling coconut juices and felt thirsty. Even if I ask him, he won't buy it for me. Moreover he'll get mad if i was the one who started the conversation. I turned away from my gaze to the place where people were renting bikes and bicycles. The people who were riding it looked happy which made me feel jealous.
"Do you want to go on a bike?"
I'm afraid of how he'll react if I said yes or no.
I nodded my head at him.
"Let's go for a ride then."
Bodyguard 2 rented two bikes. When I tried to take another bike to ride, Ace held my hand and said, "You're coming with me." And forced me to sit on the bike with him. I don't know why he still thinks that I'll run away even after he threatens me about Bernie.
When the bike ride ended, I felt dizzy since he rode the bike so fast. While I was trying to breathe normally, Ace gave me coconut juice and said, "Drink it."
I took the juice from him and drank it while looking at him. Did he notice when I looked at the cart?
He said, "Don't try to seduce me."
I choked on the coconut water and apologized to Ace. Sometimes he speaks like a perverted guy and sometimes like a nerd. I wonder what his real personality is.
"No one is going to grab it from you. Drink slowly."
I nodded and continued drinking it.
After strolling around the park, we came to the Edificio copan. I stood in front of the Edificio and looked up, I heard that it has 30 floors. I let out a sigh and thought, 'Why would he bring me to a place like this?'
Edgar, "Ace already went inside, why are you still here? He's going to yell at us if you don't follow him or are you afraid of heights?"
I nodded.
"Really? Are you afraid of heights?"
I nodded again.
"You're different from how you were before. How did this non-stop talking stubborn girl turn into a bobble head doll?"
"You don't have to know that."
"Ah! There it is. The stubborn girl…"
While Edgar was teasing me, Bodyguard 2 said, "Hey, move it!"
I walked inside the building and looked at Ace who was waiting in the elevator car.
Ace asked, "What took you so long?"
I got in the elevator and stood beside him and looked at the two bodyguards in front of us. Others in the elevator looked at us weirdly. Who wouldn't though? Being surrounded by bodyguards even in the elevator.
After a while, we reached the top floor of the Edificio copan. When the elevator door opened, the view took me aback. Ace and others left the elevator while I stood with fear.
Edgar said, "Come outside. It's a great view, don't miss it."
I shook my head and remained in the elevator.
Ace asked Edgar, "What's happening here?" He turned and asked me, "What are you doing in there? Do you like the elevator that much?"
Ace stepped in the elevator car and held my hand and said, "Let's go."
When I stepped outside the elevator car, I gripped Ace's hand tightly and walked alongside with him.
He asked, "Are you trying to crush my hand? Look at me." I lifted my head and looked at him, he stared at me and asked, "Are you scared of heights?"
I nodded at him.
He smiled at me and came closer and kissed my forehead and said while looking at the front, "It's an astounding view isn't it?"
Did he just kiss my forehead? What the hell was that for? Why did he kiss me? I touched my forehead and thought, 'Why did he kiss me? Why?' I let go of his hand because of the shock.
He held my hand and asked, "Why did you let it go? Aren't you scared anymore? Look over there…"
While he was talking about the view, I was still in shock about why he kissed me all of a sudden.
Thinking about the things that happened recently, he's been nice to me. He stopped all that crazy stuff like slapping hard on my face, grasping my neck and strangling me with the belt. He got mad when the coffee accidentally slipped on my hand and asked the maid to stop serving me hot. He was worried about my little cut on my hand more than his bleeding hands.
I looked at Ace who was holding my hands and looking at the view. He was all smiley which was different from how he was with me in the beginning. Even though he's all smiley now, it felt suspicious. Was there something behind this smile? The only reason I'm being here with him without a struggle is for Bernie. I don't know if they'll let me and Bernie go after getting the stone. What if they tried to kill us after they got the stone? I think I have to make an escape plan and get away from these idiots as soon as I can. Until then, I'm going to play the dumb card.
Suddenly Ace asked, "Does my face look better than the view?"
I turned away from looking at him and looked at the view in front of me. Even though I was looking at the view he was talking about, my mind was filled with the thoughts of escaping. I didn't look at the house properly while I was walking out of the house along with Ace. This time, I have to pay attention and remember the details of the house. On top of that, I should find the room where Bernie is. How should I find it?
Ace tapped on my shoulder and said, "Let's go."
I nodded and walked with him. I should find a way to know where Bernie is.
After a while, He brought me back to the house. When I stepped out of the car, I looked at the house. It looked big and dangerous. More to that, it'll be difficult to escape from here.
I stepped into the house and started counting my steps as I was walking inside. I remembered every turn I made and every step I took. I stopped in front of the staircase to the upstairs. I don't remember taking the staircase while I was walking out of the house. Where did this come from? After Ace climbed the stairs, I followed him. Are we going in a different way than the last time? How many ways does this house have to go through the main door? F*ck! I think going through the main door is a bad idea. I have to find another way to get out of this place. As I walked through the corridor after climbing the stairs, I saw many rooms on either side. Is there a chance that Bernie could be in any one of these rooms? After a turn, I took another long walk in the corridor where bodyguards were standing near the wall.
Soon we came to the room where I was kept. I entered the room and walked to the bed and sat on it.
Ace came inside the room and closed the door behind him and walked to the bathroom.
I walked to where he throwed the clothes and checked it to find the key. There weren't keys in his pants. Where did he keep it? His shirt? Nah! Who would keep a key in a shirt and roam around like a carefree? What if there was a key? I took the shirt and checked the pockets… Found it! It was really here. I took the key and kept his shirt back and walked to the bed. Now, where should I hide this? I looked around and my eyes locked on the mattress. I lifted the mattress and hid the key beneath the mattress and sat on the bed.
He walked out of the shower and said, "Aren't you going to take a shower?"
I nodded and walked to the bathroom. In the shower, I'm going to escape this place along with Bernie tomorrow no matter what.
When I came out of the shower, I saw Ace laying on the bed. I laid on the bed on my left while he's on the other side.
"Turn towards me."
F*ck! Anyways, It's only for this night. I turned towards him and closed my eyes to sleep.
I woke up to the banging sound on the door. Who's it? I rubbed my eyes and got up from the bed and found Ace wasn't on the bed. I saw in the direction of the sound of banging and saw Ace banging his head on the door. Was he sleepwalking again?
He's been sleepwalking every time he sleeps in here. I got out of the bed and walked to him. I held his hand and turned his direction towards the bed and walked along with him to the bed. I made him lay on the bed and laid beside him. I held his hand and closed my eyes. I found that while holding hands, he sleeps peacefully after I accidently held his hand once while trying to stop him from sleepwalking.
I saw him sleepwalking while I was kept in a different room. How did he walk all the way to that room? He threatened me not to tell anyone when I saw him sleepwalking. That means no one knows it yet. Did anyone intentionally open his room to make him walk out of his room? Does that mean someone in this house knows about his condition? Whatever, this house itself gives me creeps. I can't believe I'm helping the guy who kidnapped me. Anyways, I'm going to flee from this house along with Bernie tomorrow.
