"I...I'm a vampire."
The officer looked at scared as she looked at her but soon recovered from her shock.
"Little girl, you know you're not allowed to joke about things, like that, right?"
"I'm not joking. I'm really serious." She replied.
An officer walked past and stopped when he saw her.
"What's going on?What brings a little girl to the station?" He asked.
"She came here to make a prank."The officer laughed.
"It's not a prank."
This had been the scene the priest had come to meet when he'd been searching for Zuriña. Luckily, he'd stopped her before she'd thought of transforming in front of them.
"You got me worried. I've been looking for you."He had sighed.
"Is she your daughter?"
"Yeah...I hope she didn't pull any pranks here as well."
"She did." The female officer had said.
"Really? Do forgive her, she's been pulling pranks lately because she's been bored."
"I see."They'd replied.
He'd taken her back home and had sworn, ever since then, to take her as his own.
The clock hit twelve jerking him out of his thoughts.
He had to protect the kids.
The rumbling of the sky increased Father Michael restlessness that morning. He'd spotted vampires around the neighborhood confirming the fact that the kids were no longer safe.
He was headed out of his room when someone knocked.
"Who could it be?" He wasn't expecting anyone that morning though.
He headed for the door and reached out to open when everywhere suddenly became cold and he knew who it was.
He hurried over to the kids room and locked it before he walked over to close the windows on the other side.
He hurried over to his bedroom as the knocking came again, louder this time. He walked up to the wardrobe in his room and threw the doors open.He tossed out his wears, revealing an inner chamber.
His eyes were greeted with the sight of the things he thought would never see the light again. He took out a gun and had it properly loaded before he slipped it under his pajamas.
He heard the door break open and he hurried out. The vampires were without Lucian.
One of the men kept his eyes locked with Father Michael as he smashed the nearest vase on the floor.
"What are you doing?"He gulped, trying not to look intimidated by their threatening looks.
"We only came here to send a warning."
"A warning?"
"You're being watched. So don't try anything stupid."
"Where's the pureblood, by the way? My eyes have been dying to see her." Zak said and the other turned to glare at him.
"Watch your mouth. Master hasn't ordered us to make a move."
"So what? Since we're already here, can't we take a look at her?" He asked and made to dash into their room when another vampire moved faster and pinned him to the wall.
"Now's not the time. Behave yourself, Zak."
"Or what?"Zak asked.
Herley's eyes turned bright red as his claws elongated.
"I'll put an end to you, right now and here."
One of the vampires smashed the window near him and they turned to him. "Cut it out, guys. We're here..."
Father Michael's gun went off and a bullet hit Zak in the stomach. Other vampires turned to Father Michael who had his gun pointed.
"Are you kidding me?" Herley asked, through his fangs and Zak slumped to the floor.
A wicked grin crossed his lips as he dug out the bullet and threw it towards him.
"You must be really dense, Father. Do you really think we can be killed by things like this?"Zak asked and raced to punch Father Michael, sending him metres from him.
"Zak!"Herley called out to stop him but that didn't work as he was striding to meet the priest who groaned in pains.
Grabbing him by the collar, he made him sit up and sent a punch across his face making him spit out blood.
Herley who couldn't stand it anymore, walked up to him.
"Zak, that's enough."He grounded out.
Zak made to send another hit across the priest's face when the gun went off again, this time piercing through his heart.
Father Michael felt the grip on his neck loosen and he tried to scamper for safety, despite the pains.
Confused the other vampires started to close in to take a look at Zak as he coughed up blood and Herley crouched down to look at his injury. He wasn't going to make it.
"It's acid, if you were wondering. The first one wasn't." The priest said.
"You shouldn't have messed with us."A vampire screamed as he made to attack the priest who avoided it and made a hole in his heart.
He sent another bullet flying into the heart of another vampire enraging the others who made to charge at him at once, but he fired at them.
Zak grabbed Herley's hand trying to take breaths, but Herley knew it was useless.
Angry, two vampires raced to burst into the kids room and the priest succeeded in gunning one of them down while the other gained access in time to realize he'd played a fast one on them.
"Boss..."
Herley turned towards the bedroom and gritted his teeth on discovering the priest had played a fast one on them.
"After him..."
The rest of the vampires charged at him at him and he managed to gun one of them down before the others pounced on him. Luckily, he still had his gun in his hand.
He sent bullets into their hearts before they proceeded to make him their lunch for the day.
Herley soon became the only vampire left and he only managed to hit the priest once before he sent him on his way to meet the rest of the dead vampires.
Groaning, he rose and looked at the bodies of the dead vampires. He had to clean up the mess before the others knew he'd killed them.
He held his stomach as he walked over to pick up his lighter on the living room's center table to lit up candles before he headed out.
He disconnected the gas pipe outside and turned on the cylinder before he hurried away. That was the best way to clean up his mess.
The building went up in flames a couple of minutes later and Father Michael sighed as he watched from afar.
