I’m excited to be going to Mystic Coven tomorrow. Councilman Bari will be here in the morning to take us to Mystic Coven and do all the introductions. He will leave us there. I will actually be leaving there going to my home pack for the holidays. I plan to spend Thanksgiving with my parents. Gamma Francis will be joining me at my pack so that she can meet all of the family. Her and I will also make a secret trip to the Royal Pack to meet with our cousin and get a DNA test done to determine what branch of the family she came from. My dad thinks her grandfather is his grandfather’s uncle. The family lost contact with him after he mated and left the pack. We will soon know.
Lacey is doing well with my team. She has been training all of the warriors and other elemental wolves how to do deep meditation. It has made a huge difference with the pack. The elementals have a stronger connection with their elements now. They understand that their element is a separate entity from them. The shadow wolves have all embraced the shadow and are now happily practicing with their element. They are fierce warriors and since they only have the one element, they have mastered things that I have not although my shadow has told me that I can do them if I tried.
Alpha Clark, Beta James, Yvette, Warrior Peace, Lacey and all of my protector warriors with their mates will be traveling with me to the coven. It is important for the protector team train with the vampires so that both parties can get used to fighting side by side. We will be recruiting a couple of the vampire warriors for our team. Tamaska will know which warriors to ask to join us. She said that she will know by the bond she will form with them. Tamaska explained to me that she has a different bound with our elite protector team, our inner circle, our family and our circle of friends. That is how she knew about Francis being family. She explained that she didn’t know why she had such a strong familiar bond with Francis, so she finally asked the moon goddess about it and was told that Francis and her wolf were our family. The moon goddess left it up to us to find out how the dots are connected.
So here I am setting up in my room after packing to excited to sleep. I have traveled all over the world and have trained with different shifters and have even trained with humans, but this will be my first time at a vampire coven. I’m also excited about being in the mountains this time of year. I had to go on another extended shopping with Lacey to get warmer clothing, as well as more work out clothes.
After a restless night sleep for me, we all meet downstairs to start our journey. Councilman Bari is already here and ready to take us to the airfield. The plane trip will take about an hour I believe. Since it is early, I may get to start training immediately. I really hope so, since there are only a couple weeks before Thanksgivings. I will be going home to my family for the holidays and then to the bears.
We finally arrive at Mystic Coven. The Royal Palace is something out of a fairytale. It is literally carved into the mountain and has several levels. It’s like the castle sits, on, in and around the mountain. I’m told that the castle is literally, the mountain. The lower levels are inside of the mountain. This castle has been around for centuries. We are greeted by the Royal family once we enter the castle.
“Greetings councilman Bari. Alpha Clark, it is good to see you again my friend.” Prince Julian says.
“Prince Julian, thank you. King Joachim, Queen Ambrosia. Than you so much for having us and greeting us personally.” Councilman Bari say. “Let me introduce you all to everyone. You all already know Alpha Clark and Beta James. This young lady next to me is Seleste, next to her is Lacey, Warrior Peace and his mate and Alpha Clark’s sister Yvette.”
Councilman Bari then introduces all of the warriors on my protection team and their mates.
“It is a pleasure to have all of you at our home. We are excited to be working with you all.” King Joachim says. “It is my understanding that we will be training you all in two different areas. Seleste will be training with Prince Julian and learning to use telekinesis and hopefully teleportation. The team will be learning defensive techniques to combat against mind control and other special talents of vampires and other spices.”
“That is correct.” Councilman Bari says.
“Well, lets eat first and then we will show you to your rooms to get changed and begin training in three hours to give you all a chance to get settled in.” Queen Ambrosia says.
“Thank you all so much for having me here and helping me. This is truly an honor. This is my first time meeting any vampires, so please excuse me in advance for my ignorance of your cultures and for the thousands of questions I may have during my stay here,” I say.
“Please feel free to ask me and/or my parents anything. We have found that the best way to strengthen relationships between species is to learn to understand and appreciate our difference, as well as similarities. You will find that we have a lot more similarities than you think.” Prince Julian says.
“Prince Julian is absolutely right Seleste. He and I have been friend since we were very young. We also went to some special training together growing up. My father and his father formed an alliance even before I was born.” Alpha Clark says.
“That is amazing. Other packs, dens and covens can learn at lot from your example.” Councilman Bari says.
We all enter the dinning room and there is this amazing buffet with so many amazing smelling dishes filled with every kind of food imaginable. I just stand there looking in awe.
“Are you surprised to see so much food or surprised that we vampires eat actual food?” Queen Ambrosia asked.
“A little of both, although, I always assumed that you did eat. I mean look how muscular the king and prince are. I know as werewolves, we eat a lot of protein to maintain our muscle mass. I just assumed it was the same for all species.” I reply.
“Seleste, you are truly unique.” Queen Ambrosia says. “Most people assume that our diet is purely blood. Don’t get me wrong, we can go longer without solid food than we can without blood, but we consume both.”
“I try not to base my ideas of different species based on how they are portrayed in human movies. They have all of us looking like deranged killers.” I say. “I am somewhat of a foodie, so walking in here and seeing this large variety is my ultimate happy place.”
We all grab our plates and start filling them with food. I am not ashamed to say that I went around the buffet a few times, as did everyone. As supernaturals, we have high metabolisms and require a lot of food to keep us fueled. The food tasted as good as it looked and smelled. They have the most amazing cooks.
While we eat, I asked about the hierarchy within the vampire kingdom. The vampire ranks are different, yet similar to ours. The royal family is the highest rank. The next rank is to the oldest known families or elders. Then there are the clans and the power rankings within the clans. This can be based on the purity of the bloodline, born versus made and so forth. Some clans and the royal coven have titles similar to human aristocrats. In fact, the humans got their titles from the vampires. The first documented Duke and Duchess in history, were in fact vampires.
The royal family showed us all to our rooms. Lacey stayed on the same floor as me, Alpha Clark and Beta James. Warrior Peace and Yvette chose to stay on the floor with the other warriors and their mates. All of the rooms were amazing. Each one had its on color scheme. My room had shades of blue. I don’t know how everyone knows blue is my favorite color, but I’m glad to have a blue room. They also have soft fluffy pillars and a mixture of material that gives all of this blue a feminine touch. If I were to describe me as a room, this room would be the perfect description; strong and confident, yet soft and feminine.
Everyone else is equally happy with their rooms. At least the mates of the warriors are talking about how nice the rooms are via mind link. The warriors being typical male wolves, don’t really care as long as their mates are happy. We all agree to meet downstairs in an hour, so we can start our training. This gives me time to take a quick power naos and the others time to relax or bond with their mates. Prince Julian asked Lacey to meet with him to discuss her meditation techniques with him a little before the rest of us meet. I’m so happy that Lacey is getting an opportunity to display her training skills with others. I’m so glad she is a part of my team. She feels like family. I hope her second chance mate will be part of my protector team so her and I can remain close.
“Don’t worry Lettie, her mate is closer to you than you think.”
“T, are you ever going to tell me who he is?”
“Not until it’s the right time. If I tell you too soon, it can mess up the natural order of things. We need them to meet as the goddess planned without any interference.”
“OK. I guess I’ll have to be patient and wait to see it like everyone else.”
Tamaska just smiles and goes to her favorite corner of my mind to take a nap. I crawl into bed and do the same thing after setting my alarm to wake me up in 45 minutes to give me time to wake up, change and get downstairs to meet everyone.
