The sun peaked up in the sky bringing about a season of hunting.
Alpha Coast and Fred stood just outside the border with their mates watching them, Bella noticed one thing about Coast, when he was with his Cousin he could be a cheerful person, he could let his guard and be a nice person.
She thought maybe it was because he was the only relative he had.
“Ready for a hunt” Fred tapped Coast in for a nice wild hunt in the woods for a prey just for fun.
“Knight is always ready” Coast replied and the sound of cracking bones from both of them filled the air.
Knight was bigger than Fred wolf’s, they stood on all four with a line in front of them,
“Ready” Bella held a flag in her hand and they bent down ready leap into the air after they heard a go sign.
“And go” Bella gave the call and they leaped high above her running into the woods.
“Go Fred” Lola said cheering for her mate, she turned to Bella hoping she would do the same but Bella just stood there.
“Aren’t you going to cheer for your mate?” She asked.
“No, he is good” Bella answered confident that Coast would get the first kill,
“You think Coast is going to win” Lola winked at her being all competitive about their mates.
“I trust he will” Bella answered boldly, Lola doubted the confidence she had, she had seen her man hunting and knew he was good at it but her jaw dropped when she saw Knight coming back with a deer in his mouth in just a few minutes.
“I told you he will win” Bella bragged, she hadn’t realized what she was doing and got too excited for Alpha Coast, he dropped the deer in front of them, change back to his human form wearing only a pair of shorts.
He took the flag from Bella and stumped into the ground as a sign of the champion who had made the first kill.
When he turned back to Bella, she was looking at him in a way that he never thought she would.
Bella bit her lips after seeing Coast ripped body dripping with sweat, she may have seen his body before but it was now that she took heed to it.
A possessive growl escaped her lips and immediately covered her mouth but Alpha Coast had heard it and smiled, he felt pleased to see her lusting after his body, he was glad that he had that effect on her.
Fred came back in a little while but was frustrated to see a deer lying dead on the ground and the flag dipped to the ground.
He changed back,
“What the hell man!” He groaned at his disappointment, they had both gone different ways and he thought he was the fastest when he saw a deer a metre away but little did he know that Coast had gotten his and gone back.
“You were slow” Alpha Coast answered him picking up a towel to wipe his body, he could still feel Bella’s eyes fixed on his body so he gave her the towel to wipe him clean.
“What is this for?” She held the towel in her hand.
“You have been staring at me for a while, don’t you want to touch it?” He teased.
Bella’s ears became red and she didn’t know she was blushing until he touched her face.
“Why is your face red?” he brought it to her attention.
“Oh shit” she cursed covering her face from him, she didn’t want him to know that she was blushing because of him.
“Bella, the sweat is going to stick to my body” he called her attention.
“Can’t you have a cold shower” She groaned raising up her upper lip and knitting her eyebrows together.
“I want you to do it” he replied loudly causing Fred to look at them.
Having Fred’s eyes on her, Bella had no choice than to wipe his body, Coast let out a nice smile while she tried to avoid body contact, once she was done, he tapped her head.
“Thank you my little mate”
“I am not little” she pushed his hand off her head angrily.
“You are my little feisty mate” he reworded.
“You are lucky that they are watching us or else I would have given you a piece of my mind” she whispered to him.
Alpha Coast could do all this things because his cousin was right there watching them, he could act up just to get the affection of Bella which she would obliged because it was part of the deal.
“Tell me about it” he held her hand in his as they walked back to the castle, Bella used her claws to scratch him but he didn’t mind, he held her tighter so she wouldn’t escape from him.
“We should do this again sometime” Fred walked closer to them with an unhappy Lola who had lost the hunt because her mate was slow.
“No, I don’t want to see you lose again” Lola rejected the idea warming up her bruised ego.
“Failure is a part of life my dear” Fred answered her.
“Just don’t” she bellowed.
“As you wish my dearest mate” Fred listened to his mate as they walked past Coast and Bella whose eyes were fixed on them.
What they had was genuine and real compared to the fake act they were putting on.
Bella forcefully retracted her hand from his,
“I have other things to do now, don’t come looking for me until it is evening” she warned him and went back to her apartment.
Alpha Coast watched her leave and he felt sad, he was into the castle alone when a young lady bumped into him just by the entrance.
“I am so sorry Alpha” Elaine apologized burying her face to the ground to avoid his dark gaze.
“Who are you?” Alpha Coast asked, he had never seen her in the castle before and she didn’t look or dress like one of the omegas.
Elaine kept quiet before him which only made him furious.
“Look at me” he ordered and she slowly looked up.
“When I talk to you, you fucking answer me: Now who are you?” He asked authoritatively.
“My name is Elaine, Alpha” she answered him trying to keep her gaze on his face, she failed woefully completely scared of him so she kept her head back down.
Alpha Coast got so mad that he grabbed her by the neck and pushed her to the wall,
“I didn’t ask for your name, I asked for where you are from and why do you have the Scent of my Beta all over you” Alpha Coast could distinguish the scent of Arthur on her, she smelled just like him which meant she had been with him on many occasions.
“I am from the…”
“Alpha, she is my mate” Beta Arthur ran to rescue his mate from Alpha Coast, he was scared that Coast would snap her neck any minute and he couldn’t let that happen.
Alpha Coast slowly dropped her down and she hid behind him.
“You had a mate and you didn’t think to tell me” He barked at him, he wouldn’t have thought that his Beta would hide his mate from him keeping her in the castle all these while.
“I didn’t mean to hide it, I was going to tell you” Arthur defended himself, he had been looking for the perfect time to tell him about Elaine but that time had not yet come due to his busy schedule.
“You wouldn’t hide your mate from me if she were from this pack, is she what I think she is?” Coast picked up a few things from his attempt.
“She is…”
“We will talk about this later and don’t you dare think of hiding the truth from me” Alpha Coast cautioned him and walked away.
Beta Arthur turned to his scared mate and hugged her, he knew it would take a lot to convince Alpha Coast to accept that his mate from a pack he hated the most but he would still try to convince him just for his mate.
“Don’t worry, everything will be fine” he assured her placing a kiss on her head, he could see how terrified she was of Alpha Coast just by looking into her weary eyes.
