The discussion between Hava and Ashton was overheard by another omega and got to the ears of the Alpha.
Alpha Nathan invited Ashton over first thing in the morning,
“You called for me Alpha” Ashton opened the door and walked in.
“Have a seat” Alpha Nathan gestured at the open seat in front of him.
“How are you doing uhmm?”
“Ashton, my name is Ashton” he replied knowing fully well that the Alpha didn’t know his name, he hardly knew the names of the omegas working for him.
“How are you doing Ashton?” Alpha Nathan corrected himself.
“I am doing great Alpha” he answered with respect for the Alpha before him.
“Of course you should, anyone in your situation would be” Alpha Nathan emphasized about to hit the bull by the head.
“I don’t understand Alpha” he asked confused.
“I heard that you are my daughter’s mate, you must feel really great to be mated to the daughter of an Alpha” Alpha Nathan said shocking him.
Ashton wondered how he must have known the truth, he didn’t think Hava would have the courage to tell him or did he push her to far yesterday that she had no other option than to report to him.
“That is not what I mean Alpha” he defended.
“Don’t play tricks with me, I can spot a gold-digger even from a mile away” Alpha Nathan threw this harsh words at him with no remorse.
“Alpha I had never thought about that”
“Do you think I am stupid, do you think I would allow you an ordinary omega to be the Alpha of this pack just because you are mated to my daughter?” He asked Ashton but he kept mute daring not to answer his question.
“Let me ask you something, when you found out she was your mate were you happy?” Alpha Nathan asked.
Ashton was confused on how to answer that question, if he said yes then Alpha Nathan would accuse him of trying to take the Alpha title and if he said No then he would be accused of thinking Hava was inferior to him that he wouldn’t want her which was already untrue.
“You are speechless which means you were happy, anyone would be happy and jump at such an opportunity” Alpha Nathan answered for him.
He made it look like Ashton was undeserving of her.
“Tell me, what plans to you have after becoming the Alpha?” He asked him.
“I have no plans Alpha” Ashton answered quickly, what he actually meant was that he didn’t want to be the Alpha but Alpha Nathan misunderstood him.
“What nonsense, you don’t have any plans for the pack then you can never rule.
How about my daughter, do you have plans for my daughter” He questioned making Ashton surprised.
“I uhhhmm”
“Just look at this, you don’t have any plans” Alpha Nathan struck.
“I didn’t”
Ashton was confused on how to explain himself, what plans was he supposed to have for his mate other than making her happy and living a good life.
He had thought they could leave the pack and live peacefully to gather away from all of it but his supposed mate didn’t waste anytime in rejecting him, he felt hurt and broken as she sat on front of Alpha Nathan, he wasn’t going to and any plans for a mate who doesn’t want him, the only thing keeping him in the pack was that he hadn’t accepted her rejection hoping she would come back to him.
“My daughter told me that you had refused to accept her rejection, are you hoping she will accept you later.
Let me give you a little advice, accept the rejection and live your life without a mate or better still leave the pack because can never accept you.
You are not worthy to be her mate and much less the Alpha.
You may leave my presence” Alpha Nathan spat those harsh words and he stood up slowly from his seat.
“Alpha, you may think I am undeserving of your daughter but one day you would realize that it is the other way round” Ashton said and banged the door behind.
Alpha Nathan was stunned, the nerve of an omega to talk back to him just because he thought he had some entitlement over his daughter.
Ashton packed his things ready to go when he decided to have a little chat with Hava before he left, he snuck into her room easily like it wasn’t his first time and sat by her bed watching her sleep.
Hava could feel his presence and she immediately bolted from the bed curling up in a corner to cover herself.
“What are you doing here?” She asked.
“Come with me” Ashton said giving her one last chance, he didn’t want to be away from his mate but staying in a pack which think that all he could ever be is an omega was hurtful to him.
“What do you mean come with me” she asked confused by his words, was he telling her to elope with him.
“I am leaving the pack, I want you to come with me” he stated stretching his hand to touch her, she retracted from him moving away.
“Are you stupid, you are telling me to leave my family and pack and follow you” she blurted out simply.
“I am your mate Hava, you deserve to be with me” he said softly trying not to e overheard again like last time.
“I had rejected you, I am no longer your mate.the earlier you accept it the better” Hava warned.
“You really don’t want to be with me” he asked for the last time, the pain of having her turn him down like he meant nothing to her was hunting him.
“Never” she answered.
“I Ashton Vane accept your rejection” He said lifting the burden off his shoulders, he like be lying if he said that he didn’t feel the pain of being rejected but he did, he acted strong in front of Hava so that she won’t see how hurt he was.
“Goodbye Hava” he said solemnly and left with a shattered heart.
Her wolf Daisy had been listening to everything and was mad that she would do such a thing and not heed to her advice earlier.
“I had told you not to reject him or let him go, you will regret it for the rest of your life” she said to her.
“He is just an ordinary Omega or is there something I need to know” Hava asked back, she wondered why Daisy was making a ruckus about rejecting him, she was certain that she didn’t need him and would never need him.
“I don’t care, I believe you can take care of yourself alone Hava, don’t you dar think I will save you when you are in trouble, I can only come back when our mate is back” Daisy clearly stated and shut herself away from Hava never to speak to her again.
“He is not my mate” Hava talked back but Daisy was gone.
“Are you really going to leave because of him, fine, go, I did well without you in my life and I can continue doing that” Hava answered selfishly,
‘Does she think I care if she is lost’ she thought when a sharp pain hit her chest.
“Daisy what is happening to me” She immediately called out to her after claiming she didn’t need her,
She felt her heart was being broken to a thousand pieces and it stung like hell, she could feel he whole body burning up and her head pounding nonstop.
Hava had never thought she would feel the pain of rejection because she was the one who rejected him but she was clutching unto her heart as if holding it from scattering on the ground and bleeding.
“Please make it stop Daisy” she begged but Daisy had cut her out not caring what could happen to her.
She let out a loud scream that alerted the whole pack including Alpha Nathan.
