Alpha Nathan’s visit to dark moon pack brought him great joy in hopes of seeing his daughter.
Without notifying Alpha Reid, he arrived alone and went in, What he saw shocked him greatly.
He found Hava kneeling in front of a woman as she slapped her hard.
“You ruined my cloth and you have the nerve to think I will forgive you for that” Lily said furious about her torn dress, she had given it to Hava to wash but she brought it back looking like rags.
“I don’t know what happened to it?” She apologized but that didn’t stop Lily from slapping her again.
“Who gave you the right to touch my daughter?” Alpha Nathan roared angrily, he was so furious about it that he slapped Lily and picked up Hava.
“Did you just slap me?” Lily said surprised, Hava was shocked to see her father all of a sudden.
“Dad” she cried on his shoulders and he tapped her head,
“It’s okay, Dad is here” he said hugging her tightly as she kept on crying.
Alpha Nathan was in a state of confusion about what was really going on, he wondered who the woman was and why she would dare to hurt the Luna of the Dark moon pack as he believed Hava was.
He sat Hava down waiting for her to look at him.
“What is happening, why would you be kneeling to her?” He asked.
“This place is a living hell, I have been maltreated right from the moment I stepped my feet here” Hava cried explaining it to him, she had held in her pain and grief for so long that when she saw her father, she had no choice than to cry her heart out.
“What do you mean, what is happening here? And where is Alpha Reid?” he asked more puzzled by what was going on.
“Does he know about this, is this the first time you have been maltreated by that woman?” He asked and she shaked her head.
He couldn’t believe that she had been through it before.
“The Alpha knows about it but he doesn’t care” she added and he got up from his seat furious and shocked at the same time.
“You mean you have been going through this and he does nothing” he reconfirmed.
“From the first day I came here, he never came to see and I thought he was just occupied by work but that wasn’t the issue.
He ignored me because I was just one of the mistresses he had acquired, the lady you saw earlier was the second mistress. She and the rest have been making my life here a living hell” she disclosed to him and Alpha Nathan felt broken. His daughter had been going through that much torture and he knew nothing about it assuming that she was fine and living her best life.
“Why didn’t you tell me” he asked.
“I didn’t know how I would reach you, I had tried to escape but the Alpha caught me and tortured me making sure that I would never leave again, he told me that I was just a breeder to him and nothing more.
Father please take me out of this hellhole, I can’t suffer like this anymore” she went on her knees holding his leg and crying all the more.
“Where is that damn Alpha, how could he do this to you?” Alpha Nathan’s anger had risen and he wanted so much to confront Alpha Reid for the torture he had put his daughter into. He stormed out of there and went straight to his office.
Alpha Reid was discussing with his beta when he barged in,
“You piece of shit, how could you do that to my daughter” he yelled angrily at him. Alpha Reid stared at him for a while before ordering his Beta to leave.
“Have a seat” he said calmly but Alpha Nathan wouldn’t listen,
“You expect me to seat down when my daughter has been in this pack going through hell” He barked at him and Alpha Reid got on his feet and twisted his lips.
“What did I tell you?” He said calmly.
“What do you mean?”
“Didn’t I tell you not to come here without informing me first?” He asked and Nathan clearly remembered that, now he understood why he had said so, he didn’t want him to realize that his daughter was going through hell in his pack.
“Am I supposed to inform you before I meet my daughter?
Why?
So that you can make her pretend like she was fine in front of me, so that she could smile and tell me everything is okay when deep down she is dying from emotional trauma.
Has this been your plot all along?” he stated taking everything he heard from Hava into consideration.
“If you had told me then you wouldn’t have to witness this, this is all your fault” Alpha Reid told him sitting back in his seat.
“What did you just say?” He asked, by the look on Reid face, he could tell that he didn’t regret what he did to his daughter not even in front of him.
“I am taking my daughter back, I can’t have her suffering here” he stated.
“You wouldn’t dare to do that” Alpha Reid got up angrily.
“Your daughter is now in my possession which means that she belongs to me and I can do whatever I want with her, you had signed the contract yourself and it is irreversible” he continued making Nathan look stupid before him.
He was lost on what to say or do, he had indeed signed the contract giving his daughter off to him but he didn’t know he was signing his daughter’s death wish. He could see the hurt in Hava’s eyes and knew she wouldn’t survive it.
“I do not care about any contract, I am taking my daughter back with me” he replied and Reid laughed.
“I dare you to take her back, I would so make sure that I lay waste to your pack, I would kill each and every member of your pack including your mate, I will save the last kill for you and then take your daughter away once again. This time I would make her torture her much greater until she would beg to end her life but I wouldn’t allow her” Reid threatened.
Alpha Nathan fell on his chair weak and hurt, he was a father but yet he couldn’t do anything to protect his daughter.
“Don’t forget that your pack is indebted to me, I am the reason why you have won countless wars, without my pack then your pack would be nothing but ruins.
So do not think you can defy me and take your daughter away because I will rain hell on you” he warned.
Alpha Nathan looked so pitiful hearing his threats, he knew he meant every single words and he was lost on what to decide on, he had to choose between his pack and his daughter and he held them both in high respect.
“Please” he said humbling himself,
“Please let me take my daughter away, for the sake of the friendship we have just let her go I beg you” he pleaded with him letting go of his pride, it was his daughter they were talking about and he couldn’t sit still and watch her suffer.
“I say Never” Alpha Reid answered.
The door to his office opened and five guards appeared in front of Nathan.
“Escort Alpha Nathan out and make sure that he goes back alone” he ordered.
Alpha Nathan was dragged out of his office, he kept on yelling to Reid to let his daughter go, the grip the men had on him was quite strong and because of how old he had gotten he wasn’t strong enough to fight back.
“I am not leaving without my daughter” he yelled as they pushed him inside his car.
“Dad” Hava saw what was going on and ran out to meet him, she wanted to follow him but was grabbed by the beta who held her tightly.
“Let me go” she kicked and screamed but he didn’t bulge.
“Daisy, if you can hear me please help me” she pleaded to her wolf to help her escape the hefty man holding her but there was no response from her wolf, she had completely abandoned her leaving her to fight for herself.
“Leave Alpha Nathan or I will make sure that you never see your daughter again” Alpha Reid says stepping out to cool the scene, his threat got to Alpha Nathan, he looked at his daughter one last time in pain and drove off.
“Dad” Hava screamed watching him go, it hurt so much that she couldn’t follow him. Just when she thought she was going to be set free, her dreams were shattered once again.
“Lock her up in her room” he commanded.
