At the dark moon pack, a guard stepped into Lily's room and immediately locked the door.
"Did anyone see you?" Lily asked with a face laced with worry,
"No" a tall handsome man answered standing before her.
"We have to be more cautious now, I don't want anyone knowing about us" she said.
The man just stood there brazen even after she hugged him,
"Why didn't you tell the Alpha that he isn't the father of the child" he asked.
"Are you crazy Richard?
Do you want both of us to be executed?
How the hell do you expect me to tell the Alpha that the child isn't his but that of his guard when we both know very well that I belong to him.
Does that sound right to you?" She questioned seeing how unreasonable he acted.
Lily and Richard had been seeing each other behind Alpha Reid's back and they suddenly fell in love which led to her being pregnant.
At first she was worried about what could happen but an idea struck her head and she lied to the Alpha that the child was his without consulting Richard.
"But still, I don't like the way he is acting, the child is mine and not his.
I don't want anything to happen to my child or you" Richard explained his true worries, he loved Lily so much that he didn't want her getting into any harm. He was frightened by what might happen if the Alpha found out the truth.
"You worry too much, I have everything in my control and nothing bad could happen to us.
Besides we have you to protect us right" she said wrapping his hands around her currently big stomach.
"I would do anything for you and the child but I can't help but feel scared,
I had already committed a crime by sleeping with you and getting you pregnant and then the lie about the child being his, my sins are just too great for me to feel relaxed about.
Each time I see the Alpha I pictured his hand on my neck strangling me to death for deceiving him" he stated still worried.
Richard was not just an ordinary guard but the chief guard, he was one of the men Alpha Reid trusted aside from his Beta and Gamma, he knew how grievous his punishment would be if the truth was out.
"I get the same dream too, don't think I am not scared about what he might do because I am, I know he wouldn't be kind enough to spare the child or my life but we have no choice, if we say the truth then we are dead.
I prefer lying to his face and staying alive than telling the truth and facing the consequences" she relayed to him staring into his frightful eyes, she could see so much concern and fear in them just like hers.
"Promise me Lily,
Promise me that whatever decision I make you will stand by it with me, I can't afford to lose you to the Alpha, I would be devastated" Richard feared that Alpha Reid might keep Lily all to himself and never allow him to have her again.
Lily touched his chin and smiled, she pulled him closer to her and kissed him,
"No man can take me away from you, you are the only one who has shown me what happiness feels like, you made me feel safe and loved, that is something I have never felt in my life.
I would never leave you Richard, I love you so much to even think of doing that" she confessed to him making him feel relaxed about it.
Lily considered her life to be a blessing when she met Richard, she was reluctant about it before and tried to avoid him but with time she couldn't resist his charms and fell madly in love with him. Her life finally had a purpose and it was all because of him, because he came into her life and made her feel like she mattered to him rather than the life she was living as the mistress of the pack regarded as just a sex slave for the Alpha.
"I love you too Lily, you and my child mean the world to me and I would do anything for you two" he answered blinking his beautiful eyes at her.
"I can't wait for our child to come into this world, it would be he happiest day of my life" she disclosed to him and he felt excited about it too.
The feeling of being a father gripped him and he wanted nothing else than to be a perfect father to the child giving the child everything he could ever offer.
"What name would you love to give the child?" She asked excited, her joy of being a mother superseded the fear of death at the mercy of Alpha Reid, she became eager to get to know her child more that she was no longer worried.
"I don't know if it is a boy or a girl, when will you have your check up, I want to be there with you" he said hoping to be among the first people to know the gender of his child.
"Tomorrow" she answered with a smile, he went on his knee and lifted up her blouse,
"Hi baby, your father is extremely excited to bring you into this world" he whispered to her baby bump, kissed it and then placed his ear on it, the heart beat of the child made him leap for joy.
He was super excited about it and wished to begin a family with her immediately.

Rebecca had invited Hava to her room to discuss what next she could to Lily.
"How about pushing her down the stairs, she would easily lose the baby that way" She suggested.
Rebecca sought by all means to make sure the Lily lost the child and also the right to be the Luna of the pack.
She couldn't let her take away a title she had desired so much, it was the first thing she had thought of when she was brought to the Pack but her dreams was cut short when she couldn't bear the Alpha a child making her lose it all.
Rebecca was beginning to wonder why she couldn't bear a child until other mistresses came and the condition was the same for them too then she suddenly felt relaxed about it until Lily became pregnant.
"The Alpha will kill you before you could even think of enjoying the pleasure of killing the child" Hava stated.
She recollected how Alpha Coast almost killed her for making Bella lose her child, at that moment she thought she was going to die and would never see the light of day again, there was so much hatred in his eyes for her and she believed he could have killed her at that moment if he wasn't stopped by his Gamma.
"Okay then, how about hiring some men to kidnap her and kill her along with the child. That way they will never suspect me" Rebecca gave another,
She needed ways to get rid of Lily and make sure her title was secured, she wouldn't be in such a state if she hadn't been pregnant, now that she was then she would face the consequences of going against her, Rebecca may not be able to give birth to a child but she swore to make sure that none of them did.
"The Alpha would investigate it, do you think he will let the death of his unborn child go scott free, he will hunt you and eventually find you"
Such an offense Rebecca was thinking of committing might put her five feet under the ground. The Alpha wasn't stupid enough to think that the death of his son was just a mistake and was planned.
He would definitely suspect someone and the mistresses would be the first on the list bringing them through series of torture until someone confessed the truth about harming Lily and the child.
"Why don't you come up with ideas rather than object the ones I have made.
I don't see you making any suggestions" Rebecca said angrily, she was tired of her telling her that her plans wouldn't work when she wasn't bringing anything to the table.
Just because she was mated to the Gamma and unbothered but not being the Luna doesn't mean she couldn't help her, they were partners now and she needed her help of she wanted her to keep her secret safe from the Alpha then she had to start contributing to help her come up with a plan.
"Why don't you just talk to the Alpha about this and tell him what you want.
He might listen to you and reconsider making you the Luna instead" Hava advised.
She believed there were other ways to become the Luna rather than spilling the blood of an innocent child. She thought maybe the Alpha would listen to her because she was the oldest mistress and deserved to be the Luna that Lily who was making her feel like her presence in the pack house was unimportant and insignificant and she could easily take the title from her.
"Talk to the Alpha, how do you think that would work out"
Rebecca had always know the Alpha to be hot tempered and never listen to a word others had to say, he made decisions by himself and made others implement them and obey them.
She had never talked to the Alpha about anything important, all he did was come into her room when he wanted her, sleeps with her and then leave at whatever time he dimmed fit.
He had never for once asked for her opinions anything and she had never complained about it.
"You don't know what could happen unless you try, maybe he is just waiting for you to speak up" Hava stated.
She had never expected Alpha Reid to change like that just after Lily got pregnant, he had turned the pack house into a circus making sure that she was well taken care.
The omegas were at her service and he made sure that she lacked nothing, this was a reaction she had never expected from an Alpha like him, it was shocking to her to know that he could actually change like that.
"Fine, I will talk to him and hear what he has to say but if things turn sideways then we are proceeding with the plan of killing Lily and the child.
You are with me on that and don't you dare think of betraying me or two timing me if you don't want your secret out in the open, it would be very ugly if the Alpha found out about your relationship with the Gamma" she threatened her and Hava glared at her hatefully, she wouldn't be conniving with her if she didn't know her secret in the first place.
"You don't need to say that out loud, I am very sure of the predicament I am in" Hava answered as she watched her walk pridefully out of the room.
She wished she could smash her face against the wall or slit her throat to make sure that she could never speak again or tell anyone the truth about her relationship with Ashton.
Because of Rebecca, she became extremely cautious of her environment, she wouldn't let Ashton into her room again so that she wouldn't get caught by anyone else making her do things she wouldn't want to do just so that her secret could be kept safe.
