Rebecca paced round her room after hearing a shocking detail from standing outside Lily's door.
She couldn't just close her lips as she kept thinking about what she had heard,
"So the child is not even the Alpha's" she said to herself, she had gone to confront Lily about the title of the Luna and overheard her conversation with Richard, she almost missed it because of how low they were speaking but when she listened carefully, she could hear everything.
"This is huge, this is beyond what I had expected" she beamed for joy, now she was finally able to get back at Lily.
She could threaten her with the truth and make her denounce the title of the Luna leaving it all to her.
"There are so many secrets in this pack house" she exclaimed.
Rebecca seemed to be the only one who knew what was going on, at first she found out that Hava and the Gamma were mates and now she just found out that the child Alpha Reid thought was his, was actually the child of his chief guard.
She felt on top of the world being the only one who knew their secrets, she already had Hava in the palm of her hand and Lily would also bend to her will.
"And to think he made a fuss over an heir when the child isn't his and that darn wretch easily deceived him into thinking so".
She swore to make Lily bow to her and beg her not to expose her secret, she intended to make her pay for making a mockery out of her in front of the Alpha.
"With all that is going on, I could tear this whole pack apart if I just let their secrets slip, Alpha Reid would feel so betrayed and have no choice but to come to me and then the title of the Luna would be given to me and Lily would be exterminated.
As for Hava and the Gamma, they better not cross my path or else there would be chaos" she warned.
"This is like killing two birds with one stone, by the time I am done with you Lily, you would beg for me to spare your life but I would rather watch you die for the embarrassment you have caused me.
I don't care if your are pregnant or not, as far as the child is alive, you are a threat to me.
Let's see how much you are willing to go to make sure that you become the Luna of this pack because I am ready for whatever show you try to put up" she stated firmly with one hand on her waist and her lips twitching to the side.
"Its payback time" she smiled swinging her hand in the air like she had a magic wand which could do wonders but she did have a secret that could put her on top of everyone else in the pack house and she planned on using it to her advantage.

A day had passed and Alpha Reid visited Lily again to get the feedback on what he had proposed to her.
He sat beside her on the bed crossing his leg,
"What brings you here again Alpha Reid?" Lily asked surprised,
It was too early in the morning to get a visit from him but he still came.
"To get the response of what I asked you, we can have the Luna ceremony in three weeks time if you want and officially announce you to the pack" he said convincing her.
Lily though about Richard and the request he made to elope with him, she had already considered his offer and wanted to be with him, anywhere with him was the safest place she could ever be.
"Alpha Reid, I don't think I would make a good Luna for this pack" she objected and he frowned knowing she wanted to reject his offer in a polite manner.
"Are you rejecting my offer because of Rebecca or you have a really good reason for doing that?" He asked thinking Rebecca must have gotten to her to make her want to reject a position she actually wanted.
"No, it's not that, it's just that..
Ouch" her statement was cut short when she felt a kick in her stomach, she touched her belly to be sure if the baby kicked and the child did it again.
"He kicked" she said in excitement,
"The baby kicked, he is a boy" Alpha Reid became extremely happy finding out that his heir was actually a boy. He touched her stomach and he actually felt the child kick, his heart skipped and began beating faster.
Lily watched him surprised, this was the first time she had ever seen him smiling and it marveled but then she got distracted and felt sad that Richard wasn't the first person to hear his son kick.
When they went to check the gender of the child, he was super excited to know that it was a boy, just watching dance around in joy made her happy. She wished to tell him the great news tonight when she visits him.
"You are going to make a perfect Luna and my son would be the next Alpha of the pack" Alpha Reid said and Lily was struck.
"Did he just say Alpha, was he going to make her son the Alpha of the pack" she asked herself to be certain of what she heard.
"Next Alpha?"
"Yes, did you think he was going to be an omega, he is the next Alpha of the pack after me, when he turns 20, I would give my pack to him.
That is a promise" he replied.
Lily couldn't utter a word anymore, she had never thought of her son being the Alpha, she had just believed he would be the son of the Alpha and nothing more.
"You will make my son the Alpha" she asked again for clarification.
"Not just your son being the Alpha but I will also make you my Luna being the first woman to ever conceive a child for me.
You will be respected by all and you would be taken good care of here in the castle" he answered and her eyes widened in shock, all that he said was luxury she had always wished for.
To have the omegas attending to her, to be treated like a Queen, no one could dare to oppose her because she was the Luna and she could finally show the other mistresses that she was more superior than them.
"What do you think, this is an opportunity of a lifetime?" He inquired.
He had struck the perfect deal into making Lily accept his offer, anyone would want their son to be the Alpha of a pack and Lily was no exception, she had lived her life in the castle regarded as a mistress and she got little or no respect from everyone but now she could have all that by being the Luna.
"I accept" Lily answered greedily, she was so blinded by the luxury she would have that she didn't care about Richard and the love they shared together.
Alpha Reid stood up and smiled,
"Good, your Luna ceremony is in three weeks time" he said and then left.
"Luna, I like the sound of that" Lily said raising her head up her and laughing slowly.
She thought to herself that she deserved it for all the hardship she had to go through, it was time to reap her harvest and enjoy and it being the Luna of the Dark moon pack was her reward then she was ready to take it.
"Luna Lily, I bet Rebecca will never see this coming.
My son would get to be the Alpha of the pack" she murmured.
Late in the night, Lily snuck out to visit Richard, she knocked on his door and from her scent, he knew it was her.
"Lily" she kissed her just after closing the door but she pushed him away.
"What is wrong?, did I do anything wrong?" He asked confused, he was certain that he hadn't done anything to upset her.
"I thought about what you said and my answer is no, I can't run away with you" she said looking at him dead in the eye.
Richard was puzzled by what was happening,
"What happened?
Did they Alpha threaten you?" He questioned scared that the Alpha might know the truth about what happened.
"If we elope where would we go to?, do you have any specific place in mind?" She asked.
"No but what matters is that we are together and away from this place" he replied.
Richard had lived his whole life serving the Alpha by being the son of the chief warrior, he assumed his father's position after his father died and has been serving since then, he knew no where outside the boundary of the pack but he was sure that he could find a way no matter what.
"You have no place in mind and you want me to elope with you, do you want me to suffer, you want my child to suffer" she yelled at him.
"When you said you loved me and would do anything for me, this was what you meant, Is this how far your love can go.
You want to make me starve out there when I could enjoy luxury here in this pack, is that what you want for me?" She bursted out in anger.
Richard didn't see the reason why she was furious,
"Lily, the idea is for us to get out of this pack and know that we are safe then we can think about how to start our life" he pleaded with her.
"Can you actually listen to yourself, you want to take me out there to suffer, we'll let me tell you that I am not coming with you.
I will remain in this pack and make sure that my son becomes the Alpha of this pack" she blurted out to him and he understood why she changed.
She was given a better offer by Alpha Reid, a more enticing offer that could make her change her mind and decide to reject him and everything they have ever shared.
"So this is all because he promised that my son would be the Alpha, and what else did he say, that he would make you the Luna.
Open your eyes Lily to see that you are putting yourself in danger, if the Alpha finds out the truth that the child isn't his then we will be in trouble" he said wishing she would listen to him and open her eyes to see what she was getting herself into.
"We?
There is no we,
It is over between us Richard and don't you dare think of telling anyone that the child is yours if you don't want me to kill myself and the child.
I am not going to live a life of poverty when I can enjoy everything I want right here in this pack as the Luna" she barked at him.
Richard grabbed her hand and stared at her scared,
"Tell me this is a joke, you are not leaving me because of that, you can't take my child away from me, I won't let you do that" he said with his voice shaking.
"Like I said, it is over between us.
Don't ever come to me again because I will accuse you for trying to harass me. Don't dare me Richard" she said and stormed out of there.
Richard watched his life take an upside down turn, how did things end up being like that. This was what he feared the most, he feared that the Alpha would entice her taking her away from him and he did just that.
All he did was love her and try to protect her but yet she choose a title over him and even threatened him to stay away from his child, he was Devastated and lost on what to do.
