The next day,
Cabello was fed up of Lucian bugging to see Denise so he decided to take her away.
"Pack your things, we are leaving" he ordered.
Denise was startled by the change, he hadn't mentioned anything to her about leaving, when he sent her away,he sent out to find refuge stating he would join her and they could settle together and now he wanted to leave.
"What!
Why, to where?
Why do we have to move again" she asked standing up from her seat.
"Do you have to ask that, you already know the reason to that question" he said packing her things instead because he knew that she wouldn't want to do it herself.
"Is it because of Lucian, can't you forgive him already" she pleaded with him, she didn't want to be separated from Lucian.
Just two days ago she was with him and she felt happy and safe, she wanted to feel that way again and not be separated from him.
"Forgive him, you want me to forgive him after what he did to you.
You may be able to forgive him because you think he is your mate but I can never forgive him for it. He turned you into a fucking wolf" he let out angrily.
"What is wrong with being a wolf, you are a wolf too?" She questioned him.
He sharply turned towards her wondering where she got that defiance from, Denise had always been obedient to him without asking any question at all because he was the only family she had.
"Are you telling me that you have forgotten what they did to your family, you want to tell me that you don't know how I actually became a wolf.
Did I ask for this in the first place" he barked at her. She was acting so childish to him because she didn't want to leave.
"No but you seemed fine with it, besides being a wolf isn't that bad as you claim it to be" she replied.
Cabello couldn't believe his ears, he wondered how much she had changed just from the few months he had been away from her. He blamed Lucian for it, he blamed him for making her that way.
"Is that what you have to say, just because you are now a wolf you think all wolves are different.
Tell me, the animals that killed yours parents weren't they wolves?" He asked making her recall her past.
"They were" she reluctantly answered.
"And what did your mother say to you before she died" he asked again.
"Don't be like them" she replied recalling the last words her mother said before she died.
"I shouldn't have let you leave, I should have protected you and came here with you, this is all my fault" He said blaming himself for letting her turn into what her parents never wanted her to be. He had failed in protecting her.
"Yes this is your fault.
I had begged you to not send me away but you wouldn't listen and this is what happened" she turned her back to him, recalling what her mother had said to her before her death had affected her mood abs she felt bad for going against her wishes.
Cabello walked up to her and stood in front of her, he held her hand and lifted up her face.
"I'm sorry for sending you away, if I knew better then I wouldn't have done so but I thought that was the only way to protect you.
We can still work things out, just trust me and come with me.
Let's leave this place, you know you are the only family I have" he spoke softly to her and Denise was convinced, she had no other choice than to follow him and they left the pack in the morning.
By 2pm Lucian arrived knocking at the door, it was strange for him to find it open so he walked in, he found none of her things in the house and he began to panic.
"Denise" he called her name, he searched everyone to the point that he asked the neighbors but they claimed they hadn't seen anything.
Lucian went back to the house to search for a clue about where they could be but he found nothing, he tried to reach her through the mind-link but it wasn't reachable at all, it would have been easier to know if she was still in the pack and had blocked communication with him but this was different, he couldn't reach her at all.
"Denise where are you?" He yelled her name wishing she could hear him.
He was distressed thinking about where she could be, where Cabello could have taken her to. He knew it was him because only him would be able to convince her to be away from him because he was family to her.
The nightmares he had about her began flashing in his brain, he could vaguely see how Cabello sliced her neck and he couldn't keep still, his hands were shaking.
Was the dream really coming through, was this how Cabello was going to kill Denise. His guts was telling him that her death was drawing near and he might not be able to do anything to stop it as usual.
He ran back towards the Castle and straight towards Alpha Coast office, he opened it without knocking.
"She is gone" he stated.
Alpha Coast immediately understood who he meant, only Denise could shake him up in such manner.
"So he took her away" he replied folding his arms, he was furious that Cabello would dare take Denise out of the pack without his permission making his Gamma worried like a lost puppy.
"I need to go find her" Lucian stated, he was eager to catch up with them, he was already fearing the worst about what might actually happen to her.
"Have a seat Lucian" Alpha Coast ordered, his Gamma was so hot tempered that he could guess that if he found Cabello then he would surely kill him which would make things turn uglier than they really were.
Lucian sat down immediately but he was uneasy,
"What would you do when you find them?" He asked.
"I will take her back" he answered.
"And what if she doesn't want to come with you, what if she chooses her uncle over you?" Alpha Coast asked him, he could play the whole scenario in his head and knew Lucian was bound to do two things, forcefully take her back which would annoy her or be broken by her rejection, he wanted neither of that to happen to him.
"Why wouldn't she want to return with me?" Lucian asked, he didn't see any reason why Denise wouldn't want to go back with him, she was his mate and she loved him dearly, he could bet that she was forced into leaving.
"Did you think she didn't think about you when she made the decision to follow her uncle and leave, do you think he forced her?" Alpha Coast asked him.
"Yes, I am certain he forced her" He answered and Alpha Coast laughed.
Lucian frowned just by seeing him laugh,
"What?
Am I not allowed to laugh at your stupidity, you use to be the sensible one but all that has gone because you have found your mate.
Now you understand what I went through.
Either way, I believe Denise would choose her uncle over you and would refuse to come back with you.
Cabello has been with her all her life, it wouldn't be easier to trust him than trust you that she just met for a few months" Alpha Coast explained.
"But I am her mate" he objected.
"Denise was human before you turned her into a wolf, she still thinks like a human and doesn't know how sacred a mate bond is. She thinks what she has for you is just love and not a supernatural force binding you two together.
I won't stop you from going in search of her but I don't want you to make any decision that would make your mate hate you. Gain her trust first because right now you have been made the villain by her uncle.
You are permitted to leave" Alpha Coast told him after giving him a few warning, Lucian stood up on his feet ready to leave.
"Lucian, there is something you need to know about Cabello.
He has never submitted to a pack before which means he is a..."
"Rogue" Lucian completed the sentence.
"Be careful" he warned and he left.
Lucian packed his things ready to leave when he met Bella, she looked at him confused about why he was leaving.
"Where are you going to?" She asked him.
"Cabello took Denise" he relayed to her.
"Cabello, you mean her uncle.
Why would he do that?"
She asked, Bella wondered why Denise's uncle would take Denise away when he knew they were mates and shouldn't be separated from each other because it might take a toll on them.
"I don't know but I need to find them as soon as possible" he stated.
"You will,
Just be careful out there" she advised and he left.
Bella walked towards Alpha Coast Office,
"Lucian is leaving to find his mate, doesn't he need a few guards to go with him" she asked him.
"If he went with them then Cabello would take it as a sign of war,
He is stronger by himself but I just hope he doesn't end up killing Cabello because he want to take Denise back.
He doesn't believe that Denise left out of free will, he thinks she was forced into leaving" Alpha Coast stated.
Bella sat on his laps while he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Do you think she would be able to leave him like that, I know how much Denise loves him" she relayed to him doubting if that was true.
"If you were asked to choose your family or your mate, who would you choose?" He asked.
"My family" she hastily answered and he felt hurt a bit by it but there was no competition, Bella actually loved her family and that was why she wanted to avenge their death.
"You see what I mean" he stated and she picked his point.
"What about you, would you choose your family or your mate?" She asked.
"I choose you" he answered without thinking, she was his number one and he couldn't see anyone else beside her.
She got up to her feet in shock,
"Why would you choose me?" She yelled, she thought he would also choose his family as she did.
"Because my life would be miserable without you" he pulled her back to him and kissed her fiercely.
