Two days had passed and it was time for the execution of Richard, he was led out of the dungeon towards the center, where he was bright down on his knees.
The pack members were all present to watch his execution including Lily who was forced to watch it being held by two guards.
"Let this set as a warning to anyone who dares to deceive the Alpha and think he could go Scott free.
Richard has been accused of impregnating the Alpha's mistress, he confessed to his crimes and would face his punishment" the announcer said.
Richard's eyes were fixed on Lily as he watched her cry for him, he felt broken that he wasn't able to protect her and his child even after he swore to do that.
"Lily" he said through the mind link knowing she could hear him clearly.
"I'm sorry.
I know I had promised to protect you and my child and I have failed in doing both.
I should have been able to uphold my promise to you and I feel regretful that I didn't, the moments I had with you were the best moments of my life.
You taught me how to love, you showed me a reason to keep on living and for that I am grateful.
I will always love you Lily, I love you and my child. I may not be here again but know that we would meet again and I would never let you be separated from me" he said feeling deeply sorry for not keeping the woman he loved safe, he was beginning to regret why he accepted the child was his in front of the Alpha. He should have just lied and then they wouldn't be at such point where he would be executed and separated from his family.
"I am sorry that I didn't follow your plan, this is all my fault" he felt guilty.
"This is not not your fault Richard, it is actually mine.
I should have listened to you and followed you wherever you wanted to go, I shouldn't have given in to my greed to be the Luna, this is all my fault and I am sorry that I failed you.
You are the best thing that has happened to me too, I hope we meet again and we could be together and never be separated" She answered him with tears in her eyes, her heart ached so much to see him that way because of her.
Richard was pushed down but all those while he kept his eyes on her with so much grief in his heart, he was going to miss her so much and he didn't know the fate that awaited her.
"I love you Lily" he uttered.
"I love you too" she said.
The sword was lifted in the air, a tear drop fell from his eyes once Lily saw it, she felt the urge to run to him and embrace him. She struggled with the guards to set her free, she pushed them and ran towards him but it was too late.
Richard's head was severed from his body and it rolled down to her feet, Lily watched in shock. She fell on her knees and let out a shrilled scream in pain. It hurt so much more now that he was gone. She missed him so much even though they had just talked for a few seconds.
"Richard" she yelled his name grieving, tears rolled out of her eyes for him. She wished she was able to save him, she wished she was there for him, she wished she had listened to him and eloped as he suggested. She had so many life regrets at that moment, she had just lost the only man who loved her and was never afraid of showing it to her.
Even she went astray, he stood by her and never stopped loving her but instead she killed him.
"I will join you soon" she said touching his head.
"Grab her" Alpha Reid yelled disgusted by her act in front of the whole crowd.
He was so satisfied seeing her pain, after she had deceived him about the child being his, he felt no remorse for her, he was glad to see her break to pieces.
Standing behind him was Rebecca with no expression on her face, she watched the whole scene and she was unaffected by it.
"She deserved it" she whispered and walked away.
The guards grabbed Lily taking her back to the dungeon, she kept on wailing and crying over Richard, she wanted so much to see him again, she wished she could turn back the hand of time and correct the mistakes that she made.
His death had made her realize how much of an impact he had created on her and knowing that he won't be back again only made her more desperate for him.
She was thrown harshly to the dungeon floors and where she continued crying.
She held unto her stomach weeping that the father of her unborn child was actually gone.
"He is gone, your father is really gone" she said drowning herself in her own tears and sorrows until she fell asleep on the hard floor.

In the midst of all the chaos, Ashton had already figured out a way to get Hava out of the pack safety, while everyone was busy after the death of Richard and the Alpha was officially unavailable, He saw it as the best time to leave.
"Hava" He snuck into her room with a back pack, Hava was getting changed when he walked in.
"Ashton someone could see you" she whispered in a warning.
The pack house was filled up with more guards because of the execution, it was a night to grief the exit of their chief guard and they sought to drink themselves to stupor.
"I was thorough, we need to leave" he said dropping his bags.
"Leave" Hava stated confused, she didn't understand what he meant by leave.
"Yes, we need to leave this pack now, get the thing you need" he said but she was still in doubt.
Hava may have told him that they needed to leave the pack but she did not expect that he would have that ready in just two days time.
"I don't understand, how are we going to leave when the pack house is heavily guarded" she questioned his decision.
He grabbed her by the shoulders and caused her to look at him.
"I had promised to get you out of here and this is me keeping that promise. There is no better time to leave this pack than now. The Alpha is out because of the execution and the guards are honoring the death of their leader.
We will wait until they are fully drunk and asleep then we would sneak out without anyone noticing.
Just a guard is at the border so it is easy to knock him down and make our way out" he explained the plan to her. Hava packed her things immediately, she couldn't believe she was actually getting out of the hell hole of a pack which had kept her in for a year and an abusive Alpha who only sought after sleeping with her and getting an heir which wasn't what the had agreed about in the first place.
"We are actually leaving" she said in excitement as she packed her things, she didn't want to pack much so that no one would easily notice that she was gone. She picked up a few necessary things that she would need into a bag he had brought for her.
"Where would we stay, have you thought of that.
Do you have a house outside this pack" she asked him eager to begin a new family with him.
"No but I will find a way, all that matters now is how to get you out of here without anyone noticing or alerting the Alpha" he stated what was most important to him.
He couldn't think about where they would sleep at the moment because when he watched Richard being brutally murdered he thought about himself and he was terrified. He didn't want that fate for himself, he didn't want Hava crying over him, he wanted them to be happy together and right now Alpha Reid was in the way of that.
Being in the damn pack was keeping them from starting a family together which was what they wanted more than anything.
"I can't wait to be out of here to start a new life with you" she said and Ashton was happy to see her happy, he wished he could make her more happier by getting her out of the pack safely.
They waited for a few hours and then the pack house was as quiet as a graveyard that was when they knew it was time to leave.
Ashton packed their things and opened the door when Hava grabbed his hand halting for. Minute.
He thought she was now having second thoughts about leaving,
"What's wrong, don't you want to leave" he asked still holding his hand,
"Ofcourse I do, I just felt a sharp pain in my stomach but I am fine now" she said and smiled, Hava was more eager than Ashton to leave because she had suffered more in the pack. She was fooled by Alpha Reid thinking that he loves her and wound actually make her his Luna but all that turned into a lie and she was being tortured and represented as one of the mistresses.
"Okay let's go" he said moving a step forward when she screamed.
Ashton instantly panicked as he threw the bags back inside,
"Are you okay?" He asked in fear,
"I can't bear it anymore, the pain is too much" she let out puzzling him. Ashton was so confused about what was going on, they were so close to getting their freedom and now this, he even thought for a split second that she was playing a prank on him but when he saw how much pain she was in, he knew it was serious.
"Is it your stomach?" He asked and she nodded her head.
He instantly became frightened about what could be happening to his child, he found coming out of her legs, he had no choice than to rush her to the hospital hoping that his child was safe.
