"Help me!! Help me...!!" I kept running and didn't look back. They kept chasing me relentlessly.
Damn! Who are they actually? I kept running and finally arrived at a house that I had never known before. It felt like I didn't expect to find a house in the middle of this jungle.
"Where am I and who are these people?"
I held my stomach while running. In my mind, I had to run and hide. I had to save myself and the baby in my womb.
"I'm pregnant? What is actually happening here?" I asked myself while continuously staring at my growing belly. "God, I'm pregnant!?"
However, I couldn't stop running even though my mind kept questioning what was happening. And the house seemed like just a silhouette now. Making me more confused and kept running. I was tired and scared at the same time.
"Finish that woman!"
I heard their voices that seemed very excited to chase me. Making me more scared and holding my stomach even tighter. Somehow, I felt like I had to save the baby inside my body.
"She must die. She carries an Alpha's child. Its birth will make our clan fall apart."
I heard their words and became more confused. "I'm sure they mean me." I asked myself.
"Alex... Alex... Wake up!!"
"Alex. Wake up. Billy will finish his meeting soon!"
I faintly heard Margareth's voice. I tried to open my eyes and found myself sweating. Not just ordinary sweat, but very wet.
"You had a nightmare, Alex?" Margareth asked while wiping the sweat that flowed on my forehead. "Is the AC broken? Why are you sweating like this?" she continued with a strange expression on her face.
I was also strange with my own condition. This was the third time I had the same dream. A dream that was always the same. I was running away in the woods with red-colored trees. I was even confused whether the tree was actually red or just my imagination?
"I had the same dream. This is the third time," I replied to Margareth. Then I sat up and saw my own sweat seeping through the clothes I was wearing.
"I will take a change of clothes. Our size is the same. You can't meet Billy in this condition," Margareth replied again then went to get a change of clothes in her personal locker.
"Thank you. Please hold Billy for me. I'll change clothes quickly."
I rushed to the toilet. Margareth knew well the relationship that developed between me and Billy. She only caught our strangeness after an interview with Mr. White. I was pushed to speak and finally agreed. Me, an introvert, finally melted with all of Margareth's attitude. Besides, she was also the best office friend I ever had.
"Where's Alex?" Billy asked as soon as he arrived at our office. I, who was standing behind the toilet door, just smiled hearing him looking for me. I thought I could build something other than just sex with him.
"There she is!" Margareth answered, who I was sure was pointing to the toilet door. I just smiled and continued to unbutton my wet shirt in the room.
Creak...!
I immediately looked towards the door and saw Billy standing. Staring at me with a meaningful look. I didn't know what was on his mind right now. Why did he come in here? Suddenly I forgot that this was a Unisex Toilet.
"What's up, Billy?" I asked confused because I saw Billy locking the toilet door.
"I miss you, Alex!" he said before kissing me suddenly. I was holding onto a button on my shirt and was taken aback, slowly placing my hands on her shoulders and enjoying our passionate kiss.
"What's wrong? Are you angry?" I asked while resting our foreheads together. Billy seemed uneasy right now.
"I'll wait for you at my apartment, Alex!"
I was silent. I was confused because I had plans with my friend Mia today. But rejecting Billy's invitation wasn't an option for me. Maybe it would be a good idea to bring Billy along to Mia's place and then possibly end up at his apartment.
"What's wrong? Don't you want to? Should I come to your apartment?" Billy asked, noticing the change in my facial expression.
"I still live with my parents," I replied, touching his chest, which was open at the top three buttons.
"You're old enough to live on your own, I think?"
"Yes. I just don't like being alone. That's all." I looked down, finding it increasingly difficult to ask Billy if he would come with me.
"So? Do you want to go to my apartment?" I nodded. "But, can you accompany me to a place first?" I finally asked Billy. Whatever his answer would be, I would accept it. This was a big step for me to start opening up and communicating better instead of just accepting all the bad treatment and words from others.
"I'm sure you don't need lingerie because you're sexy enough for me, Alex!" Billy said, seducing me while squeezing my butt.
"It's not like that. Mia invited me to her event. My friend is forcing me to bring a partner."
Billy closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
"I'm not a trophy, Alex."
"I know, and I don't think of you that way. And I'm not that kind of woman either. I think I'm pretty relaxed when it comes to romance."
Silence...
"I'm just being honest with you. That's all," I continued.
Billy seemed to be assessing my current situation, weighing whether I was worthy of being with him. I felt very small. I'm insecure, that's my problem. I'm thinking about a lot of things. I don't mind if he rejects me. Even though I hope he doesn't. And I want to stop overthinking now.
"Okay."
I smiled and felt relieved. Unconsciously, I pulled his jaw and kissed him again on the lips. Our lips were busy, sucking and biting each other. I felt that Billy was very passionate right now. Angry and passionate. I didn't know which one and I didn't want to guess.
It wasn't just a kiss. Billy immediately turned my body around and attacked me.
"Quick sex?" he said, raising my skirt roughly and holding onto my body with his left hand. It was a fast and wild lovemaking session. I liked it because Billy and his masculinity always intoxicated me.
"I hope Margareth keeps her mouth shut," Billy said after finally releasing his lips and speaking with his still-heavy breathing.
"Don't worry. She's not that kind of woman."
We left the bathroom at the same time after I changed into dry clothes. Margareth just lowered her glasses and looked at both of us, then shook her head in the direction of my desk. I silently thanked her and left the bathroom with a casual attitude. Shortly afterward, Billy followed me. I was lucky that there was no one visiting our office, and there was only Margareth there.
Mia House
"So Billy? Does this boss-assistant relationship extend to the bedroom and beyond...romantically?" Nate asked as we gathered behind the house. I immediately looked at Nate with a death stare behind these glasses, while Stevan burst out laughing at Nate's question and immediately made me angry.
"Definitely...!" Billy's short answer made me speechless.
Was he sure about that? I myself wasn't sure if our sexual relationship would develop that far. I knew my place as an unknown writer and also as a messenger for Billy Junior White.
Instantly, the sound of Stevan and Nate's applause echoed, making my face turn even redder now. I felt like running away from here, but I dismissed the thought as it would give my two rogue friends another chance to tease me.
"I'm warning you, Man! You can't handle this tiger woman inside!!" Stevan said while giving me a naughty look.
"Here we go. You and your fucking speech," I replied irritably.
"Trust me. I can handle this woman," Billy's teasing smirk made me even more embarrassed.
"Hahaha...I love you, Alex. I'm glad you have this guy!" Nate hugged me gently. A friend I hated but also loved.
Ring...
One message came in and I saw a DM from Owe alias Oliver who sent me a message.
"So sorry, I can't meet you tonight at Browns. There's suddenly a job that I can't leave. If possible, I'd like to reschedule our meeting."
I thought for a moment and looked at Billy. Should I prioritize the guy in front of me now or Oliver, the guy from the virtual world? But what's the harm? I had to find out the truth of that dream. I had to find Oliver to ask and further prove that it wasn't just an ordinary dream. I had to know what had been happening to me lately, and all those recurring dreams.
"Okay. I'll let you know when I can." I replied and then pressed the 'Send' button.
