Meanwhile, I read my mother’s message. I wondered if something had happened at home since my mom was so rare to text me.
“I need to call my mother. I’ll be right back,” I said to Stacy.
“Sure. No worries.”
Then I walked to the garden. After taking a seat, I called my mother, “Mom, what happened?”
“Oh, sweetheart, it’s bad!”
“What happened? Are you okay?”
“I’m okay. I’m just furious.” My mom blew some air. “Kenneth just came here.”
“Kenneth? What did he want?”
“He asked me to persuade you to come back to him.”
“Never! I haven’t told you before, but he cheated on me with another woman, mom!”
“Yes, I concluded it later. When I asked Kenneth why you two broke up, he said he wasn’t ready yet for a serious relationship. But in the end, he showed his real motive. Money!”
I closed my eyes. I didn’t want to tell my mother the details because I didn’t want to trouble her. Yet, it was Kenneth who opened it all to my mom.
“Yes, he persuaded me to come back to him because of that. When I refused him, he asked me to pretend to be his girlfriend only in front of his parents.”
“The guy is sick! I’m glad that you have no relationship whatsoever with him anymore.”
“Yes, mom. I’m so happy that I have Ethan right now.”
“Yes.” My mother was silent for a while. Then she said, “Helena, I have something I need to ask you.”
“Oh, just ask, mom.”
“Kenneth told me about you and Ethan. He said that you had shared Ethan’s bed and given your virginity to him. Kenneth also said that you told him about it. Is that true?”
My hands were trembling. I didn’t expect Kenneth to tell my mother about my intimate situation. “Uh, mom—”
“If it’s true, it’s okay, sweetheart. I mean, well, you have grown up. But if it’s true, we need to talk about contraception.”
“Uh, well, it’s awkward, but yes, mom, I have shared Ethan’s bed, and he was so gentle with me.”
“I see. Did Ethan use the protection?”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, did he use a condom or release his seeds outside of your body?”
I was confused, but I remembered what had happened the last time. “Oh, yes, the latter, mom.”
“I see. At least, Ethan still took precautions.”
“Yes, I told him that I hadn’t been ready yet for pregnancy. But, also—” I blushed profusely “—uh, well, Ethan wanted me to have pleasures more than taking pleasure for himself.”
“It’s wonderful, sweetheart. It means he isn’t a self-centered man.”
“Yes, I think so.”
My mother blew her breath again. “I’m glad now. But still, once you are home, I’ll explain to you about the protection. I have been neglectful. I always think of you as my sweet little girl, while you are an adult woman now.”
“Oh, mom, it’s okay. I’m so grateful and happy that you are my mother. Though we are not related by blood, I feel that you are truly my mother.”
My mom sniffed. “Oh, Helena, you make me so happy. I” m so happy too that you are my daughter. Now, it must not be your rest time. Go back to work, sweetheart. We’ll talk again at home.”
When I was back inside, Stacy glanced at me. “Is everything okay?”
I nodded. “Yes, but Kenneth came to our house.”
“He did what?!”
“He asked my mom to persuade me to return to him.”
Stacy shook her head and gasped. “He did not!”
“Yes, he did.”
“What a nerve! After what he did, he still dared to do that?!”
“Yes, but he did worse things than that.”
“Oh?”
I moved forward and muttered, so only Stacy could hear. “Please keep it to yourself.”
“Okay,” Stacy whispered.
“Kenneth told my mother that Ethan and I had already had sex ….”
Stacy shook her head. “Kenneth is such a bad loser! I hate him now.” But then she grinned. “How was it?”
“What?”
“How good was Ethan on the bed?”
I blushed. I was sure that my face was red. “Oh, Ethan was amazing! He made sure that he gave me pleasure first.”
“Wow!” Stacy whistled again. “Handsome, rich, captivating, protective, unselfish, are you sure your Ethan is a human? To me, he sounded like a fairy tale creature.”
I laughed and covered my mouth with my hand. “Yes, Ethan is real, and I’m fortunate to have him.”
“I’m so happy for you.”
Then I remembered something. “Uh, I have a question, though.”
“Shoot!”
“Is it possible for man and woman to have the pleasure at the same time when they have sex?”
Stacy frowned, and she scratched her head. “What do you mean?”
I blushed since it was so embarrassing to ask about it. Yet, my curiosity won. “Uh, since I wonder why I’m the one who gets the pleasure first, but not Ethan.”
“It’s normal if he wants to please you first.”
“But then, when I touched him, he received his too. So is that a way that we can pleasure each other simultaneously?”
Stacy frowned. “Well, for sure. Normally, when he penetrates you, you should have the pleasure simultaneously. But, unless he can control himself so well, he will let you gain your climax first.”
I then asked another thing, “Uh, my mother told me that she would talk about protection once I arrived home. I feel so dumb, but I need to know. If Ethan didn’t use protection when we did it, how big is the possibility that I got pregnant?”
“Well, it depends if it’s your fertile period or not. If it’s your fertile period, the chance is big.”
“Oh, no!”
“What?”
I recalled the first time we did it. “Ethan didn’t use any protection at all before. But he told me he would protect me.”
“He didn’t use safety? Then you should take a pill as a precaution.”
“Uh, I guess I should. Though the last time Ethan released the seeds outside my body.”
“Did he release it inside yours before?”
