Red approached me, then knelt and kissed my feet. “Luna, I hope you can have a happily ever after with our Alpha. We need you as our Luna too.”
It was the first time Red gave his blessings to Ethan and me. Also, now, Red called me ‘Luna’, not with my name anymore. It seemed Red had finally accepted me. “Thank you, Red.”
“No, thank you, Luna.” Then Red raised his head and grinned. “You may be better going to meet our Alpha. He may think that I give you more trouble since I take your time here.”
I giggled and shook my head. “He should know better than that.” Then I smiled. “I’d see him now. See you later, Red.”
“Yes, Luna. Have fun.” Red grinned widely.
I just smiled and walked to Ethan’s room. The door opened, so I stepped inside.
Ethan immediately walked to the door, later closed and then locked it. “What took you so long?”
“Well, Red and I just chatted. I think he has accepted me as your mate and your Luna.”
“Our Luna,” Ethan corrected me. He grinned and wrapped his arms around my waist. “So, what did you two talk about?”
“Well, Red apologized again though I had said I had forgiven him. Well, we didn’t talk a lot, but basically, he had accepted me now.”
“Well done, Luna. You make me so proud, you know.”
“Oh? Why?”
Ethan brought me to the bed. He sat first, and he got me on his lap. “You have shown a quality of great Luna today.”
“Sorry? I don’t get it.”
“A Luna is an Alpha’s mate but also the leader of the community. Her role is like a mother to her family. You have just shown that you are fit to fill Luna’s role.”
“Ah, before now, I inferred from Ernie’s explanation that Luna was just a term for an Alpha’s mate. I didn’t know that it also had a strategic role.”
Ethan smiled. “Red was furious when he knew you were my mate, but you managed it even better. Wow! You amaze me!”
I blushed and shook my head. “No, it’s normal. Anyone will do the same.”
“Not everyone is so kind and gracious as you, my lovely one.” Then Ethan touched my face. “Have I told you how beautiful you are today?”
“Only today?”
Ethan grinned. “Now, who’s finishing the compliment?”
I pinched Ethan’s stomach, then he groaned and took my fingers into his mouth and bit them.
“Ouch!”
“We are even now!”
“Blood-thirsty!”
Ethan laughed so hard. “Yes, I am! So, what do you want to do now? Huh?”
Then I held Ethan’s face with both hands. “I want to plead with you.”
“Plead? For what?”
“For Red.”
Ethan gave no reaction. ”Why?”
“Because though he was wrong, he had a good intention.”
“Good intention?”
“Yes, he thought the best for you, your community, and me. He didn’t deserve to die.”
Ethan didn’t reply to anything. Instead, he stared at me until I looked at him with pleading eyes again.
“Please, let him go. You can punish him, but not kill him.”
“I may demote him into the lowest position.”
“No! He did it not for selfish reasons. Please forgive him only this time.”
“Why did you defend him? He hurt you too, right?”
I bit my lower lip. “I admit that I was sad when Red asked me to stay away from you at that time. But he didn’t want me to die and didn’t want you to be hurt again like when Lynnette died. So, yeah, I understood his intention.”
“Oh, I—”
“Maybe I can change your mind.”
“Oh?”
“Since you want to go to Crescent Island again, I will miss you. Not only because I’m pleading for Red, but I want you for myself. What do you think?”
Ethan frowned. “What are you thinking? I don’t get it.”
“I want to be with you now.”
“You have been with me now.”
“Uhm, well, I mean ….” I blushed and scratched my head. I was too shy to say it but knew I wanted him.
Then Ethan said, “Do you want me, my darling?”
“Yes.”

“I want you.”
Then I showed how much I wanted Ethan, but Ethan also showed how much he wanted me. Finally, after an hour, we slept by embracing each other.
After we woke up later, Ethan drove me home. Before Ethan left, I hugged him. “Be careful on your trip. Go home soon. I’m waiting here.”
“Stay out of trouble. Avoid Constantine and Kenneth.”
“Yes, I will.”
Then Ethan kissed my forehead. “Nothing that I want more than to go home soon, to you, since you are my home now.”
I held my breath since what Ethan said was so romantic. “Yes, I’ll wait here but don’t go too long.”
Ethan pulled me into his embrace. Then, again, he kissed my forehead. “It’s for us too. I didn’t want to leave you, but I must.”
I bit my lower lip, so I didn’t cry. “I know. It’s just …. I’ll miss you so much. I miss you already.”
Ethan stared at me and smiled. “Look at me and remember me well in your memory. Then, if you miss me, you only need to contact me through our mind.”
I giggled. “I’ll take your pic. So, whenever I miss you, I only need to see the photo.”
“Right! Let’s take pictures together and send them to me afterward.”
Then I took a few pictures of us together.
The last time, Ethan grinned. “Let’s kiss and take a pic of that.”
I blushed but asked, “It’ll be hard to take a picture while kissing.”
Ethan shook his head. “Let me contact Red so he can help us.”
In a minute, Red showed up. I gasped since I didn’t expect him to come so fast.
“Give your phone to Red. Let him take a photo of us.”
Red grinned. “Sure, Alpha, Luna.”
My face was hot, but I did what Ethan said. After handing over my phone, I was back to Ethan. He pulled me into his hug and startled me by kissing me passionately on my lips. I gasped, and Ethan deepened his kiss. Then he kissed my neck too on the bite mark area.
He stroked my hair and stared at me with a tender look. “Whenever you miss me, touch the bite mark. You can also contact me through our mind link.”
