THE ALPHA'S LUNA Chapter 14

I held the wall to steady myself, ready to lash out at the person who was obviously blind to see that I was coming.

I got the shock of my life when I looked up, and it was that red-haired bitch, Sophia. Her very presence irritated me. I couldn't even hide my scowl, as my lips curled in disgust.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Are you blind?" I barked furiously at her, my voice leaking with power as my wolf came out momentarily.

"I am so sorry, Luna. I was lost in thought and I didn't notice anyone there." She bowed her head as she replied in a calm voice, her sentences heavily accented.

I almost felt bad for her. She hadn't done anything wrong to me, and here I was, terrorizing her. "What do you want? Richard isn't here". I crossed my arms, trying to appear intimidating.

"I know that Richard isn't here, but I actually came to talk to you."

What!?! I froze in place as I tried to process what she had just said. "Excuse me? What do you mean by you want to talk to me?" My voice did not hide my shock.

"Can we move to somewhere private so we can discuss more?"

"Uhm, sure." I had no idea where we were going. I just followed her lead as we went up to the second floor. I had trouble keeping up with her as she was throwing her long legs about. I had to put my rather short ones through stress.

We finally got to the floor, and she began marching towards the end of the hall till we got to a little room at the end. Dust and cobwebs covered a large percentage of the doors, especially around the corner.

Judging by what I was seeing, it should be an abandoned room. We maneuvered through the cobwebs and pushed the doors open, entering inside. It was more of a storage room filled with dusty books and the like. I managed to find a clean spot, and I stood there. My arms folded, looking up at her, waiting for her to start.

"I just want to apologize for everything." OK, this is surprising. This wasn't the direction I was thinking this talk would take. I had already prepared myself mentally for a fight, but this was also a welcome surprise.

As soon as she noticed I wasn't going to reply, she continued. "I had no idea Richard had found his mate. Nor did I know you were the one... I don't want us to have a bad start, so I am here to ask for forgiveness. I have already broken up with Richard, so you have nothing to worry about." Then she lowered her head to 90-degrees, bowing deeply while waiting for my response.

Jealousy reared its ugly head as I watched her boobs hang low, her cleavage on full display. It reminded me of my scarcity of adequate services in that area. I guess Richard likes girls with large bosoms.

I looked at the mop of red hair dangling around her head, my anger dissipating at her words. "First of all, it is Alpha to you, not Richard. I have heard your apology and I accept it. But if I see you with Richard in anyway, I will let my wolf maul you to death." My eyes flared red as I let out my wolf a bit, daring her to go against me.

She should be a low or middle-rank wolf from the way she shivered at my words. I smiled, my fangs showing as my words carried the necessary effect. "Stop scaring the poor girl, Bella." Kiayra chided me. I rolled my eyes at her, whatever.

"If you have nothing to say again, you can take your leave."

"Yes, Luna. I'm sorry once again." I waved her apology off and watched as she scurried out of the room.

Good riddance.

Not wanting to spend another minute in the dusty room, I hurried out of the room, making sure to close the door firmly. Now, what was I about to do?

Oh yes! I remembered. I was going to go to my room, get dressed, and break all the rules Richard had ever laid down. He would regret ignoring me.

I marched down the stairs, heading to my room. I could hear whispers around me, but I ignored them, not one bit bothered by them. I had a lot on my mind, so what others were saying was the last thing on my mind.

I got to the now familiar brown door and nudged it. Surprisingly, it opened and I peeped inside just to be sure no one was there. I wouldn't want to be kidnapped on my first day here.

Satisfied with what I saw and perceived, I went inside, and this time, I bolted the door. I wouldn't want what happened before to repeat itself. I looked around, my eyes quickly scanning the space before me, making sure no one had come to tamper with anything.

I stripped yesterday's clothes from my body, feeling better. I was too lazy to go get my clothes from the room, and now I am reaping the consequence. My skin was beginning to feel itchy, and I could feel that I was going to have breakouts at any moment.

The environment isn't one I am accustomed to, so it will take a while before my skin gets used to it. And I know, we are werewolves with supernatural heaping blah, blah, blah, but some things do affect us.

I strutted to the bathroom, making sure to count my steps as I swung my butt in a seductive way. I paused when I came across the large mirror just close to the bathtub. I stood in front of it and looked at the reflection in front of me.

I stared at the woman before me, taking in all of her. The Alpha genes really did me good. I got most of the good attributes that come with being a werewolf. My skin, a rich brown color, was smooth and soft, my eyes shining brightly. I cast my eyes lower, looking at my chest. I couldn't help the wave of insecurity I felt.

Back at home, I never really considered myself flat. Yes, I may not have had the biggest boobs in the pack, but I had a nice pair. But seeing Sophia's made me feel a certain kind of way, and not a good one.

I turned around, admiring my best features. What I may not have had in the chest department, I made up for in ass. It wasn't so big that it was uncomfortable, but it was portable. Plus, my ancestors blessed me with hips. Back in university, I couldn't go anywhere without heads turning. At first, I was shy and did hide myself, but with time I may have come to love it as a part of me.

When I had enough of admiring myself, I went to the tub and let the tap run, filling it. I searched around for some bath bombs and scented candles. I lit the candle, slowly dipping into the lukewarm water until I was fully submerged in the water, save my head.

I heaved a sigh of relief as I settled in well, feeling my muscles begin to loosen as I soaked. I leaned backwards, resting myself on the tub, as I felt the water begin to perform its magic. My lids began to flutter, struggling to open. Unable to resist any longer, I closed my eyes, the scent of the candles reminding me of home.

I opened my eyes after some minutes, feeling much more refreshed. I picked up the loofah and began to scrub at my skin, washing away the grime and sweat of yesterday. I was careful not to scrub my neck too much. It just became so sensitive all of a sudden and touching it elicited a huge wave of pleasure coursing through my blood.

I got out of the tub, making sure to drain the water. I made my way to the shower to rinse off the oil from my body. I wrapped myself with the fluffy towel I found on the bed linen and padded to the bedroom, my wet feet leaving a trail of water behind me.

I got dressed very fast, making sure to drench myself in perfume, trying to mask out Richard's scent. I wasn't ready to do a repeat of yesterday, and I am not really on good terms with his mother. The last thing I would want her to do is smell her son on me.

The chime from the grandfather clock reminded me that it was 9 o'clock, and if I wanted to make it to breakfast, I had to hurry up. My eyes mistakenly collided with the portrait on the wall, and I paled as the eyes of Richard's ancestors bore down on me. They looked so scary and intimidating with their stern faces.

I shivered as I remembered that I was still on my towel and their eyes were still boring into me like they could see my soul. I hurriedly went to the closet to avoid their gaze. I got dressed in a pair of jeans and my favorite top. It was a red top I got online. Although it was pricey, I had no choice but to get it because it suits me well.

I walked back to the room, now standing in front of the mirror, taking note of my dressing. I removed my bonnet from my head and watched as the luscious braids fell down. Leaving it down was nice, but it would be all in my face, and I wouldn't want that. So, I packed it in an up do.

I made use of a styling gel to lay my edges. I smiled at the woman in front of me, feeling much more confident. My mind briefly flashed to Richard, wondering what he was doing.

A part of me (obviously Kiayra) wanted to just roll over and submit to his every word. But a part of me, and a larger part, wanted to be rebellious, daring him to do his worst.

Weighing the two options before me, I went for the latter one. Whatever is, will be. Besides, I wanted to do a little exploring today.

Taking one last glance at the mirror, and adjusting where necessary. I stood at the door and opened it. I made sure to close it well when I came out.

I was off to be rebellious.
