He wanted her, he could not deny himself the truth. But he wanted her in a way that he would own her and she would have eyes only for him and there would be no strings attached from his own end as he knew within himself that he could never commit to one woman, he was not that kind of a person but it was obvious that Donna was a romantic.
That was a problem, she would rather not be kept.
He groaned and spun once in the chair, coming to rest in the same position he had started in. She was one hell of a person and a difficult one too.
He heard the clicking of shoes making its way to his office and his head snapped to the side, his first thought was that it was Donna but then he caught he scent of the person and let out a groan. Why was she here when he had not called for her?
“Keith darling!” Laura called out loud when she entered into his office and found him sitting by himself and facing the window. He turned in the chair to face her, maintaining a straight face even after seeing her.
“You’re becoming a regular here.” he said to her.
She chuckled and walked up to him. “Anything to see my darling.” she bent to kiss him but he turned his face away in time and the kiss landed on his cheek.
She stood up straight and looked at him with a confused look on her face. “What is the matter gummy bear?”
“You know how much I hate those nicknames.” He frowned but didn’t look at her.
She rolled her eyes, waved her hand in the air like she was brushing off his statement, leaped up on his desk to sit and crossed her legs.
“So what’s with the gloom?”
“It’s nothing that should concern you.” he said with coldness in his voice. Laura frowned at him.
“And why not? I am your Luna after all, so it should concern me.”
Keith chuckled and rocked in his chair, not saying anything. Laura gritted her teeth and crossed her arms, throwing her face to another direction, then she remembered that she had not seen his secretary on her way in.
“By the way, where is your precious secretary?”
“She’s off today.” he replied curtly.
“She took an off?” Laura asked in surprise, then she chuckled and added. “Oh I must have really scared the poor thing.”
Keith eyebrow raised as he looked at her. “What do you mean by that?”
She giggled and sat properly on his desk, readying herself to give him the details of what she had done. “So the last time I was here, she had said something I found really offensive so I decided to get back with her.”
Keith frowned now, getting impatient. “Laura, what did you do?”
She smirked and rolled her eyes with a smile then crossed her legs. “I might have messed with her car a little, timed it just right that it would break down right where I wanted it to and then my girls and I played with her a little.” she chuckled.
“You did what?!” his voice boomed throughout the office and he stood up abruptly, the back of his knees pushing against his chair. Laura shook in surprise.
“Keith baby, what’s wrong?” she looked at him in surprise.
“It was you who messed with her car?!” he fumed. “And you did what with your girls?”
“Relax Keith, it was just a prank, not that we did anything that would harm her seriously…”
He snapped and his hand shot out, grabbing her by the neck, he lifted her off his desk and made her stand on the floor but didn’t let go of her neck. She choked and grabbed his wrist, her eyes burning into his.
“Keith… what…” she choked. He was suffocating her, she scratched away at his hand as she was not strong enough to pry them off her.
He bared his teeth to her, showcasing his fangs and his claws grew, piercing into her flesh. “What gave you the right to think you could lay hands on what is mine?!” he yelled at her with a commanding voice, she flinched and shivered and begged and clawed. His grip was beginning to hurt a lot more than was comfortable for her to bear.
“...Keith…”
He pulled her close to himself and whispered into her ears. “Get out.” then he pushed her over the desk with minimal force but she tumbled off the desk and landed ungracefully on the floor. She coughed and tried to catch her breath before she got on her knees and looked at Keith in shock, anger and surprise.
“You would treat me like this because of a mere human who serves you?” she asked him in a weak voice but Keith was not calm, he had not calmed down. His teeth and fangs and claws were still out and fur had begun to grow on the back of his hands and around his face. He growled at her with bloodshot eyes and Laura scrambled to her feet, grabbed her bag and took careful steps back towards the office door.
She took one long last look at him before she turned away and hurried out of his office.
Keith growled and punched the desk hard, causing the wood to splinter and crack, he had punched a hole right through the desk. He cursed when he perceived the smell of his own blood from the injury that had formed on his fist, Donna had told him about her car breaking down, yes he remembered that, but she had not told her about the things that Laura and her girls had done to her.
He felt his anger returning but he knew he had to control his temper, he needed to find Donna and have her tell him with her own mouth what Laura had done and then explain why she had kept it from him.
