I laughed, lifting my brows in amusement. "I'm aware that we're wearing blue!" He just burst out laughing, and it was a particularly pleasant chuckle.
The game had come to a conclusion, and we had won. Following the game's last touchdown, Henry and Daniel were carried off the field by the rest of the team. They were credited with setting up and scoring the game's winning touchdown. "I'll see you at the party," Susan replied as she rose to her feet.
As I played with my cell phone, I saw a text from my mother informing me that she and James would not be returning home tonight since they were staying at a hotel. "All right," I answered absentmindedly. Apparently, James was planning a surprise celebration for her for their half-year anniversary, but I already knew that because he told me about it last week. Blake had moved up next to me again again, and I had completely missed it. The bleachers were almost completely empty by this point, but I had to wait for Henry.
"Are you going to a party?" he purred in my ear, causing me to tremble with excitement.
"Um, I'm not sure who that is. I'm pretty stumped." The fact is, I've just been here for a week and have no idea who anyone is." I shook my head.
"So, I'm not able to persuade you to accompany me to dinner tonight?" he inquired, making an endearing puppy dog face in my direction. I looked into his light blue eyes and drew in a shaky breath because he was making me slightly nervous. I don't normally get apprehensive around men, but this one had my hands start to sweat a little more than usual.
"No, I'm sorry," I said, trying to make it appear as though he wasn't having an effect on me. He reached out and pulled my cell phone out of my grasp, punching something into it in the process. “Hey!” As I attempted to wrest it back from him, I sobbed.
He couldn't help but giggle as he kept the item out of reach. "How about tomorrow night?" he inquired. "How about tomorrow night?"
tomorrow was movie night, so I smirked at the thought. "Can't because I'm too busy," I explained matter-of-factly.
"How about the day after?" he inquired, raising his pierced forehead.
"I'm busy," I answered, my voice cracking with laughter.
He didn't say anything, just sighed and shook his head. "I'm not going to give up, believe me." "I always get what I want," he asserted emphatically, his gaze fixed on mine. My stomach's stomach clenched in knots at his assurances. I'm willing to bet that assertion was correct as well. I'm sure he had a lot of girls falling at his feet every day when he looked like that.
"It's up to you," I said, a devious smile on my face as I looked at him through my eyelashes, attempting to be seductive in my approach. Inhale deeply through his nose, exhale slowly through his mouth, and you can hear him sigh.
Just at that moment, Henry stepped up the stairwell towards me, his gaze fixed on Blake. I had absolutely no idea why he would be giving him that look; Henry was generally a pleasant person to be around. Then I sprung to my feet and dashed over to him, wrapping my arms and legs around him and kissing him on the cheek. "Wow, that was fantastic! "Excellent work," I exclaimed happily.
He burst out laughing. "You're absolutely right, Samantha Bear. Tell me about one of the plays that I performed, and I'll trust you when you say that you comprehended what was going on!" He taunted me by tickling my chin.
When I couldn't come up with anything, I nibbled on my lower lip in frustration. He had a very intimate knowledge of me. "There was a foul ball, to be honest with you. 'And I thought your touchdown at the end was fantastic," I said, casting a sideways glance at Blake, who smiled and shook his head at my feeble attempts to make excuses for my actions.
"She was keeping an eye on me. Do not worry, she didn't see a difference in your abilities over there, Williams," Blake remarked as he began to stroll by us. "Oh, I almost forgot about that. Samantha, please take this phone. Please phone me if your mind changes," he purred, smiling at me. "Thank you." When I took the phone from him, he purposely ran his finger across mine, and I grinned.
"Don't hold your breath, Stud, because I'm not going to change my mind," I said, a sneer on my face. Blake didn't say anything but laughed and went away. I couldn't help myself; I kept my gaze fixed on his behind as he walked away. When I turned around, Henry was staring at me with a sour expression. “What?” I inquired innocently, embarrassed because he'd caught me glancing at a guy's rear and informed me of his actions.
Then he put his arm around my shoulders and led me in the opposite way of where Blake had gone. "He's too old for you," he replied simply, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and bringing me in the opposite direction of where Blake had gone.
"Am I getting too old for this?" "Do you happen to know him then?" I was a little taken aback by the question.
"Yeah, I'm familiar with him. He used to come here, but he stopped coming about two years ago. We were both on the same football squad for a short period of time. "His name is Blake Chambers," he introduced himself. I shifted my gaze away from his words, which had a faint edge of wrath to it.
"All right, and you don't care for him, do you?" My question came as I squeezed myself closer to him.
"Not in the traditional sense. He's a complete team player. "I believe he had slept with all of the females at school before he departed," I believe. He expressed his dissatisfaction by shaking his head.
"Hmm, sounds like someone else I know," I remarked, a chin-tap indicating my amusement.
He burst out laughing. He is nothing like me; in fact, I believe he literally slept with every single lady at the school." Some even claimed that he had slept with one of the school's instructors. "And I'll say it again; he's too old for you," he remarked firmly, his eyes warningly fixed on me. I nodded and smiled, as if I understood what was being said, merely to bring the talk to a close.
Susan had predicted that the party would be raucous, and she was right. There was a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, body shots, drinking games, and thumping music to choose from. I even came across a couple of men from my high school who were selling drugs, but I stayed well away from them.
Susan drew me to the dance floor when I was on my sixth shot. Her grin indicated that she had met Blake Chambers. "So, you met Blake Chambers," she added.
"Oh, hell yeah, I met him, and I would absolutely like to meet more of him," I sloshed my vodka down my throat, trembling slightly at the tiny burn in my throat.
She sighed, her voice dreamy. "He's really hot."
I agreed with a nod of my head. “Definitely hot. "However, he's a total team player, right?" As I responded, I was dancing in time to the pulse of the music. A blond boy was attempting to dry hump me from behind when I turned around.
"Do you mind if I ask?" As I yelled, I placed a hand on his chest and pushed him away from me.
"No, baby, it's not a problem at all." He laughed and turned to face me once more.
I snatched his balls from under his feet with both hands. He gave out a small whimper and squirmed beneath my hold as I spat venomously. "If you want to keep these, I suggest you get them as far away from me as possible," I said as I squeezed him even tighter.
"All right, all right, jeez. Sorry!” I let go of him as he threw his hands up in defeat. He winced, gripping his crotch, and sauntering away with a small limp in his steps.
