The Cursed Alpha's Redemption Chapter 14

For the whole period of the council meeting, Killian did not say a single word to Kendra.

Everything he wanted to say that required him addressing her, he threw to their gamma, Miguel, instead.

He had seen how much that had unnerved her, but he literally didn’t care.

It wasn’t like she had cared about his feelings when she had turned up late to the meeting with his worst enemy anyway.

By the time the meeting had ended, Killian was a complete thinking mess.

Was Tyrone courting his Beta?

It seemed like the only logical explanation… the only reason why they were suddenly spending so much time together.

But if that were so, why hadn’t Kendra told him about it?

Of course she knows you’re going to blow your fucking fuse, you arrogant brute!

His conscience mocked darkly, but he brushed the thoughts aside.

He didn’t care.

Kendra could do whatever she wanted with her life, it wasn’t much of his business anyway even if they were best friends.

So, if she didn’t consider him worthy enough to know who was courting her and what not, he was completely fine with that.

If you’re fine with that, why were you the first person to leave the council meeting then?

Why did you ignore her all that time?

Well, Killian had no answer to that.

It was nighttime now… way past midnight in fact, and he was currently in his study. A couple of paperwork that he still needed to attend to littered his desk.

But he couldn’t for the love of him concentrate on them.

He was too wound up.

What he needed was a fucking drink, but there was none in his study, meaning he had to go out and get some… with that came the possibility of bumping into the she-wolf who had made him a mess all day—

And when he thought about that, getting wine didn’t seem that much important anymore.

Being the naturally stubborn wolf that he was, Killian tried to hold on for a bit longer, but he only survived for an hour and a few minutes… and he was nowhere near done.

He really needed to go get that drink. Now.

All consequences be damned.

And so the Alpha stepped out of his study, using the longer winding routes that would lead him to kitchens.

There was a shorter route, but he was going to have to pass by Kendra’s chambers, and he’d rather die than do that.

And so he continued the long journey.

Killian was almost out of the long, narrow corridor when he heard the female voice call his name, his heart skipping a beat.

“Why are you prowling around in the shadows, Killian?”

He couldn’t see her, but that was definitely her voice.

“Kendra?”

He followed the sound of the voice, stopping right before the grand staircase where an amused Maymunah stood, waiting for him.

Damn the old hag for pretending to be Kendra!

“Are you kidding me?” He growled. “That wasn’t funny in the slightest bit, Maymunah.” He chided angrily, but the Oracle only chuckled.

“You two really need to talk.” She said, her staff thumping the ground as she shuffled a little bit.

It was now Killian’s turn to laugh, though his was more forceful. “I don’t think she’d want to see me after all I’ve done today, Maymunah.” He confessed, contritely.

“Oh, Killian… you two are best friends, I think your relationship can survive just about anything.”

The young Alpha just shook his head wistfully at that. “Well, I doubt it can survive this. Anyway,” He tried to change the topic, “How are you still out and about by this time?”

“I came to see you, actually. I’ve got good news.”

Killian cocked an eyebrow curiously, “Does it have to do with our war with the Curers? Are we going to emerge victorious?”

At this point, that was the most important thing on his mind.

“Even better, son… my prayers have finally been answered. Finally one of the gods are willing to help us get rid of the curse. Isn’t that great?”

“Which god?”

“Selene.” Came the reply.

The name made Killian want to burst out in laughter but he kept quiet.

Thing was, how in the hell was the goddess of the moon going to help him with this predicament?

He wasn’t exactly sure she was powerful enough to face the goddess of love head-on on his behalf.

But either way, he was very much grateful for the assistance, and he told the Oracle so.

He just hoped that with the goddess of the moon’s help they could do something about his situation… if not eradicate it completely, at least get things back to the way it was before— where the curse affected only him, and had nothing to do with his pack.

She was responsible for his current predicament anyway.

“Well, this is really great news… so what’s she going to do?” The curious Alpha asked.

“I’m afraid I don’t know that yet, all I had was a prophecy with the words,

In the darkness of the night,

And the gloomiest of shadows,

There will shine my light,

To warm your hearts and lick away your sorrows.

Killian sighed.

More prophecies.

Now he was beginning to get tired of those.

But at least this promised some kind of happy ending? There was hope-ish.

Surprisingly, Killian had this suddenly uncontrollable urge to seek out Kendra and break the good news to her. Yeah, yeah… he had avoided her the whole day, badly hurt her feelings— hell, maybe she wouldn’t even want to see him.

But he didn’t care.

If he couldn’t share this news with his best friend, who else was he going to tell?

With that thought in mind, the Alpha bid a knowing Maymunah goodnight and headed for Kendra’s chambers.

Now would you look at that?

He suddenly didn’t need that drink anymore.

*****

Killian was knocking, but no one was answering.

Where could she have gone?

The Alpha didn’t really think she was out, but nevertheless, he reached for the knob and turned, his suspicions confirmed when the door slowly slid opened.

She should be inside then.

Killian stepped into the room, feeling for the first time in his life as if he was invading her privacy.

But that was just crazy, they had been barging into each other’s rooms for as long as he could remember, so why was he feeling weird now?

Maybe it’s because you have been a very bad friend.

His conscience mocked darkly, but he ignored it, choosing instead to check out the room missing the person he was looking for.

She was clearly out, but why would she leave her door open?

Maybe she hadn’t gone so far.

For as long as Killian could remember, Kendra was obsessed with the color pink, or as she liked to call it… Rose. You could see the obsession in the way the color littered the room, the bed, the armoire.

Of course, it had been blended with other colors to give the whole room a breathtaking appearance, but Killian always found it amusing.

With her tough personality and seriousness, he found it quite endearing that she allowed herself to be as feminine as she could be without caring about other’s opinions.

She was always a breath of fresh air.

With the room empty, Killian turned to leave, figuring she’d be in the pack gardens, or in the kitchens, but a sound stopped him right in his tracks.

He thought he heard someone moan.

The Alpha froze, thinking it might have been a figment of his imagination, but just when he started to doubt himself, he heard it again.

It seemed to be coming from the inner chambers.

The broad wolf’s legs started transporting him towards the sound even before he could react, his heart suddenly pounding rapidly against his chest, his breath quickening in anticipation.

He heard her once again before he finally saw her.

There Kendra lay in the wooden bathtub, her hair wet and cascading down her shoulders, her knees bent and her back arched, her right hand reaching down to caress her womanly folds, the left tugging at an erect nipple.

Killian was mesmerized.

Her eyes were closed, she seemed so lost in pleasure as soft whimpers and gasps escaped her lips. She didn’t even realise that she had company.

And then just when Killian was coming to terms with the whole situation, heard it, loud and clear…

She moaned out his name!

SHE MOANED OUT HIS NAME!!!

He couldn’t believe it!

She was pleasuring herself to thoughts of him.

Never had he for once thought that she would see him in that light… t-the sheer revelation of it all was doing unexplainable things to him… he felt— he felt as though he was on fire!

At this point, Killian’s legs had turned into lead, so much so that even if he wanted to leave the room, he wouldn’t have been able to…

But he didn’t want to leave anyway.

He was too far gone, too much invested in this to want to leave now. He wanted to see how it ended, wanted to see this side of his Beta that he had never thought he would ever have the privilege to see.

And so he watched her, listened to her moans and her cries of his name get higher and higher… never had Killian seen a sight so erotic and yet so beautiful, and fuck, each time she moaned out his name, he felt this indescribable feeling that he couldn’t explain.

He watched the beautiful she-wolf aggressively chase that high that she so much sought… he watched her cup her full, succulent, perky mounds with both hands and squeeze so tight that he thought for a second that they would burst…

****

Kendra’s eyes fluttered open just before she peaked, a loud gasp that quickly turned into a moan escaping her lips at the sight of the very man she had been thinking of as she pleasured herself.

He was watching her.

Fuck, how long had he been standing there, watching her?

How the fuck did he get in?

She thought she had locked the door!

One would have thought that Kendra would stop her ministrations at the interruption, and under normal circumstances, she might have…

But this was in no way normal.

Her Alpha and best friend… who had been the occupier of her thoughts as she pleasured herself and tried to live her darkest fantasies in the only way she knew could, was there in the flesh, completely mesmerized as he watched her play with her body… completely struggling to maintain control…

She couldn’t stop even if she wanted to.

And she didn’t even want to.

Her pleasure-filled gaze stared him down as she continued her ministrations, drifting from his handsome face, to his broad chest and finally to his slacks…

There was no mistaking it,

The Alpha was hard!

Apparently, that was all Kendra needed to push her off the edge.

Her orgasm hit, strong and bright… that high she was chasing, its force so intense that she shook, and spasmed and trembled… muttering the word fuck over and over and over again.
