Rupert POV
"Hey, Rupert look." Mason yelled, pointing to her thigh, there was a mark, it was imprinted on her but it was not a mating mark but that of a prostitute or a slave.
"Is she a prostitute running away from her master?" I questioned not expecting an answer but Mason replied.
"Yes, this should belong to alpha David, I am sure, he is the owner of this imprint, he is the one running an illegal brothel forcing girls to work for him, she-wolves sold to him by their alpha or the ones he conquer forcefully."
"Does it mean she didn't become a prostitute willingly?"
"Probably, if she did, she wouldn't have been on the run." That was his reply.
"Fine, I will send her to him first thing tomorrow." Mason looked at me, my reply had left him confused, even I was confused, why will I want to send a girl back to who she is running away from?
"Rupert, you can't send her back there, he is going to kill her."
"And I too we kill her, she can't stay here, first thing in the morning, I will send her away."
"Come on Rupert, you and I know you are the only one who could protect her, you are the only one that...'
"Mason, have you forgotten who I am, maybe, I should remind you, I am Prince Rupert, the cursed prince with a scary face because he was cursed by the moon goddess, the one monster that devours every she-wolf that her blood scent invaded his nose. That is who I am, I am the monster no one wants to be with and she too is disgusted with my appearance." I sighed at the mention of my last words, I don't know why I felt hurt when my face disgust her, I received that from everyone around, I should get used to it, she wouldn't be an option.
"But you didn't."
"Maybe, because of her..."
"Go on."
"Stop talking nonsense, If she had come here to seek solace it only means that she wants you to protect her."
"Mason, she doesn't know what she just did, I am sure, she had no idea who the owner of this castle is, I am sure, she wouldn't attribute this beautiful castle to a monster like me, the castle is heaven but the owner is hell."
Mason pinned his lips together and then stared at me.
"I don't think that she doesn't know the owner of this castle, she must have known that you are a monster, as you call yourself."
"Shut up!" I yelled at him
"Fine, you should do what you want, if your heart lets you." I tittered at his words
"Have you forgotten, I don't have a heart, it's a space, an empty box."
"Fine, get her off these clothes, she might catch a cold, I am out of here. Mason grabbed his stuff and held the door. You should do what is right, see you tomorrow." He pulled the door and walked out, I turned and I look at the brown hair girl lying on my couch, she is sleeping peacefully, my eyes move to her, now I have to change her wears, I sighed as the realization dawned on me, that I might see her nude.
"Holy shit, why did you have to come here? Didn't your wolf tell you that this is no place for someone like you?" I carried her in my arm as I take her to a room in the castle, I place her on the bed gently, throw the duvet to cover her, why undress her, and wear her one of my shirts.
"Stupid, she is going to be on my shirt." I cursed again. "Did you even know what you just did?" I quizzed, as I turned and stared at her.
"Is it true that Alpha David did this to you?" Yet again, I am been too inquisitive, what is my business who did that to her, first thing tomorrow, as she wakes up, I will throw her out of my eyes and my life.
"Was she in your life?" My wolf spoke.
"Oh no, you decided to speak to me, after prolonged silence."
"What were you expecting me to say? You were arguing with the alpha, he is only trying to help."
"Oh please!!!" I found myself getting angry again, my wolf sighed and then go mute, you wouldn't blame me, I am tired of everything, I have gone to see my father and I asked that he killed me, yet he refused.
"Saying that he can't kill his blood"
"Why?" I yelled at him. "Is it because you know, your good son can't win all these wars for you?"
"Can you stop questioning me? I can't kill you, and you should know that the pack members are getting mad at your actions, you should stop killing she-wolves to satisfy your bloody vampire, if you must drink blood must you drink till they passed out."
"It's because I need to quench my taste and they don't do that."
"Did you hear yourself talk? You are cursed already, still, you wouldn't want to open your heart..."
"What heart? Have you forgotten the moon goddess take my heart from me?''
"Maybe, you should get married, I could buy a she-wolf..."
"And then I kill her and you say that I have done something that demands my throw in the dungeon."
"Rupert..."
"That is enough father, I don't need to be good, I am never going to be good, and in this war against she-wolves, I have no end till you decide to end my life."
When I left him, I thought of going in isolation, the fewer she-wolves I see the less craving I will have for their blood but the truth is, of all the days, this she-wolf has to appear on my doorstep, is this day, this day I wanted nothing but death and to be alone.
"I am sorry, I am just sad.' I apologized to Vernon, my wolf, after pushing my thoughts back to reality, he didn't comment on my apologies.
"She smells nice." My wolf comment and the next thing he is trying to force himself out of me.
"No oh!" I pushed him to the back of my mind, as I hurried out of the room, I went to the other side of the castle, a room far from the room this woman is sleeping, I don't want to hear the sound of her breath, I don't want to perceive her smell, I don't want to think that someone, but a pretty woman is lying under the same roof with me, for years no pretty woman had come close to me and have even dared to stare at me in the eyes. I don't want to care about her, I am not going to ask who did this to her because she is none of my business.
"Why?"
"Can you just shut up?" I yelled at him.
"I can't because I am stalk with you."
"Then leave me, if you want to leave me, after all, everyone left me."
"But she is here."
"Holy shit! Must you remind me of her?" I Seethed. "Anyways, I think she made a big mistake coming here, she would had show herself here, she must have lost her mind, because I could kill her here and right now and no one will asked."
No one had dared to climb up here after they had libel this place Heaven and hell, every she-wolf had dreaded this place, it's beautiful and welcoming from the outside but the owner is their end. I tittered at my actions, how come I didn't end up like those monsters with dark creepy castles, maybe so I could get more prey, I could lure my prey with the beautiful sight from afar.
I needed to forget her, I grabbed the bottle of wine, and gulped it, in one straight go, it's seem my throat is tasty for this since I can't get blood, I have no idea when I empty three bottles, the last knock me out, the next morning, the voice in my mind link was what pulled me up.
