Rupert's POV
"Are you trying to pretend again?" I asked, as her head meet my chest, I realized that I have circled my hand around her waist unknowingly. No, she is burning.
"Are you alright?' I asked, but no response came out, I have no option but to pull her from the floor, with one of my arms on her back and the other under her knees, I carried her In a bridal way to her room, and I place her softly on the bed.
"Gosh, why are causing trouble for me?" I asked the naughty girl on my bed, panicked fog my entire being, I was scared, too scared to even throw her out, I grabbed a napkin soaked with water, and I used it on her head, to make her temperature calm down, but it's fucking not working.
Oh dear goddess, what should I do with this woman? For the past years, I don't think I have ever lost control of things, but since the arrival of this woman, it seems that I know nothing in my head, and for all the places, she has to go for solace, why come here?
"You should suck her neck."
"Are you crazy, what if I kill her?" I yelled at my wolf.
"Idiot, I didn't say use your fangs, I said your lips, it will calm her temperature while you reach out for Mason."
My eyes went to the woman trembling on the bed, she is shaking violently, and I need to calm her, Vernon's suggestion could be right but I think I should reach out to Mason not suck her neck, that is crazy.
Trying to connect with Mason on the mind link but the idiot seem to be too busy to connect, I decided to use my phone, but he still didn't take his call.
"Hey! You should come to the castle, once you get this message, it's urgent."
I drop the message, and while I go back to her, I have no choice but to get into the bed, gently I take her hand in mine, rubbing my palm against hers, it is not working.
"Rupert, don't be stubborn, just suck on her neck."
"Can you let me think?"
"What are you thinking about? How to suck her neck, I don't think it's difficult, what you should do is, hover over her, make her rest her back on the bed, then place your lips on her neck and suck on her neck like you are her boyfriend."

He said then kept quiet, I sighed, I have lost the number of times, I have sighed, I cleared my throat, not having a choice, I did as Vernon suggested, when my hand meet her face, I felt electrocuted, some feelings I have no idea, and without warning, Vernon posses me, pressed her hands on the bed, good thing she is unconscious, I suck on her neck, then my hands move volunteer, to her collarbone, it's tempting when my eyes meet her cleavage, I turned trying to control myself, yet again, my hand isn't honest, I press on her bosom, then my hand move upward, I cupped her face, watching her beautiful face, my eyes went down to her lips, they were beautiful red, then her scent hit my nose, that sweet peppermint scent, I thought of claiming her lips, just an inch and gap between our lips push aside will do magic.
"Rupert, come get the door." Mason invaded my mind.
"Holy shit!" I jumped off her, throwing the duvet to cover her, then go get the door. "Hey, what takes you so long? I yelled at Mason."
"Stop yelling, I am busy, what is wrong? Why the urgency?"
"She is..."
"What did you do?"
"Mason, can you stop asking me that every time? It's irritating, I did nothing, I only asked her to leave this morning but she passed out, only for me to realize she is burning."
"Did you give her the drugs yesterday?"
"No, I didn't because I think she doesn't need it."
"Rupert!!!"
"Yes, I know she was pretending in the morning, I thought she is buying time, and that is the reason, she acting like she was unconscious and you brat was aiding her stupidity."
"Fine, she was pretending then but I gave you those drugs because I know that if she isn't attended to, something like that will happen but the stubborn you, will not do anything right."
"Can you stop lecturing me?"
"I give up because you will never listen." Mason makes his way to her room, I rest my back lazily on the wall. "What did you do?"
"I did..." Mason stared at me, I trace his eyes. "Oh that, Vernon said I should suck her neck, it will keep her calm, and you..."
"I know that but the truth is, this is more like a man leaving a love mark on a woman's neck, did you possibly leave a hickey on her neck?"
"Mason, are you mad?"
"No, I think you are becoming human, you even have a boner."
"Bloody shit!" I cursed, looking at my pants, it's seems unbelievable, I have never had this in two years, this is more than I thought, looking at what just happened to me, it's like a mirage, I run out of the room, and I could hear Mason tittering.
Oh moon goddess, why bring me so much pain, can't you just let me have this eternal torment on my own? The door cracks open, and Mason is taking off his groves. "How is she? Is she fit to leave now?"
"Why are you insecure around her?" She chose to stay even after seeing your face.
"I am not insecure around her, I don't want her here, I don't want anyone feeling disgusted with the mere looking at my face."
"Since when did you care, that someone is irritated with your look, you have practically scared everyone with it and it gives you joy when the pack members didn't get the courage to take a second glance at you, why is she different?"

"Prince Rupert." That voice, I paused then turned slowly it was the same woman. "Please, I beg you don't send me away, I..." Before she could finish her words, she is falling again, I find my body moving like a flash, grabbing her before she get to the floor, and yet again, she is in my arms.
"Mason, I thought you..."
"I did, you are the one aggravating her sickness."
"Really now?" My frustrations are at their peak.
"Yes, she came to you, so you should help her."
"That is bullshit, coming to me is her worse mistake."
"At least, she is different, she is not like those cowards that took to their heels the very minute they saw you, and she had survived here for three nights, maybe, you should..."
"Take her to your house."
"Rupert, are you crazy? Why will I take her? She didn't come to me but to you, so..."
"If you are not taking her in, then I will throw her into the cold."
"Fine, do what you want, throw her out, it's easy right?" Mason didn't want to argue with me anymore, he left, banging the door behind him.
"Should I just throw her out?" I sighed. "Why is it so difficult for me to kill you or throw you out?" I wasn't expecting her to answer, I sighed, for the umpteenth time.
"Give her the drugs she needs it." That was Mason invading my mind again, I sighed in frustration, why can't I let her die in the cold, why do I feel that she will be the worse pain, I could ever think of?
Slowly I make my way to the room, I wanted to cover her with the duvet, but she held my hand.
"Hey! What is it?"
"Promise me, you will let me stay, promise me, you not give me away, promise me, that you will help me. Please, promise me."
